guarana Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 i want my money back !!!! the game would be great (even with all the control horrors) if only there were no sword fighting ...it sucks beyond anything words can describe.... i actually put some time into this game (about 80% done) , felt it out even after getting past the bad controls...i liked the action the gun parts bring ... even the grafix at time look great .... i can't get further because im forced to sword fight some bad ass ... theres no way any normal person can beat the guy without dieing afew dozen times ... i dont have that type of patience ... i almost whiped the controller at the tv... after ejecting the disc i wanted to BRAKE IT INTO SMALL PIECES AND PISS ON UM ,SO BAD.... hopefully i can sell it for anything .... farcry vengence may look bad (very bad) but its said to have played great(very great).. dont buy this game (redsteel) the sword fighting alone kills this game..... its my mission to alert everyone if you need a fps , get something else , not this ....(but youll buy it anyhow , like i did , even though i knew it would be like this) it sickens me how many people will end up getting this game .... while better , more nonshitty games sell less... i think ubisoft needs to suffer here , dont buy there crap and the they will be forced to NOT make crap.. but it will sell ....and then more crap will be made ... i hate you redsteel developers who are incharge of the sword controls and turning ....you people owe me 50 bucks...god damn it
solitanze Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Do the shooting elements of the game play better than Geist on Gamecube?
dannbrownn Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Look at it like this: It's everybodies first attempt with the wii, the controls have never been seen before. Also imagine if Ubisoft did not have such a presence on the wii... Zelda would be the only thing carrying the console, My launch title purchases will be: Wii Sports and Wii Play, which dn't really count as they will be coming bundled with other things things, apart from those though i will be buying Zelda, Red Steel, Rayman and GT Pro Series. I have heard nothing but bad things abut GT Pro! But i still want it as it is the most appealing racer to me, it's just the way things are! In a few months time when there are more games out we should have better alternatives and wont even have to think about the bad games!
ultrajamie Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Do the shooting elements of the game play better than Geist on Gamecube? talk about setting a low bar.... who care's if average game A has better or worse controls than VERY average game B
AshMat Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Pfft, i'm still going to Gamesation today to reserve this with my Wii.
Nintendork Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 'thanks, i wasn't gonna get it. i'll get no. 2.
ultrajamie Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Pfft, i'm still going to Gamesation today to reserve this with my Wii. you're only reserving today? good luck..... you'd be better of with one of the 10 or so other games that has actually reviewed WELL> :horse:

I got a confirmation phone call yestuirday. I'm getting my Wii. But i decided to reserve a couple of games with them, instead of buying online, so i cancelled my play.com orders. tbh, reviews mean squat to me, i'll see for myself wether it's a good game or not. All the reviews say pretty much the same thing: The controls jsut take a little getting used to. Give it 30-60 mins and you'll be shooting fine. Yoshi on his week-long webcam seemed fine with the game to me.

McMad Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 'thanks, i wasn't gonna get it. i'll get no. 2. Same, I'm going for Call of Duty 3 now, I need a multiplayer game though...
Cube Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I'm getting this because it's still clearly the best FPS at launch. (I don't like War Time FPS games, and FarCry doesn't look all that good) Also, Red Steel did get some good, and some great reviews. And the odd bad review. It's one game that you can't get based on reviews.
