I read somethign about changing the heap size of an application to give it more access to memory and therefore make it run faster. How can I do this. Or did I just make it up

The game advisors says i can play all these games! It lies I got the latest cataylst and i tried setting the settings to optimum preformance still nothing. I heard guild wars has frame rate issues becuase theres a sound bug. But i dont understand Battelfield 2 and Plantside I set the graphics in the demo to all low and it was still dodgey! anything i can do ?

My pc seems to no be as fast as it used to be especaily in playing games like guild wars. These days it slows down alot more than it used. For instance I used to play guild wars fine but now it gets really slow sometimes. Changing the graphics settings make no difference so i think its to do you the processing speed or some shit like that. Are there any programs that can speed up my pc? Like optimzing to imporove its effiency? (dont no what im not about but its sounds right :P)
