Yes, because showing normal people would be any kind of news at all? :-/ I mean damn, what do you expect them to do? Show the people protesting and then say "and heres an example of a normal muslim person!"? That would if anything create more anger then anything..... Mario114.... You have respect for the fact that they decide to go out and use fear to try to force there views onto others? Anyone who dissagrees should die....... Standing up for your religion can be done in many ways..... For example, going to those who put the comics in the newspaper in the first place and requestion a retraction..... If this was done all should have been good....... This is no different in essence from A Life of Brian in which they make light of the following of Jesus and his crucifiction...... "Always look on the bright side of life!" Maybe thats what some of these protestors need to do. A comic isn't the end of the world... And considering the reason for not depicting the profet in pictures is to go against people idolising something, I don't really see this picture as defeating that purpose.....

Platty, that's the same protest I saw on the news a lot... I mean damn.... I can't believe some of the stuff they said on there banners...... And like I was saying before, I would be arrested for saying some of the things they were next to an officer.....

To whoever asked, I don't tend to buy anime, although I have some..... I do however buy anime/game models.... ^^;; I don't have TOO many yet, but, this collection will grow.... XD

Well I'm sure that is what it is for some, but, the fact is that the people behind the comic have appologised this does not seem to be enough for those protesting. And someone said in this thread that at one embassy an official came out and appologised (for something he did not have anything to do with) and the protests dispersed.... This says to me that this is exactly what they want... The whole world saying sorry to the muslims of this world out of what is essentially fear.... It has some of the fundamentals of terrorism (obviously without the killing.) It's kind of like how when the war on Iraq was about to get underway many thousands of people of all races/sex/religion took to the streets of London in protest.... The terrorist attacks in London were then carried out on these very same people... My point is that both of these situations have targeted the wrong people in some way.... (Obviously I'm not saying this about muslims as a whole which I must keep pointing out seeing as what I'm saying seems rather generalised as well.) I'm saying that the slightly extremist views of these people who are rushing to the streets are the ones that needs to be more focused.... Aim complaints at specific people...... I'm not going to say aim your terrorism at specific people, because I'm obviously against this. hehe Shino, you have to understand, in many situations comedy is taken too far by what people are ready for... Obviously there is a first time for every comedic situation, but, this was not the right time for this.. Especially with such shody comedic work.... That's why you always hear people talking about the bounderies of comedy.... They are there to be broken, but, the world wasn't ready for this one to be...... That being said, the reaction was, like I said, very overblown. Adding to this protestors have set fire to the danish embassy in Syria...... It's now past being overblown.... v.v

It's actually aimed at what I guess you could call the extremist muslims... The ones who are actually taking this reaction to far.... I'm also guessing many of these people (refering to England specifically) went along just to cause trouble, like when there were the big anti Iraq war protests many went along without having any views on it just because it would be fun to cause problems.... I've got a question, why is it that all of these protests are taking place outside Denmark embassy's? Why must these complaints be targetted at people who have nothing to do with the cartoons? It seems like those protesting wants everyone they can possibly link to the comics to appologise.... Blaiming the whole of Europe (whilst living in Europe themselves which seems odd) for the actions drawings of one person and poor dicisions of those in a couple of newspapers seems odd. :-/

v.v;; I'm looking at it from a English viewpoint... I don't think the comic was a good idea or anything..... BUT, going up and down the street calling out for many peoples deaths, standing outside embassy's firing guns into the air, storming an embassy and god knows what else is not the way to go about showing your distaste for such comics! You know what I find funny, if I was to go up to someone and give them a death threat within range of a police officer I would be arrested... These guys however are allowed to continue such things because people are SCARED it will cause more trouble in the long run! How can you pass off what was in London as a peaceful protest? Because they didn't harm anyone? What did they do though? Call for terrorist attacks, murders, violence...... Not exactly too peaceful. I mean please, someone inform me if I'm wrong, but, was there anything like this scale of protesting when Monty Pythons A Life Of Brian was made? Because that could be seen as so much more offensive then these comics and it's hailed by many as one of the best pieces of comedy ever.... Basically what I am trying to say is, this reaction is WAY over the top. Like I said in my previous post, I don't agree with these cartoons.. They went further then people are ready to accept in the realms of comedy without actually being funny in the first place.. Not really a good combination... Yeah basically, muslims need to calm there reactions to certain things in this world. A drawing printed in a newspaper is not worth a single death like they are proclaiming....... Infact dissagreeing with your religion isn't worth death in general... If they are allowed a faith in one direction then others can have there own in another.. They don't possess the greatest of all religions, it is just another religion that was formed at some point during the lives of humans.. Something created by 1 man/group of men should not be the cause of many deaths.. Oh and one quick thought though...... During the protests in London the guy with the megaphone said something along the lines of "Prophet Mohamed said that those who insult me should die..." 1) Doesn't this go against the whole you should kill thing in Islam? 2) Isn't that a bit odd even if you forget about 1)? I mean telling people to kill in your name is a bit funky for a religious figure...... I'm kinda skepticle about that last thing though..... Ermmmm, wow..... I haven't really been looking into this at all, but, I heard something about this on the radio.... Honestly, the cartoons shouldn't have been made, but, if the reactions to it which have been stated in this thread are true then damn they are going a bit too far with it. :-/ /sigh

Oh I forgot to mention...... I just watched Iriya No Sora, UFO No Natsu and I have to say it was better then I expected when I randomly downloaded it. XD Really is a very story based anime without much action (I guess), but, it's still exciting and keeps you very hooked......... It's especially a good series for people with a slow connection to watch seeing as it's only 6 episodes long... Oh and nows a really good time to get it as a new group has just started subbing it (dunno why o.O) and they have released 5 eps in like 5 days..... So yeah, lots of seeds.

What are these channels you speak of? Oh and I get my anime from tokyolibrary..... (Wonders who will get this. >.<) Also, just so you all know and are prepared, there will be bad news for bleach fans soonish....... We will be faced in the near future with one of 3 possible outcomes........ 1) An ending to the series which doesn't follow the manga.... 2) A long break to the series..... So no more bleach for ages...... 3) This could be the worst of all FILLERS! Yeah this is basically going to happen because the anime is quickly catching up to the manga and I do mean quickly... I'm pretty sure bleach will get fillerised soon so yeah.... We might end up with real Naruto and fake Bleach through this year. XD I personally think there is more potential for filler bleach then naruto though... If they can do the style of episodes the series started with I'll be happy... They didn't really cover TOO much story, but, were still enjoyable. ^^d And someone please remind me about the anime show closer to the 19th. lol I wanna see what they come up with.

It's not really police having the ability to catch the thiefs that's the problem..... Imagine this situation..... A crazy guy gets hold of a invis cloak...... Goes off killing people for fun.... The people who are killed don't see it coming, the people around can't see the guy doing it...... That's bad enough right? Well now you have no witnessess.... That makes it harder to find out who the hell did it in the first place.... Not really much to go on now. :-/ Now considering it's A LOT harder to catch someone now, people won't be as scared of commiting the crime in the first place..... More people go out killing people.... It would get a lot worse... Also people would now be able to sneak in your house behind you.... What kind of messed up stuff could they do in that position? You would no longer feel safe at home or outside.... Chaos would follow........ So yeah, these getting wide spread scared me.

That's some really nice looking cloth. Obviously there are ways everything can be improved, but, I would suggest you go onto another project and try to improve your skills on something else so I'm not going to mention any problems... Hopefully I'll see something new from you. ^^d I'm going to be posting some pics of a character I've got to start making soon so I won't post anything for now.... Thanks. ^^d When using fill path or stroke path? If it's fill path then change the feathering radius........ This can also be well used to make nice shadows (not really used for a traditional anime style) and other such effects. If it's stroke path then it should simulate the lines drawn with the brush tool perfectly...... So set up the brush to look how you want it to and it should be ok. Oh and btw...... If you are doing your own lineart then don't worry about the fact that the lines seem a bit faint at first as this is fixed when you duplicate the layer before you start colouring. Yogi, I think you should try using stronger colours for your picture. Your colouring for sasuke's top is fine, but, the skin shades are a bit off... I suggest you find a picture of sasuke in the same light and use the eyedropper tool to get the basis of your colours for the skin... Keep in mind though that any JPG file you use the colours won't be solid so you might click on a really odd colour.... Just keep looking until you get one that looks right. hehe Once you find something that looks right tweak it a bit to get the perfect colour for your picture. I've got an anime/game model collection going..... Included in that is a rather big RC Donkey Kong that has a GameCube controller thing to control it. hehe This is one of the only things I didn't get for myself. lol

I just watched ep 13 of Mai Otome (yay static subs lol) and I have to say it was quite a nice episode.... ^^d But the end left me like "Don't end now ahhhhhh!" I'm kinda hoping they make another series of this one as well (I know, getting ahead of myself =P) because for some reason I really like both of them. XD
