New details finally! http://gematsu.com/2015/09/monster-hunter-stories-first-details-screenshots The way that the Battle system is described actually reminds me quite a bit of Panzer Dragoon Saga! Which is rad Main boy character looks so much like Billy Hatcher that it hurts (Girl looks like she's been ripped out of Harvest Moon, so she's way cooler by default). This dodgy looking feline is your sidekick character who follows you around. He's your mentor and about 100000 times cooler than you will ever be. She's your she rival, but I swear that she's not Tron Bonne! Really! He's your he rival... apparently :p Well I suppose he does look suspiciously like Zelos from Tales of Symphonia... just with a flatter chest. He's the village chief and thus he will be completely unhelpful and a lover of endless puns, mostly at your expense. This is a normal feline! Slightly less creepy looking than your companion, thank God, if only slightly And some screens! I swear that it's not Pokemon Making good use of his Yokai Watch/V-Watch/Mega Ring here REALLY trying to channel his Billy Hatcher origins here... Prospects for awesome... Pretty dang high!

Goodbye, Coin.

Well their system was much smoother and worked much better than ours (plus the prices were much more sane as well). The European one was still firmly rooted in the ancient Nintendo VIP system that Nintendo UK first introduced... But to be fair, we did get "Club Nintendo" (well, Nintendo VIP :p ) first and we did end up largely getting better rewards than the U.S did in the end (though it still pails in comparison to what Japan got). It wasn't a bad little thing at all (actually was pretty ahead of its time, what with the likes of Disney creating their own sort of similar system) and ended up giving out some great stuff; it was just super duper clunky :p It desperately needed to be scrapped and restarted from scratch though!

Good bloody riddance too! Finally got it all done. Horrible experience that I wouldn't wish upon anyone! Got most of what I wanted. Had to forgo the Captain Toad lamp and the coasters though sadly as the stars budget just couldn't stretch far enough Whatever they replace it with, it can't be any worse! (and the price/reward ratio is insane! You have to buy like 20 games just to be able to afford the Kirby blanket for Christ's sake!! )

Surprisingly positive! (probably the highest score on the internet; you'll be famous for that some day. "S.G.C: The one guy who didn't take a dump on the Devil's Turd" ) Almost enough to tempt me to actually give it a go! (those microtransactions are a huge turnoff though...) Maybe super cheap...

Whelp! No point holding out anymore! Time to start trudging through all my unused stars codes. I've only just gotten through all my digital ones, now I have about 3+ years of physical games to get through... This could take a while... Edit: I still have DS games I haven't done!? Oh dear...

Motohide (producer) Yamazaki (director). Playable at TGS 2015. http://www.famitsu.com/news/201509/01087025.html (shamelessly stolen from GAF :p) Still waiting on The Grand Ace Attorney Capcom... Edit: Aaaannnndddd Western release confirmed! The Grand Ace Attorney though...

And lets not pretend that the 3DS version was exactly consumer friendly either... Still, at least it's where it belongs now

http://www.caveshmups.com YES!!! Cave's shmups are coming to Steam! Edit: Oh wow! http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?p=1128106#p1128106 Even better, the ports are being done by Cave themselves! My 360 is now practically useless. It plays Tales of Vesperia, a few Treasure ports (which will probably come to Steam before long) and that's it :p

Woah! Nice week! All 3 will be mine!
-
Great! I've been in a bit of a Treasure mood recently, so this fits the bill nicely! Will be great to play this one Off TV! (button remapping is much appreciated for this game too, given its unorthodox control scheme) Hope we finally get Mischief Makers and Bangai-O N64 before long! Been wanting those for so long!!

That soundtrack is so utterly rubbish and pointless. Anyone else hate it when they include crappy "sampler" soundtracks which only have like 5-10 tracks from the game? I just don't get why Nintendo don't make their soundtracks easy and accessible for people outside of Japan to buy! Costs a fortune to get them shipped over! Why not at least offer digital versions to buy from their website!?

New interview with Shinen from NWP! http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/interview/41037/interview-with-shinen-about-how-fast-racing-neo-came-together Ooh! I like the sound of that hero mode! Lots of risk and reward at play there where you have to balance between switching phases and keeping your health up!

I didn't think much of Ascension from what little I played of it. GOW1-3 are really great though. Personally I think of them moreso as linear Zelda style games more than DMC style Stylish Action games because they have a much stronger focus on platforming and puzzle solving (particularly the first game) than the likes of DMC.

Well this is cool! http://www.gonintendo.com/stories/241577-shovel-knight-retail-price-increased-due-to-soundtrack-inclusion Looks like the retail version (at least in the U.S.) seems to include the soundtrack!
-
It's the same demo as the one at E3. Nothing new here. Yup. These missions are slower paced and less focused on high intensity action but more focused on stealth and dual screen gameplay - looks a bit dull to watch but is no doubt much more fun to actually play.
-
Dunno what this is, but it seems to be hinting at coming to NX whatever it is... http://ingsoc.org/ According to some people on GAF, it's related to Kojima Productions... Supposedly the site has been up since May and previously had the KojiPro logo... clicking on it would bring you to this twitter account. Could be an elaborate hoax (the Koji Pro logo being used is a bit of a red flag considering that it is owned by Konami), but either way it seems interesting.

EU ad is better than the US one this time Not bad. More interesting than the US version, could've been more comedic though...

The Shovel Knight Amiibo is now up for preorder on Game's site! (I just preordered one, so they should still be available)
-
Yup saw that. Hilarious. They blatantly ignored the tweet I sent them about it too (I wonder if Playtonic will reply to my Yooka-Laylee tweet though...)
-
Flashy! Acrobatic! Useless!
-
Oh wait.... Maybe we've got this backwards... What if the Nintendo Amiibo worked in Shovel Knight? Play as various Nintendo characters! Play as Wii Fit Trainer and bring health and fitness back to the land! Maybe the Amiibo could be used as costume swaps for other various NPCs, like Shield Knight being replaced by Link or Fox replacing one of the mini bosses!
-
I hate you for giving me that idea, now I'm bound to be disappointed too!
-
As long as it's as dodgy looking as the 3D pigs in Paper Mario TTYD... then ALL of my YES!
