  1. Sonic 2 has always been kinda glitchy. Especially the two player mode and anything to do with Super Sonic (he was literally chucked into the game in the last two weeks of development and it shows!) Don't think that there's anything really different other than changing Tales' name to Miles.
  2. The spawning is dependant on how far away the player is from the enemy/object both horizontally and vertically. As soon as you enter the activation area, they spawn/de-spawn. It can make exact timing really tough as it's often very hard to predict how fast or slow different players are going to run through your level; it's also tough to stop players from breaking spawning mechanics in your levels by going backwards or jumping the wrong way. Made my Green Demon level an absolute nightmare to get working right because it completely relied on absolute exact spawn timing. If you want exact timing without relying on autoscrolling, your best bet is to find some way of slowing the player down; either subtly (with tall/tight jumps) or explicitly (walls that open up after a certain amount of time, lifts on tracks, conveyer belts etc).
  3. The special stages are super cool!! They look great in 3D as the rings fly in your face!
  4. It does. In fact, it actually has a special option that boots the game straight into the level select screen
  5. It's Thursday, checks eShop... Aaaaaaaand Bought!
  6. Glad you like em! How did you manage to break W3-4? I can't replicate the bug. Even going back and forth to de-spawn and reset the Koopa Troopa's position doesn't cause a no-win scenario (I knew that after testing it, but I just went back and tried to break it again to no avail). Do be sure to go back and find all the secrets. I really packed a lot into them! (W3-4's name is a hint about some of the secrets that it hides BTW )
  7. Alright!! They're done!!! 12 brand new levels are now up for you to plough through! Rather than link to each and every one of them though (far too much effort) I'll just like you to my first level (W1-1) and you can find my list of levels from there (please play them in order) W1-1: C3E8-0000-003E-C124 In celebration of FINALLY getting my new set of levels out, here's a series of videos that show the officially intended True Speedrunner's Path through W1-2, W1-3 and W1-4. If you can find an even faster way through my levels, then congrats! You are awesome! Like the first set of levels, Worlds 2 to 4 are designed for beginners who are new to Mario as well as veterans looking for a challenge (those three 1ups hidden in each level are not easy to find ) and of course, the most fun of all... Speedrunners!!! There is always an intended True Speedrunner's Path designed into my levels, so see if you can find it and aim for the best time possible! One of my levels also has a hidden warp zone to a future world as well. Can you find it? Rumour has it that there's also an entirely secret world hidden somewhere too...
  8. Heh, of course. They actually make a point about that in this interview too
  9. Right! I know that it has been a long time since I last uploaded a level (think it's been more than 2 weeks! ), but the time is finally near! Lucky you! You are getting Worlds 2, 3 AND 4 all at once! If all goes well and I get the time to give them a final spit and polish, I will be uploading all 12 of my new main levels either tonight or tomorrow morning! Following that, Bonus 3, 4 and 5 will be uploaded either tomorrow or the day after! If you guys like my new levels enough, I may have a special surprise lined up for you pretty soon as well... (let's just say that I do intend on following through to make Worlds 5-8, but I may be handling them a bit differently... ) Although if nobody thinks much of them, then I probably won't bother and I'll just make them my own usual way :p
  10. Speaking of Sonic 2 3D, the accompanying M2 interview is out now! http://blogs.sega.com/2015/10/06/3d-sonic-the-hedgehog-2-included-in-the-sega-3d-classics/ Some choice excerpts... I hope that this isn't the end! I'd love to see them tackle more arcade titles and maybe some earlier 3D games; especially now that they have the New3DS to work with. A 3D version of the original NiGHTS would be amazing!
  11. Well, the Nintendo DLC stages will remain exclusive at least, as will the 2 player mode and the 3DS connectivity features (for what they're worth :p) Legit surprised at this port, did not expect it to happen so suddenly! Anyway, it's a great game that hopefully more people will give a chance. Maybe SEGA will fix the horrible tutorial design this time around and people will actually figure out how to play it properly? One can only hope!
  12. So I take it that this is like what Persona 2: Eternal Punishment was to Persona 2: Innocent Sin? Bit weird that they would go ahead and announce it so long after SMT4 came out, but ok! Hopefully we won't have to wait years for it this time around :p
  13. Yup. Maple is a BEAST! Also, you know, Mini Golf, Speed Golf, Ring Shot, those hilarious animations and DAT SOUNDTRACK! The N64 original is amazing!
  14. Oh no... Don't do this to me NOE... I want to be able to play Mario Golf off TV...
  15. Wow! Now THAT's more like it! After a depressing few weeks, this is much appreciated! The most important question though.... Is Mario Golf 50hz or 60hz?
  16. It's a January release in Europe, it's practically Q4 2015 (and in Australia it IS actually a Q4 2015 release now )
  17. I'd bet on an early summer release in NA/EU (probably May or June). Federation Force will be their big Q1 game and this'll be their big one for Q2.
  18. Well I guess that Xenoblade X isn't replacing Starfox Zero after all... They're gonna have to put some real effort into marketing this one now, because they've done a horrible job so far!
  19. Yeah, the MM levels will be stored on the server if he's uploaded them, so he should be able to just re-download them.
  20. Ahh, so there are minigames in this then! I like the look of the AC quiz. Looks like good fun. I'm always down for a good party style game
  21. Cool. Glad to hear that things worked out nicely. As for that bit you were confused about... What they're saying is that any save data you currently have on the NNID that you're transferring will not be usable on the new Wii U. There's no way to move save data over from one Wii U to another without doing a full system transfer and since the NNID that the save files are associated with is being deleted from the source Wii U system, the save files will too be deleted. So he's gonna have to start over on Mario Kart 8 (and any other games he's played) on his own Wii U.
  22. You know, they say this all the time... Yet somehow they always seem to get round to bringing back series that have suffered dwindling sales. Hell, this is the company that made a sequel to their worst selling game of all time (Sin & Punishment) because they thought that the control scheme alone was a good enough reason (and they were right!) Hell Chibi Robo as a series should rightfully have been canned years ago if sales alone were the real determining factor. It has never been a big seller in any region, not even on the DS. Even if Zip Lash flops, he'll be back again at some point. Maybe not for a long while, when Nintendo are in a healthier position, but he'll come back.
  23. AFAIK there's no way to transfer just the one NNID from one Wii U to another without calling Nintendo. With the System Transfer option you have to transfer absolutely everything from all NNIDs that are on your system. I've heard of people getting single NNID accounts moved after calling Nintendo though.
