To be honest, making the game go from duel screen to one screen wouldnt require that much re-tooling and the game would give NX launch a big kick. I mean, I know the Wii U isn't dead yet but it all-but is dead isn't it, commercially. I'm happy to play Star Fox Zero for whatever console it appears, but from a sheer "lets make our next console a hit" viewpoint, any help from already-made games that havent come out yet would massively help, rather than spread resources even more thinly across 2 or 3 consoles (wii u, 3ds and nx).

To be honest, I love Star Fox and cannot wait for this game but part of me wouldn't mind this and zelda wii u being delayed and transferred over to the NX as launch games. Would make more sense rather than flogging the dead wii u to death this year. I sound miserable there but wouldn't it just make sense?

I'd be up for buying this, although I would be very disappointed if it was a basic hi-rez crappy port. Nice new textures, a more filled out Hyrule and some improved mechanics would make me very happy! Saying that, it's all very out of the blue although makes sense if they're going to bring the new Zelda over to NX...Us fans need something I suppose.

I loved Yoshi's Island on the SNES. such a gorgeous game....This may have to be a day one purchase...although...TOO MANY PLATFORMERS!

Jeez as cool as this looks, they've got platformers galore coming out for wii u...They could have put retro on something a bit more serious and epic, star fox, metroid, zelda, hell even a new IP. Disappointing or what!

In some parts it looks pretty much the same and in other parts it looks stunning, I don't know how i feel about the game but if they can add the missing dungeons, stop those stupid fetch quests and make everything a bit swisher then i suppose it'll do for me. The online element sounds interesting too.

Looks great, some of the footage looks pre-rendered but i can't wait for this after the dullness of 7, wii and DS...Bring it on!

I'm becoming more and more tempted by this. My 3DS has been collecting dust lately but the recent influx of games has my attention peaking again....Luigi, Fire Emblem and now this. Boom, what to buy first?

The original Yoshi's Island was and still is one of my favourite games of all time, cutesy music, stunning art style and just a whole load of fun. I loved how, for a "kids" game it was very tense...Just though thought of losing Baby Mario as the clock ticked was pretty scary in its own way haha. I hope this can be at least half as good.

It's a game that has already been made and they're tailoring it for the 3ds. How is that not a port?

This is a good move, it shouldnt take that many resources to port a game accross to the 3DS really and it frees Retro up to do something worthwhile. Please make a new Starfox game!

This game looks great but i guess "next gen" versions will look sexy while the current gen (wii u ps3, 360) versions will look stripped away and more bare but still pretty compared to most games. My worry is that current gen versions will be a stutter and tear a LOT. But we can hope...

i think that nintendo could with doing the basics right before going gung ho with needless additions and oddities on their controllers and consoles...... Also, they complain about having minimal resources to make enough decent games in time, but last time i heard they have a LOT of money in the bank. They could buy out and fund quite a few more studios to make more games for them at a quicker rate.....They never want to go the full hog with anything, its always half assed...Sort it out!
