  1. 28.95 at thegamecollection http://www.thegamecollection.net/mario-tennis-ultra-smash-wii-u.html They don't always manage an early game, but they have always got games to me by Friday.
  2. That is kind of what I thought as well, but look at this video: Staggeringly, it really does seem as if there is no friend option.
  3. So, despite the awful previews and what appears to be an extreme lack of content, I am still going to get this game for the local tennis multi-player, which I expect to be pretty good. My question is: Is n-europe going to review the game and when would that review be scheduled to be 'up'? Any other tennis based suckers out there? Not that we could play online if we did because you cannot find a friend.
  4. I agree, but in the absence of one I will give the other a try.
  5. It may be worth giving the tax people a call. When I switched jobs I got a similar letter, six months down the line. In my case I think it was because they counted my salary twice in the switchover month. I phoned up(*) and did not even explain anything - they just looked at the case and cancelled the tax without even an explanation. (*). They don't always answer the phone to the public - my company's accountant even said as much - so this can take some time.
  6. Perhaps you shouldn't give the game (Mario Sports Mix) any time - it is very shallow in the sports mini-games it offers, but this really seems like a whole new low. If you (or anyone) are considering getting the game, listen to the video here: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/hands-on-preview/41398/mario-tennis-ultra-smash-wii-u-hands-on-preview It sounds so bare bones its crazy.
  7. No way - there is way more content and modes in mario sports mix than it sounds like there is in this game. (It even has a rendered title screen and everything) I am *this* close to cancelling my pre-order.
  8. I don't need many games to keep me going (little time) but the year end games (with the possible exception of Xenoblade X) do seem to be content light and filler titles (as Kyle Bosman put it). Some are just not aimed at us. As with Glen, I hope this is because they are gearing up for NX games, rather than building mobile games and account systems....
  9. I have donated, but don't worry about playing any of my levels. You have a typo on the page by the way: Good luck on the day by the way!
  10. I have played and completed Ganbare Goemon 1-4 on the SFC and the N64 and DS games. It makes me very sad as well, but I also miss Parodius, Pop N TwinBee, etc. That Konami are dead now though - most of everyone who was talented in those days moved on a long time ago. Speaking of that - what do Treasure do anymore? They seem to have faded into obscurity.
  11. Review embargo seems late for this one. People who have pre-ordered could conceivably get it tomorrow.
  12. How can we get you to star a level though? This code did not work for me, but if you mean the Rocky Wrench' Revenge level, then I have just played it and thought it was a good level. Don't have much constructive feedback. The difficulty level was medium maybe and the level was fun and not frustrating at all. Only slightly odd thing is that the bullet bill star at the start - you kind of have to leave the area and go back in to get it as the space is so confused.
  13. As I said on Miiverse, much more enjoyable now. : peace: As for the other one, I think I took two lives.
  14. Not mine but: Airship theme Middle mast looks like a mushroom in the background. Horizontal beams are std platform blocks Ropes - take the item that is a thin platform (minimum size 3by3) that you can jump up through and shake them once or twice to change the style to ropes. (Each level style has three variants of these).
  15. No. That would have helped - did not realise it was there. After a while I figured out the fire flower and that made the rest of the level more doable. I found that bomb section at the start a bit finicky to do in a relatively enclosed space and so just a mushroom would help there I think. Arrow hint down the feather pipe? Quite easy to just ignore that section.
  16. I HATE this level.... (Sorry) I spent a silly number of lives just on the first bomb room and it is ages until you can get a power up which you really need. Grrrrr
  17. Does that logo definitely mean online play? It could be miiverse comments. After all New Super Mario Brothers Wii U also had it....
  18. Thanks for the update. The descriptions of the health regaining/shield stuff seem complicated/difficult to me from other previews I have read.
  19. Fast Racing Neo could go on the TBA list could it not?
  20. Not the sort of game that lends itself well to demos, I would presume. Did you you see any of the world? Was it the combat that was confusing?
  21. Is this out - or do you have review copies?
  22. One for Star Trek TNG Fans: You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse Hope you like it. Took a long time to make.
  23. I have played a lot of levels and I think there are two rewards structures that really work well in the game. The first is just touching a spot and having it play a sound effect or kick of some other visual event. Of course you have to know you are looking for it, but some people put miiverse comments in their own stage to help you realise. I believe that @RedShell does this with the smiley face for each level. The second is to make a hard level with sparse power ups available. Actually exploring and finding a better power up (fire flower instead of the mushroom you might normally get for example) can give a palpable sense of satisfaction/relief if the level is difficult enough. Also, I would just add that playing the speed run challenge on this forum helped me appreciate some of the finer details in levels I had missed when I first played the levels before the competition. Trying to get through the levels as quickly as possible helped my motivation to explore as well.
  24. Yes, but something is up: Mario Maker RRP 40 GBP (presumed). Nintendo Store Price - 40 GBP Amazon/Shopto/gamecollection price ~35 GBP. Xenoblade RRP 50 GBP (presumed). Nintendo Store Price - 50 GBP Amazon/Shopto/gamecollection price ~35 GBP. I guess it could be that Mario Maker is just not that discounted because they feel they do not need to. YWW tends to be 32-35 as well though.
