  1. Mine is here, from the Nintendo store. I have found the surprise as well. Thanks for the heads up @VsPhoenix
  2. My Nintendo Store order is out for delivery, (from Borehamwood close by) at the moment I am afraid. (it still has the estimate of 12th September though)
  3. Yeah, sorry if that came off a bit snarky. Was meant in jest. Cheers for the feedback - my very first N-E thread.
  4. No post game content but you unlock a weapon or gear or something. If you think it is frustrating now, the Amiibo challenges have you facing off against him with a sniper or a roller! I have managed the sniper but the roller is very hard.
  5. Yep indeed. The man can yak for Britain generally, but at least he has usually played the game in question. He had not even played this! EDIT: Doesn't @Dcubed get a bit narked about always being the one to have to buy the game?
  6. Couldn't agree more with Rummy. Three player RB's are just death, over and over again. When I play two (or 4 even, on occasion) my win ratio is 70%ish, but when I play as a 3 player team I tend to lose every time. Even when actually fighting a 3, they are so rare that they tend to be 2-3 levels of ranking higher than me.
  7. Yes! The online options are quite good (for a Nintendo game). You can either play publicly where anyone can join the game (if you and a mate both join the same game at the same time there is a pretty good chance you will go in the same game) or you can start a private lobby game with a code, wait for all of your mates to join in and then turn the game public, allowing others to join. (Mario Kart - take note.) EDIT: I think Gui would probably have explained that is Greg had not jumped in at every opportunity.
  8. Just found out - is anyone does get it - the game wants to be on internal storage, there are some frame rate issues when run from the external HD.
  9. That trailer is sweet. Spoilery for some I would imagine but it has an unexpected section when the level changes that is excellent!
  10. Amiibo and t shirt version. Annoyingly I can't play it tomorrow anyway as I am out.
  11. I have the 'we have sent it' email, so tomorrow looks good. (Edit: also Nintendo Store) Wonder if anyone will get it today....
  12. Yeah, I mostly got it for online play, so I have not even really tried the single player. Online play is very good, but you do need to have a Skype call going at the time with some of you to get the full enjoyment. As it is pretty simple I have been trying to get others that would not normally play many games in as well - with some success - but the Smash style double jump with punch uppercut is proving a steep learning curve. Also - totally the wrong time for it to come out. Just finished Yoshi and then Mario Maker is coming. If it was not for the online I don't think I would have given it a look in.
  13. I had heard of the good things said about the Nintendo Store so I decided to go with them after my last three GameCollection orders came on Friday or Saturday. Because I have made this decision, I (and by extension you) will get the game on Friday, whereas I am sure that everyone with GameCollection orders will get theirs early.
  14. RUNBOW This game came out last Thursday and after some positive impressions on IGN NVC and RFN I thought I would take a punt and it is a very good game. But first, some details: Trailers: Screnshots: Reviews: Destructoid 9/10 NWR 9/10 ShackNews 9/10 NintendoLife 9/10 The game itself is pretty simple. It is a 2D platforming running race, with the first to the goal the winner. It has controls a bit like Smash Brothers and Power ups a bit like Mario Kart. During the game the background changes colour every few seconds and if the platform your character is on is the same colour you will fall through. The game supports up to 9 players, locally or online and up to four players can go online from the same console. The main action of the game is the running platformer game, but there are also arena fighting and a king of the hill style game. The developers have also done a deal with other indy devs and so there are characters in the game from most of the recent indy games that have had a Wii U version. (Including Shovel Knight, Scram Kitty, Mutant Mudds, etc.) It is a blast in the multi-player online or locally and it only costs 10.99. If you have a Wii U and someone else to play with on or offline this is defeinitely worth a punt! Finally, the music is excellent. I can only describe it as 'caper' music but it fits the running very well. Anyway, what do people think? Anyone else got it? If you are a Wii U only gamer then a new online experience is surely a tempting proposal?
  15. For better or worse I think they are (still) trying to chase the audience that won't learn rather than those that will. I think ultimately the games with more restricted camera control, whilst that can be annoying, are still enjoyable to me, so I think I am with nando.
  16. Also - should add runbow to that list. Some excellent multi-player/online stuff there. Keep meaning to start a thread, but don't have the time.

On the 3DS - nothing but picross!

    Yourself?

  17. Cheers - didn't actually watch the videos though. They were at least quite well signposted.
  18. When the game is released, can you guys (@RedShell @Mike) tell us what was and was not embargoed in the reviews? I had assumed it was the costume unlocks, but there seem to be plenty of videos with all of them around (or at least the title claims it is). Nintendo seems to let most of the game out of the bag these days so I was just interested to know what is sacred.
  19. Yep. I also concur with these sentiments. Found the online a bit buggy, but when you actually play the game it has such a good one more go feeling.
  20. Just completed the last world on this. Generally a very enjoyable game but....
  21. Has the usual press release happened? Interested in the digital price of Mario Maker.
  22. Why no videos of the levels you must have made @RedShell?
  23. Good to see you back on the boards yourself.

Splatoon and Yoshis Wooly World at the moment. Trying to complet it 100% before Mario Maker. Getting close.

  24. Slightly worried that there is no Xenoblade X on that list. I realise they would have to have a German version for the show (probably) but if the game really is coming in December that must at least be available in some form, surely.
  25. Yeah I know but they seem precious somehow? Only got a few being on the losing side on the splatfest.
