Even the standard version is 50 quid on the Nintendo store - that was the same amount I paid for Mario Maker and Yoshi with the Amiibo. I guess they need to recoup the higher translation costs. Anyway, I have preordered with the game collection for 35 quid, so its all good.

I think I have played most of them, but not for speed running purposes. If I play them tonight is that too late? Edit: Just read the rules, looks good. I will try and do some tonight and suggest one of my courses.

I completed it last night. Excellent level as usual, but I probably missed various who references. Not quite as hard as some of your others, so the need for the check point was not so acute.

Just wanted to say - the general quality of levels from N-E'ers is a lot better than the levels in the 100 Mario Challenge. To anyone that has bought the game mainly to play levels - look at these. I am slowly getting through the levels but you guys are producing them faster than I can play them! Also, @James McGeachie I feel your pain - enough people seem to play my levels but are a bit stingy when it comes to giving out stars.

No one has mentioned online in the previews or impressions pieces and so I naturally assume, because it is Nintendo, that it won't. I would love to be surprised. Personally, a 1 player game where you have to lug about 2 statues/drones or a 3 player game that I will never have enough people to play with, is not very appealing.

I meant more that each year for the Wii U it feels like they have promised and then delayed a christmas game. I am thinking Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Zelda, and now this. EDIT: Also Captain Toad?

Has to be said that as a Japanese company Nintendo do love to ignore how important the Thanksgiving/Christmas period is for other territories. How do they keep missing Nov/Dec deadlines? Feels like it has happened every year of the Wii U since launch.

Assuming they are actually going to use the time, I am very glad. For the first time in ages I was going to wait and see what the reviews were like for the game as initial impressions have been mixed. Here's hoping for online dog fighting to be added. (Sticks fingers in ear so can't here people say its not going to happen) EDIT: Mario Tennis - that also needs online.

You know, I had to really think about that and I suppose that they do all have that sort of thing. It was not intentional at the time (the slow scrolling up is my excuse). I assure you that you level placed my game pad in equal danger. Edit: Thanks for playing the levels. The next one will be frustrating in a different way.

Just saw this was for my comment - glad you enjoyed it.

To be honest I cheated a bit at that level. I could only do the jump you refer to about 50% of the time, so I downloaded the level, skipped that part and perfected the rest of the level. Then I simply played from the start until I got my first success on that jump and finished the level.

I beat it, but it's not that easy with the twist move. The second jump after the mushrooms is what got me each time. Then the jumps at the end are mean, but doable with the spin move.

I have not even played that mode - I think the description on the title screen put me off even starting.

This ones pretty hard, you get a choice of two mushrooms 3BF2-0000-0019-3038 Had a miiverse comment suggesting that the last part is unfair, but you don't need to bounce of a boom a as they suggested.
