i dont really 'believe' any of these rumors on 1st inspection. its when u get multiple insiders say very similiar things it gets exciting. and if u go in2 saruwatari-wii.blogspot.com and go in2 the comments under the 'prices' headline he seems to think that boredtraveler from moz la punk has some, if only very little, information.

ok ok i know that a lot of people hate rumors and speculation (as well as a million different threads for each one), and i also know that chances are this thread could be locked. but it seems to me that some people out there WANT to speculate, and after all, forums are by deffinition an open discussion. i believe that they should be able to do so and do so on a thread where they are not gunna get flamed for the opinions. so i figure if we are going to discuss these rumors, how about we just do it all in one place? The main reason for opening this thread is of course the fact the nintendo Wii is not yet fully revealed. there are secrets left to discover and there is no doubt about that. the only real difference I'm seeing on the boards is that some members believe it will be a huge secret that will make the Wiimote's revolutionary aspects look tiny in comparison. While others believe its just a tiny secret that will be fun, yet not really 'revolutionary'. yeah i dunno if its true. but i do like what he is saying. but then i have been racking my brain trying to get this crazy puzzel of nintendos figured out and in doing so i have been to alot of blogs. i think we need a thread for definative speculation untill the Wii is fully shown. and allthough it may not be 3d projection (still holding a glimpse of hope) i still think its gunna be big. there r just to many 'coincidences' involving nintendo here.

ha wii... i still reckon that name will take a while for the 'average' consumer to get used to. but once they play it they will for forget, just like how we have all forgotten by living vacariously through downloadable videos.

did ps3 say they were launching worldwide on the 17th of nov right? does that mean everywhere? even us here in poor australia? all i hope is nintendo of australia get their act together and get the wii out b4 the ps3. nintendo is not looked upon well in these parts. but i can only hope wii will change that.

i dont live in a sense of false hope. i am simply looking at the details. do u realise that the hollywood chip isnt even finished as well as the fact they have spent near 5 years building it? you dont spend five years and only god knows how much money investing in development only to achieve a minor upgrade. and the reason i said what i said bout matt cassamina is he seems like an alright guy, but someone who should be helping promote a system should not be constantly refering to the bad points at any chance available. what about the record braking lines at E3? what about the fact the people lined up for 4 hours and still walked away from the wii with a smile on their face? just give nintendo and their 3rd parties time is what im saying. the judgments being past here should not be applicable to a unfinished and still semi-secret console.

thats the one thing i have alway liked about nintendo. instead of simply geting a hollow box and just simply shoving in mass amounts of ram and CPU and other high-priced specs, they actually craft the technology so that its easy, cheap, and efficent. and is it just me, or is matt cassamina like a sony and ms secret agent who secretly hates nintendo and wants them to fail miserably?

well yeah but you shouldnt think nintendo are that foolish. they will even the playing field. like i mean samus 'screw attack' doesnt really have that great a distance if ur trying to get back onto the stage. but what if zero suit samus, being lighter, can therefor jump futher? i mean thats just one example of how they may program her moves.

you know the more i think about it the more i think that Wii will be a success. when i was 4 my dad bought me a nes. and everyday after work he would come home and he would play mario bros with me. unfortunately this was the only game he ever played with me coz then my parents split bout a year after. playing nintendo with my father r some of the best memories i have of being a child (lol pretty sad i know). anyway my point being that I showed my father the fishing video and even he is excited bout playing it! something i guarantee sony or microsoft couldnt do. nintendo has actually gotten a 52 year old excited about playing games. bravo nintendo, bravo

ummmm quick question guys. i have been looking at some pics of the wiimote and something struck me as slightly odd. why is there a big black infra red cover on the front of the wiimote if it uses bluetooth? and im sure they wouldnt put it there just to make it 'look' more like a remote, would they?

this deffinately sounds like and awesome idea. never having even played any online games this sorta thing is perfect 4 me coz i have no previous experience with headsets or any of that. i do have an xbox which i could set up to go online but to be honest with you its just to much hassel and money and im lazy. this is like BAM! as soon as the console is set up ur ready to go (as long as u have ur wifi is connected)

hey guys i was just pondering and wondering if anyone could answer this question. i just got broadband and i want to connect my ds 2 the net, but i dont have any money to buy a dongle or a wireless router plus i only have mario kart so im not in the biggest rush to get 1 but i do plan on saving for a Wii. now the reason i state this is if u have a lan network setup between ur Wii and computer via usb, could u then, with the ds connectivity, connect the ds to wifi through the Wii? hope that not to complicated

i dont know, it still could b, i mean i reckon i can hear my mobile from almsot anywhere in my house (my house isnt huge but its not small). and if the speaker on the wiimote is loud enough i reckon u could easily hear it. and as long as your within 10m of ur wii then it should work. i dont have a home phone but i know for sure that the non-cordless ones dont have a wire that stretches 10m. so your still getting pretty good distance and moveablitiy. if this is true that is
