  2. Downloaded Golf Story. Great game. Put about 18 hours into it and am now on the last championship match (at least I think it’s the last). The vast majority of the game has been a breeze, but now the last match requires such a precision level, luck with the direction of the wind, and general nuance that has left me pulling my hair out. I’ll take a break and come back to it in a day or two. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  3. I second the death reanimating feature. It sounds so cool, like in Zombi U, but in practice it unfairly punishes you for dying in a difficult area. However, I played this on Steam and no performance issues were to be seen at all. Maybe it’s a Switch thing??? The core game is great, but I preferred Tiny Barbarian DX Over this, for retro inspired 2D action platformer a that have been recently released. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  4. Play with gravity and turn your platforming world upside down!
  5. Try Nintendo: Review. Good game, but a little too similar to Metroid and brings little new to the table except aesthetic changes and a little more run and fun elements. Good not awesome. If you like Metroid it’s a no brainer. http://nintendoreview.co.uk/ Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
  6. I'm playing through The Mummy Demastered on Steam beta at the moment for review, and if anyone liked the WayForward Aliens Infestation on DS or Super Metroid (SNES) then you'll love this. The 2D sprites/animation and layered backgrounds are gorgeous, the music is quintessentially 80/90s movie fare in a 16-bit chiptune style, the gameplay is slightly more run and gun than Metroid, but the exploration, map, upgrade system are near identical. A great game, that I'm thoroughly enjoying, yet not loving. But, I've said my piece about Super Metroid not clicking with me before. Too much backtracking. And, The Mummy Demastered adds more backtracking into its death routine. This game will have something extra on that Switch screen, too. Recommended for those who prefer the 2D sprites to the recently polygonal Samus Returns.

  10. Hold the button until it beeps and it saves the previous 30 seconds. So, if something cool happens, you can get it easily.
  11. No objections here.
  12. Highly regarded game.
  13. Crack some skulls, and be the Bat!
  14. I've got a brand new combine harvester!
  15. 2D platformer
  16. Just when you've given up hope, bam, they give us the goods. Nice additions for the system.
  17. This looks to have been delayed. More information should be on its way soon, as 2K states that it's still coming this year. Will change the date when it's known.
  18. Advance Wars clone, published by Unties (a Sony subsidiary company).
  19. Doom thrusts you into increasingly dire first-person scenarios fueled by rage and the spirit of heavy metal.
  20. Brilliant. And, that Pilotwings Resort picture just shows me how beautiful that game was (and on 3DS!). I want to go back and play it again now (Switch version please).
  21. I voted YES, but with caveats. Golf Story's use is by far the best I've felt so far. All the other uses have been far too subtle. And I've noticed a difference between the HD rumble in the Joy-Cons and the Pro-Controller. With the Joy-Cons it's easier to feel those subtle changes, especially when split in each hand. The pro-contoller struggles to pick up all those subtle variations and differentiations. Good, but I need more proof of its versatility.
  22. After a lot of ummming and aaahhhing about what game to pick up next, I was torn between 4. Didn't want to play another 2D platformer so close to Tiny Barbarian and Shovel Knight, so it was either Oxenfree, Thimbleweed Park, Golf Story, or Wulverblade. I chose Golf Story, and an hour in, and I'm not disappointed, great golf mechanic, you can hit anybody with a golf ball, and great dialogue.
  23. Having bought all that Rare produced during the N64 era, this was a no-brainer. The magazines of the time made it look a very exciting prospect to delve into, too. And, I wasn't disappointed. I can't remember any of the finer details of the game itself. I couldn't tell you the control scheme, and whether it gelled with me, but it must have, because all my memories of it are positive. I know I finished the game, but don't remember any of the bosses. I just have a sense of nostalgic enjoyment about this one. Just like @Kaepora_Gaebora I'd show a lot of trepidation about replaying this one, but with little memory of it, if ever a Rare replay came up on the Switch (go on Microsoft) I'd be up for it.
  24. Rhythm game already released on the PS4.
