  1. the pope shouldnt of made them comments. it was wrong and totally untrue! if he was talking about violence and religion why did he not mention the crusades? what about the spanish inquisition or how the catholic church ignored the plight of the jews from the Nazi's? why did he just mention Islam? Bard why did you leave Islam? makes me feel sad that you left the religion! oh and i suggest everyone to read a book called 'the spread of islam' by T.J. Arnold. you will see that it is myth that Islam was spread by the sword! also can i please clarify that muslims are not trying the change the laws in UK/Europe to sharia! yes we have our own values and we don't support secular laws etc it doesnt mean we are on some crazy crusade to change the goverment etc.
  2. its the software issue that people are bothered about. nintendo europe have not got a good track record! personally i stuck between US machine and Japanese. US would be good for RPG's but i know for a fact the Japanese Wii will have some crazy wacky games which won't get released in the west. Here is hoping we get a switch like we got on the GC so you can switch between US and JPN.
  3. pretty sure the US Wii will be locked. NOA representive just screwed up!!
  4. i am importing no matter what now. if it means i have to wait a few weeks because stock shortage so be it. no way am i buying a locked pal machine.
  5. not sure but online puchasing with credit/debit card won't be a problem.
  6. as i already have JPN gamecube i not got to worry about power supply. all i got to worry about is getting a US or JPN machine on release day. they give you the choice of both when ordering games. i would be more worried about having a pal machine mate to be honest. US and JPN games are cheaper and are released more quickly. so if 3rd party game are region locked i am not gonna be bothered.
  7. internet will work fine!!
  8. thats why i said if it is not region free!
  9. if it is not region free than a pal machine is madness!! more expensive and huge delays on software.. No thanks!!
  10. i don't think you will get import taxes on the Wii. i avoided them on my DS lite and slimline PS2. if you can find an American Wii at £132 than that is probably the best deal..
  11. Japanese version of Wii Sports will be £35 max so even if you got that with the Japanese Wii your still only paying less than £150
  12. i am not sure where the best place is for a US Wii but get the Japanese Wii from http://www.play-asia.com. you can pay in pounds so no worries there. the only problem is that play-asia or lik-sang.com are not listing the price yet. although the official price is £112, it may be higher due to low stock. the first few weeks maybe like the DS Lite so real hard to get one.
  13. it is region-free like nintendo say then i will get pal machine. if not then japanese Wii for me..
  14. No DVD playback but who cares?? think nintendo were 100% right to get rid of it!!
  15. do you think Nintendo will put in the language change like they have on the DS.
  16. after seeing all the muiltimedia vids i think i am gonna get a US wii and a Japanese one afterwards. the vids are quality!!

  20. dark cloud i so jealous! i really need to visit japan as I am a huge japanese pro-wrestling fan! You need to go and check out some pro-wrestling or MMA while you in Japan. go check Korakuen Hall in tokyo man! they have pro-wrestling or MMA near enough every day of the week.
  21. Does anybody think we are gonna see a clash of civilisations? I think since the collapse of Communism, Islam is now the biggest threat to capitalism I think the west is dead afraid of seeing what will happen once there propped up dictators and tyrants are removed.
  22. as you can guess from my name, i am a muslim. I reverted 4 years ago and i love my religion. I looked at christianity but it just confused me. with Islam everything made sense. The whole trinity issue is something i couldnt understand while looking at christianity too be honest. lots of people say religion is the cause of war but i don't think that is true. if we look at the last major wars over the last 100 years we see that all these leaders were secular. I dunno about the other religions but Islam accepts that sometimes you need war to achieve peace. obviously islam has laws on how wars should be fought and innocent lives should not be targeted etc.
  23. I have had the japanese version (Ryu Ga Gotoku) for a long while now and it is a good game but can get damn annoying. too many random fights makes you just wanna smash the pad up. i really have to get back on the game and finish it off though..
  24. most brand new asian 360 games are £22 on play-asia. that is damn cheap!!
  25. anybody know where i can get a japanese/asian xbox 360 for under £200 based in the UK. i refuse to pay £50 for new games so a Pal machine is not on the agenda. Thanks.
