Yeah I'm not even going to bother with that one Maase, except the fact that Halo 3 brought alot more to the table than Metroid did.

It's not a really a puzzle game in the usual sense of the word. It does make you think but the core game play is the platforming and time reversal. And their problem with Strong Bad is they didn't like it. Basically they say its short on interaction and although it picks up around the middle of the episode they question whether people would actually want to spend time loafing in the HR universe or rather just go on via their web browser.

Yeah a normal keyboard can only be used for typing text, it can't be used for anything else.

Luke's uncle and aunt were Shimi's husband's (remember she re-married in between Ep I & 2) son and daugher-in-law. Also Darth Plagueis as well as wanting to become immortal and prevent death also supposedly dabbled in creating life from nothing. Of course I don't think there is anything in the EU that definitely says it but it wouldn't be a stretch to think that Plagueis experimentation did indeed work and Anakin was the product of that. Ironic considering the reason Sidious killed Plaguesis was because he feared Plaguesis was going to create a new apprentice and replace him when in fact Sidious made Anakin his apprentice.

Braid. EDGE gave it a 9. Anyway the review is actually really good and seems fair to me as it certainly heaps praise for the animation of Wario and some of the level's design. However they say it falls short by reusing the same tedious mechanics while the actual good ideas are used sparely. One such example was the three submarine sections while the tilt controlled space ship was used only once and only for a minute at that. They also commented on the reward system being shambolic, and they wonder what happened to Twisted's rewards for pretty much everything. The last paragraph does sum it nicely (at least for me); "Shake is at it's best when emulating the obnoxiousness and buffoonery of its hero. That it occasionally bows to his stupidity is an unexpected disappointment."

EDGE gave this a 6. I've not got the magazine yet, should come tomorrow but I'm quite disappointed this didn't score higher. I'll post up the general gist of the review when I get it.

Yes, exactly the same. Though I get the occasional ache for her, it doesn't help one of my friends has started to see her. Though I am kinda over her I can't really see to move on, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the help guys, I've taken everything onboard. I've updated my CV and now it is on 2 pages however it only fils half the 2nd page and apart from increasing the size of the text (which I won't do) I can't think of what else to put in. Sorry Dan and Charlie if it looks I've just lifted straight from yours, I really am struggling and it needs to get done tonight.

I won't be going to Uni until the 2009-10 semester so I don't think I would have to lie, they would be getting me for about a year.
-
Yeah that would be great, either send it to [email protected] or if you just meant PM then... PM me. By personal statement do mean like why I would like to work there and what I want to achieve etc?

Thanks for that site Dante, although it self wasn't that useful it had some really good links that helped me out a bit. Right heres me first attempt, obviously the black rectangle won't be in the final version. It's just covering all my personal stuff. It's only one page but I'm not really sure if thats enough. To be honest I don't really like the whole 'Intrests' stuff etc but then again if thats what employers want I can't really not have it in.

I've been thinking about getting a job for ages but now it has really dawned upon me just how much I need the money. And then of course I came too my first hurdle, creating a CV that didn't suck. Now I have done a few CV's but they were in school and they didn't seem very pro. So I was wondering if you guys have any hints and tips or even a template of sorts that you stick when creating yours. Just in case anybody is wondering I'm going to be applying at Halfords as there was three people that quit the Bikehut section and they are looking for jobs. Anybody here worked in Halfords by any chance?

Just to prove the current drinking theory, the one that says people are making it up when they type as they are drunk. I've went out 3 nights in row drinking with eh lads but (Hopefully) as you can see my writing isn't all over the place unlike a certain hoover.

Sigh, I wish I had been quicker than one month would of been nice. Silver is just a tad boring.
-
Yeah it really does. Actually I may of just convinced myself that the 4850 is probably the best card to get at the moment as its on eBuyer for only £108. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146428 So would I need a 400w PSU or something higher?
-
Yep, I'm needing to buy a card and hopefully you guys will help me. Basically it needs to be less than £100 (the cheaper the better) as well as a good PSU to go with it. My specs at the moment are Intel E4500 at 2.20GHz, 2GB of memory and I believe its a 300W PSU but I'm not sure. Basically its a Dell so I'm guessing it will be the bare minimum they could of gotten away so thats why I'm needing to get a new one. I just really want a really good value bang for buck card now I know the 4850 is getting amazing reviews and is the best mid-range card ever but its about £110+ (afaik) and then the cost of the PSU so unless it really is the best option I was hoping to spend a bit less. I was thinking maybe the 8800GT or the 9600GT but it would help just to hear your thoughts.

Who else got their Highers today? (I'm looking at you Paj and Chair) I'm really really really pleased with mine, I think I could get into quite a few courses but I'm gonna stay for a 6th for the lols and physics. I got: Computing A Geography A Information Systems A English B Maths B I want to drop Advanced Maths now but I don't know, its another year of maths but I know it would (probably) be helpful. Argh decisions...
