  1. Grace is my favourite album of all time, never fails to send me into a reflective reverie where everything is bittersweet and beautiful.
  2. Cannot get this absolute gem of a track out of my head today, some of the most inventive guitarplay I have ever heard in my life, beautifully layered, exquisitely constructed, just wow.
  3. If this is the case, and Origin isn't going to serve as a sort of platfrom with its own organisation of friends lists, servers and an anticheat security for example, why is it that EA are going to such lengths to remove some of their recent blockbusters from the Steam service? I'm assuming this is the case, although another explanation I can think of is that the Origin service is integrated into each game individually, and there doens't need to be a launcher open for you to access all your friend data etc.
  4. You do realise Simon Pegg is perfect to play you right?
  5. Sweet, now we finally get to see what kind of specimen is capable of putting up with ReZ on a daily basis . I kid thee, welcome.
  6. Nah, the original was also released for the awesome price of £19.99
  7. Yeah totally, but I don't think the events surrounding the promotion of this game are the right battlefield (trollolol) for the dispute between the sane and the online assholes to take place. They've had to make the uncomfortable decision between finding a way to accomodate those that they assume will be marginalised, and who they deem their core audience will be.
  8. Look, there are certain situations in which everyone that exists will find themselves marginalised for whatever reason. Picking a bone with possibly the most reactionary, insane demographic in the world (teenage male gamers from southern USA), is nothing more than you looking for a stimulus for your own reactionary inclinations. From what I can tell, they are doing it to protect chicks from being hit on/ picked on, that doesn't excuse the core audience for this game from being idiots, but shit is what it is.
  9. You're complaining that in a game where you take down skyscrapers with rocket launchers, the weapons don't realistically jam? And after that trying to proposition/ insinuate that this is some sort of nationalist propaganda? You are a silly silly person. But I sort of agree that the whole female exclusion thing is absurd, but I have no idea about the Texan demographic, just the fact that every single american gamer with a southern accent I've come across online has be an intolerant, beliggerant asshole.
  10. Shame, she had a pretty sexy voice. Never got into anything she wrote though.
  11. Cute girl count has gone up by 1.
  12. It's mostly early 90's east coast rap constantly stuck in my head these days, to the point that when I wake up in the morning sometimes my first thoughts are often song lyrics These songs especially:
  13. It's kinda a guilty good feeling when you have two attractive and good friends (with each other) fighting each other over you on a boat party. So, this girl that I'd seen around at parties etc. but had never been introduced to properly was part of our little group heading for the ridiculous piss up on a boat that we called a graduation party, and started hitting on me after we got some drinks in us. This is she:
  14. I actually quite liked the game, had a lot more fun with it than pretty much any other shooter on the Wii, but I gotta say, the Wiimote controls were pretty weak considering. I mean there was some level of customisability, but there was nothing that stood out as perfect for me. I thought Metroid 3 had a pretty perfect Wiimote control scheme, but that might be because that game didn't really requite a huge level of precision/ wasn't actually a shooter. The classic controller took a little while to get used to, but the aim assist compensated for a lot of the physical controllers jankyness, and besides, I didn't play it to get a mechanically great shooter experience so much as I played it cause it was Goldeneye, and for what its worth, it did a good job of capturing some of the atmospehere of the original game, but then also did a lot of huge blown out set pieces that wouldn't have been out of place in a Call of Duty or something. I would give this ting a look if it comes out at a discounted price. Maybe £29.99
  15. The Wii one was a bit poo, pretty much entirely because of the awful dead zones on the Classic Controller analogue sticks. Also, it was an online multiplayer game on a Nintendo console, which is just a combination that begs failure.
  16. Yeah, I'm having one of those days where I'm trying to remember if I did anything heinously embarrassing. Other than play with Flinks nipples. It was hot.
  17. Eddage and I were talking about a possible future Alton Towers trip, although I was under the impression that the theme parks closed after the summer. We should find out the opening times/ dates and sort it out!
  18. Had a grand old time last night, was good seeing you lot again, along with some new faces, and thanks especially to Daft for being accomodating enough to let my drunken ass stay over for the night and watch Terminator 2 . Awfully hungover right now though.
  19. Guys, there's no way Hyde Park is happening in this weather.
  20. Oh shit yeah, I forgot, can I get one of your numbers?
  21. Yeah whatever, I just had some beechams, I'm fine. I'll come.
  22. Er, mate, I live in Stockport and I find this comment to be...entirely verifiable.
  23. Mates I might have to bail, not feeling so good. Miss me.
  24. I don't think contrivance is a valid complaint for a series who's major characters have names consisting of latin puns. Edit: or whatever
  25. New ICTS is truly incredible. I WAS SIIIIIITING AT THE BAAAAR!
