  1. I've read some reviews...apparently it is a negative that the game is different to the original.

I think this is a great thing! I'm really enjoying it and loving the fact the overall it is the same story but at the same time being a completely different game.

In my view, this means a remake is completely worth it. The original will always exist and will remain the fantastic game it is in its own right. Because, the remake is so different, both it and the original can exist comfortably side-by-side.

The game is a retelling of the story rather than just the same game with a few little extra with nice graphics.

  2. Received my copy from Shopto!

I was playing through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but will shelve it temporarily (loving it though).

I remember first completing FFVII in the late 90s on my brothers PS1 and wishing that a remake would be carried out before remakes and remasters became a thing with videogames.

FFVII is up there as one of my favourite games and my first RPG. It's a bit surreal playing its remake.

I've not yet started it. Took ages to install but now just spent the last 10 mins listening to the title screen. The nostalgia!

  3. @Cube to be on furlough is not a right for employees to exercise but rather an option for an employer to pursue in order to avoid redundancies.

Therefore, the employer could commence the redundancy process should it wish to do so. This is despite, the availability of the government scheme.

However, those who have over 2 years service with their employer currently have the right to bring a claim for unfair dismissal. Should she be made redundant rather than furloughed then there is an argument that the dismissal would be unfair.

Can someone explain, in simple terms, how the 80% wage thing works? I mean, I know the government are doing it but what I mean to ask is are small businesses eligible for this? Would I get it even though I'm working for a small business?

Staff on PAYE will be eligible. So yes, small businesses are eligible.

The process is called "furlough", a new term, borrowed from the US. It is a form of temporary lay off whereby the state will pay or contribute to the wages of it's citizens.

In our case that is up to 80% of wages subject to a cap of £2500.

You will not be at work or carrying out any work whilst on furlough. It is also subject to your agreement (you do not have to agree to it) but you do not have the right to furlough.

You will be contracted to receive your full wage but your employer, if they decide to furlough you may ask you to take a 20% pay cut i.e say they cannot top up the government's 80%.

If you do not accept this then the risk is that your employer may begin the redundancy process.

  5. What a time to be a Blade at the moment! My focus is keeping out of the bottom three but there is a wandering eye looking at the top half of the table. From League 1 to the slim possibility of Europe does seem surreal at the moment.

All will fall apart during the month of death in January when the likelihood is that we lose 5 on the trot.

Hail to Sir Chris Wilder. UTB.

I got a bunch of Ditto earlier and have got a couple of fire starter eggs. I'll send one your way if you want or you can wait for Glen on Thursday.

That would be great! When are you free?

OK, @Blade, your starters are ready. But you don't seem to be playing Pokémon at the moment.

I can only wait until around 6 before I'll be offline until Thursday, so you'll need to peg it.

Noooooooo. I didn't see the notification. Okay for Thursday? I don't get in from work until after 6. So anytime after then will be good for me!

@Ugh first aid got a Ditto!

She caught it with a Great Ball, I use an Ultra Ball and it escapes. Which is bloody typical.

Which means we can breed all the starters for @S.C.G (and anyone else) now.

So if anyone wants the starters they don't have this evening, give me a shout of which ones you want, and I'll get you an egg of them.

I would like the fire and water starter if any of those are going. I do not really have much to offer at the moment though as i've just reached the wild area but any assistance with the starters would be appreciated.

  9. What can I say? I expected to get thrashed by the European champions but actually made Liverpool work. I thought we played outstanding today and should have finished a draw. Our keeper made a silly error and it costed us.

Wilder is fantastic. Some perspective is needed. Three years ago we were playing against Bristol Rovers.Today, we played against the European champions and I walked away from the ground disappointed

    Roll onto the next game!
