  1. Nailed it with astounding accuracy. 100 points. My opinion is pretty much the same, 3rd parties still don't do all they can, but they did pick up the pace and there's plenty of good software. Sometimes I get dates mixed up, so I'll skip some games I'm not sure were release in 08, but this year with Brawl, Mario Kart, Wario Land, De Blob, Disaster, Force Unleashed, Wii Music, Animal Crossing, Tiger Woods, We Golf (or wtvr the name is), CoD, Sonic (which is apparently good), Skate It and Shaun White (I know! It's from Ubi!), not to mention Wii Ware and VC, I'm more than happy. I see people content all the time buying good but not great and even mediocre games for other consoles, but when it comes to Wii if they're not AAA, high budget games they're ignored or shunned and that's annoying. Just Wario Land, Disaster and De Blob alone in the last few months of the year should satisfy any gamer saying there haven't been great games. I think 3rd parties are starting to improve, I don't know if they'll ever reach the level they should've had earlier on, specially graphic-wise considering they should already know how to work with GC. What I want to know now is how will Motion+ be used, considering it's an add on, there're some inherent risks.
  2. Anyone watched those specials online? Downloading a new browser turns me off
  3. You can only see their rooms, at least when they're in HRA. What's the point of going to another town with no player there? Asides from destroying his flowers, stealing fossils and fruit and chopping down his trees?
  4. I'm really liking it so far, the avatars are nice to have, don't care if they don't do much or are a Mii rip off, but mainly the dashboard works great. Just wish the marketplace was better to navigate. It's good, but it should have more sorting options. Also, when I see friends I see some thingies behind them like ships and whatnot, what's that? Also, the avatar creation music is clearly by Rare :P
  5. Galaxy itself wasn't in the works for GC, people think that because of Mario 128 but the game was always made for Wii from ground up. As was Prime 3, Brawl and MK. They didn't blow their whole load because they're not stupid and think before doing, but they certainly worked very hard to release all these games and IP wise they released the main ones fast.
  6. Holee shit man. I'm literally blown away, that sucks hard. But you handled and are handling it like a true man. Just keep acting honest and as cool headed as possible and keep all those text messages in case you ever need some backup. When you feel like talking, you know I'm here.
  7. Ah that explains it. I'm writing this down so I don't forget it. Seriously, let's not go there, it's a train thought that ends in blood. Not only does this take premise on the small internet stratum, which isn't composed of all the informed avid gamers by far, it's a lie and misconception. If gamers' were so malcontent with the Wii, it would have stopped selling as would software. I'm not trying to have a war or picking on you or something here, seriously just trying to clear up what I think is incredibly wrong and unfair, because you're basically saying that if a gamer knows its stuff, he doesn't like the Wii, if he likes it, he's a fanboy and that's just leaving no wiggle room for the option that people might actually like it and be informed, either because it was what they expected, because they have other consoles to fill the gaps or both. I wish people would understand that most people become fans of a brand because they agree and like what they do and their MO, not the other way around. Also, you say games that have controls not possible on other consoles feel like extension of GC games. Seriously? I mean, we have two other consoles, with the majority of the games being mostly the same since times immemorial with graphic enhancements and online and Wii is the one that provides an extension of GC games? I honestly don't get it. Like dazzy said, the controls add so much to the experience, I can't see how that argument can hold water, even in TP's case which is a GC game, since the IR controls added something unexperiencable otherwise. To me, this is a full next-gen leap. Maybe to you it isn't, but to me it seems it just shows that what you want, like I said to others, is a more graphical and online intensive experience. Also, if you raved about WW, SOTC and DQVIII, agh :P It doesn't sound stupid at all, blowing their load early was a huge risk, they're obviously still catching their breath. HoT and dazzy are pretty much spot on about everything mainly 3rd party customer support. I'll add this, you see so many people here and on other forums slagging Wii for not having good 3rd party games, that they don't sell, that there aren't core games and the latest trend, their Wii is gathering dust. But when good games come out, which is to me more frequent than before, do they buy them? No. They simply ignore them like they never existed. So, yeah your Wii is gathering dust, you need to buy games in order to play it.
  8. I'm starting from scratch eitherway, even if I transfer my character, I'd just like the safety of having those rare items on the catalog.
  9. So you can vouch for the entire demographic about what we want and need? I don't feel like I'm losing out at all, on the contrary, specially because I feel their Wii games are better than the previous ones, but maybe it's because I'm one of those who can't tell how good a game can be when evolved a whole generation. Which apparently means better graphics and HD.
  10. Except that most people on this forum are usually bashing Nintendo and most users are mainly 360 fans, but yeah whatever works. Like I said, it's pointless to start a list wars, since you say it's always missing stuff, even if it isn't. Also, because other consoles have a perfectly complete catalogue. They have everything! Lack of resources? When? Nintendo has always been swimming in money, they never lacked resources. They need to show developers? What about the fact that their titles are high quality, diverse, old IPs and new IPs and taking casual games seriously instead of what 3rd parties are saying? Or the fact that they're implementing the controls with great success? What he says is perfectly correct, most 3rd parties don't get it, to them making a casual game is synonim of making a cheap rushed game, while Nintendo is releasing new and original casual games, well developed and well pushed, which is the opposite of most 3rd parties and the best example that can be given to them. And this is the core of the matter. Funny how you ignore the fact that they secured games like Tenchu, Fatal Frame, Endless Ocean, Sin & Punishment 2 and Monster Hunter and how they pushed 3rd party games at E3 and other shows like they never did before. They were never this involved with 3rd parties. Just because you want Nintendo to make every single genre on the Earth so they can dominate everything, doesn't mean they need to do it. Monopolies and moneyhats aren't a necessity in my book. Yes, it would be nice to see some 360/Ps3 franchises on the Wii, yes it would be nice to see some Wii franchises on 360/PS3, but you know, that's pretty much the norm in a multi-console market.
  11. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13719724&postcount=486 Sweeet.
  12. I dunno, I just wanna import mine, because I want to be able to get my Master Sword, Triforce and Arwing in case I can't get them in the game. Just these, I wouldn't buy any other item. But I think if push comes to shove and I can't find them, I'll just create a 2nd character and import it I suppose.
  13. I appologize for using this overused image, but It's not even worth it to further into it, as we've had this discussion so many times, with lists always showing core games and new games, but somehow it's like a gaping hole in reality. And yeah, they really need to increase their profits. Also, Nintendo should really take the blame and Reggie should throw himself onto a sword when commenting on the quality of 3rd party games, because you know, 3rd party games are made by Nintendo. Yes Reggie, we know you're knew here, you just came out of school, but next time when asked about the status of 3rd party games, for the love of God, be evasive and talk about the weather, do not, I repeat, do not answer the question you were asked.
  14. I always give priority to single player, well at least offline, but since I hardly use Live and I'd like to play with you guys once in a while I was curious :P
  15. You still believe this? They did it dozens and dozens of times before! And they always do it when there's a week without Naruto.
  16. Thanks ^^ Making covers is fun. Specially when you can put a tute on top of a palm tree lol I really love that you can point to Miis when watching videos, read their names and zoom in and out, it makes the experience really personal.
  17. I'll start playing this tomorrow or monday, it has co op right? Is it cool or what?
  18. And Portugal! But I'm too lazy to do anything right now.
  19. Red and Mike I've been getting your vids and they're sweet, seriously, really great. ^^ I'm really loving it. Haven't had that much time to play it, life's been hectic but it's great to see that Wii glowing and thinking "Hey it must be a new music from a fellow N-Er!" .
  20. Thing is, you only play with people you traded FCs with, so it's much more controlable. But yeah PSO still was awesome ^^ *white flashes, berserk mode*
  21. Naruto has been freaking jawesome. I never had a problem with as most people, but lately it has been reachin levels I'd expect in an anime that's not infinite. Kick ass. Of course this won't last forever, but still, win. Also, Hidan's expressions remind me of Loius from Hotel Dusk.
  22. Whichs ends up being the same as having less levels :P
