I can see the top 4 finishing as is. If Liverpool don't win it I would prefer City to win it over Chelsea, but there's just something more ruthless about Chelsea that makes them favourites for me. Getting a bit tired of the media's strange obsession with trying to get managers to admit either they could win the league or are favourites to win it. Why? What difference does it make if Mourinho thinks he's favourite or not? Why to people want to hear him say it so much? They probably only want the soundbite so they can point to it later if he fails. Really hope Barca win tonight, though Real Madrid are slightly less evil now Jose isn't there. While I'm at it I might as well hope Milan win tonight too, they've flopped worse than Utd this season.

Well Raw wasn't really 'hijacked', was it? It was a pretty good show though I thought, Wyatts vs Sheild 2 was ace! Wrestling is in a weird place at the moment, so much so I struggle to even articulate my thoughts on it, essentially the tail is trying to wag the dog. The idea of giving the fans what they want has always existed in wrestling, but it's always been on the promotion's terms, the tail never wagged the dog. If the crowd chanted boring the workers slowed down even more, then got busy in their own time, they worked the fans, they booked the show, not the other way around.

There's loads of options for assistance exercises (assuming you're still squatting and deadlifting). Legs: Front Squats Romanian Deadlifts Reverse Lunges Bulgarian Split Squats Goblet Squats Sep Ups Back: Bent Over Rows DB One Arm Rows Pull Ups/Chin Ups Batwings (isometric hold ) Farmer's Walks For legs, I'd pick the Romanian Deadlifts for the posterior chain and one or two of the others to include the quads, including one of the single leg exercises might be a good addition if you're already squatting. For the back either of the rows, and pullups/chinups are probably plenty. Single DB Rows are more lower back freindly if that's a concern. Dan John's Batwings are more of a posture fix, good if you do lots of pressing and/or have rounded shoulders. Like the deadlift there are other exercises that will work the back and legs together to a large degree such a the olmypic style lifts but they can be a bit technical and taxing to use as assistance exercises.

I don't give Scotland much of a chance myself, can't see them getting many points outsie of the Gibralta and Georgia games, and Georgia away is a game they could easily struggle with, they might pick up a point or two vs Ireland but I wouldn't bank on it. Glad to see England not drawn again Poland, sick to death of playing Poland. Nice to see the Liverpool fans applaud Shelvey's goal, that was class. And that pass from Sterling for the first goal was Gerrard-esque.

EC was pretty good overall, the EC match itself was very good and The Wyatts vs The Sheild was excellent.

The relief of beating Swansea has just been made all the sweeter by Spurs' defeat to Norwich. What an unexpected bonus. Looking forward to MOTD.

Haven't seen the second pen shout but everyone is saying it was nailed on. How Webb hasn't given it, or the one at Chelsea, I don't know. I think the reason he's considered a good ref is because he doesn't take any guff, and is confidently wrong. He's far from perfect.

Fair play to Arsenal. Glad we made a game of it and made chances but you've got to take them, for some reaon we're just not as clinical away from home. Sounded like a good game.

Great collection so far Ealdast, you've got a lot of must haves already. Nice to see you have stuff like Beyond Good and Evil and Second Sight and POP, as well as the more obvious first party must haves like Zelda, Mario, Metroid etc. You must get Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4, either on the Gamecube or the Wii. Code Veronica X, Resident Evil 2 and 3 are nice to have too but can be pricey on the Cube, I would prioritise the first three I mentioned. If you play a lot of local multiplayer you should consider Warioware Inc, Mario Power Tennis, Mario Smash Football, either Timesplitters games and Super Monkey Ball 2 (I think SMB2 has the best/most mini games). Worms 3D is a good multiplayer laugh, (and as it's turn based you can play it with 4 friends with only one controller). I'd say Mario Party 5 too but one Mario Party game is probably enough, MP5 is good though. Props to people mentioning games like Timesplitters, Metal Arms, Hitman 2, Sphinx And The Cursed Mummy, Chibi Robo, Killer 7 and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Metal Arms, Shinx and Hulk are probably underrated gems but less essential, and they're are available (often cheaper) on other systems. I woud add games like 007 Everything or Nothing, Freedom Fighters and X-men Legends to that list. Viewtiful Joe is quality, a proper gamer's game, I'd say that's must have on the Cube or otherwise. The Timesplitters games are absolutely essential if you like FPS games. Either is as good as the other, personally I think it's worth having both but Future Perfect can be pricey on the Cube, cheaper to get on other systems (as with most multiplats). Killer 7 is very unique but a bit of a marmite game, I love it but it's hard to recommend as a must have given how dividing and expensive it can be. Similarly Jungle Beat depends on whether you fancy the bongo controls, great game but is it for you? Chibi Robo is easy to recomend, it's a very Nintendo sort of game, bright and charming, really puts a smile on your face. It can be rare and expensive though, I paid £23 for mine and I thought it was was worth it. Zelda: Four Swords Adventure probably isn't quite a must have, it is a quality game though, and obviously a must have for Zelda fans. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is good if you like golf games, or would prefer a more interesting and querky alternative to traditional golf sims. I woulln't say it was must have though unless you really like golf. Skies Of Arcadia Legends is a top quality RPG if you like them, but can be very expensive. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is probably a must have for most people, but again it's usually expensive

Glad to hear we deserved it, we really can't go from whomping Arsenal to struggling against the bottom of the league if we're serious about top 4 or even better. Nice to see Coutinho get a goal, his form has picked up recently and his confidence should be up too with that goal. Loved seeing Sturridge give him props for that sweet asssit against Arsenal.
-
Thank God for that, had a sucky evening but that's cheered me up a bit. Sounds like we really got out of jail though. And we really needed to win with Spurs destroying Newcastle (what has happened to them?). On the flipside Fulham must be absolutely gutted, I do feel for them losing so late, to a pen. It's crazy, I'm nervous about finishing 4th with Spurs just one win behind us, but we're only 4 points off the top ourselves. Utd now 11 points behind 4th place, surely 4th is beyond them now.
-
Yeah, I'm more confident of top 4 than i have been for ages, but it's still not a certainty as long as we turn out poor away performances like that at West Brom, so I'm still quite nervous about it. What I am doing is learning to enjoy individual results a lot more again, even if we cock up 4th place at least we've monstered some teams this season, and scored some cracking goals, and it's been a privilege to watch Suarez for us this season. I think Coutinho has found his prefered position in the middle, will Lucas get back in the side? Coutinho makes thoughballs sexy. On Moyes, this is exactly what Fergie warned about, sacking him now would go against everything he said about having patience, but Champions League must be important to Utd. For that reason I can see Moyes lasting the season especially if Utd push Spurs, Everton and Liverpool close for top 4, but if they miss out I think he will be replaced in the summer with a big name, I don't think they'll risk missing two season out of the CL.

Superb stuff so far, I hope Arsenal give it a go in the second half, our attack is made for the counter attack. Won't gloat too much, wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal beat us again in the cup game.

No but he was light enough to walk on water, he knew how to keep the weight off. Plus he fed 5000 people with five loaves and two fishes, he clearly knew a thing about nutrition and making a few calories go far.

Savour the Wii U and Vita they are the new Dreamcasts?!
pratty replied to flameboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
My thoughts? Sick of it all. This is actually one of the better articles about the Wii-U, and i totally agree with the closing statement. But in general I'm sick of articles popping up telling us things we already know, and the inseccure, "I told you so", doom-mongering trolls that write them, gleefully putting the boot into a company that just tries to put smiles on peoples faces, without resorting to murder simulation. Yes the Wii-U and Nintendo's current profitability are struggling relative to previous sucessess. We know, I get it. Seems there is a competition though about who can paint the bleakest picture, or decribe Nintendo's plight in the most creative and snarky way. I'm not sure when gaming become some financial spectator sport, keeping score of sales, share prices etc, it's a shame that Iwata's pay cut spoils my gaming enjoyment, oh wait, actually it doesn't. Let me know when the plug is pulled, until then I don't care. Yeah, yeah less wii-U sales means less games, but there's already enough Wii-U games avilable and in the pipeline that interest me. The Wii-U could die tomorrow and I'd still have one. Why? Because I'm a gamer and it has good games I want to play, I don't care about being on the losing team playing Nintendo, I don't need millions of other people playing Wii-Us validate my personal gaming enjoyment. Just on this point, unlike Sega at the time of the Dreamcast, Nintendo are spreading themselves across two platforms at the same time, imagine if all their 3DS games including 3rd party exclusives like Layton were on the Wii-U, the Wii-U lineup would be awesome. -
Do Nintendo's Game Droughts Make You Game Elsewhere?
pratty replied to Goron_3's topic in Nintendo Gaming
No, like others I have quite a backlog as it is, plus I like to play my older consoles and games a lot so droughts never bothered me. I love re-playing games , I wouldn't keep a game if I didn't want to replay it sometime. Plus gaming is just one hobby, so even if I was waiting for a new game I'm sure I'd find something else to do. -
I've not heard much, other than something about Vince personally trying to get him back. Could be a work, but even if it isn't if they're smart they could still turn it into a work. But really I don't see how Punk can come back for Wrestlemania, it goes against everything he complained about, people leaving and coming back when it suits them to take the spot of people who are always there. Seems a lot of people support him but I think he went about it totally the wrong way. He didn't just walk out on the McMahons, he walked out on the locker room (the guys that put him over so he could draw the houses), the writers/TV crew (who had to re-write Raw last minute), and the fans that paid to see him. I guess he feels like he's taking a tough moral stand for something he believes in, and maybe he thinks it's for other people's best interests long term as well, but ultimately he seemed very unprofessional to me. A lot of people are probably unhappy with their spot in WWe but they still show up, and make the best of it. Even if he thought he or Bryan should have main evented Mania, why didn't he just wrestle HHH, prove WWE wrong by stealing the show (which should be easy if he really is the best in the world) and make a fat chunk of cash while he's at it. Clearly money isn't everything to him which is good, but it seems like the most pragmatic thing to do, there are other ways to make a protest and he only had 5 months on his contract left anyway, might as well see it out. Recently Austin said on his podcast when he walked out of WWE it cost him about 2 million in potential earnings, and his own Stone Cold brand of beer which him and WWe were in the process of starting up. Anyway, I really enjoyed the main event from this weeks Raw, really good lengthy match that wouldn't have been out of place in a PPV main event.

Maybe you just weighed yourself at a bad time. I wouldn't fret over a single week. If you went 2-3 weeks without losing weight then there could be a problem. Also perhaps you have gained some muscle, maybe on your legs from all that cycling and cardio. I'm assuming your goal is fat loss rather than specifically weight loss. Your weight is only a rough but decent guideline for fat loss, you may want to consider other ways to measure your progress aswell such as bodyfat percentage, measurements etc, even just you way you kook. As Charlie said you might not know the exact amount of calories you're eating, or for that matter the calories you're expending, so it's not an exact science if you're using rough estimates, so the rate at which you lose weight may fluctuate as your calorie deficit does. It's still early days, give it some more time and you'll know whether things are really working or not. You may even find you're doing too much, or the 'wrong' kind of cardio for your goals, but at this point it's probably too early to start tinkering with your workout routine until you have a better idea of the results what you're currently doing is getting you.

Oh Kolo. What a wasted opportunity. Probably would have taken a draw with Arsenal, will just have to hope we beat them now to make up the lost points.

Could all be an elaborate work, these days I don't trust anything since promotions started trying to work the dirt sheets. But assuming Punk walking is a shoot, why does he have the devine right to headline? I'm sure he works hard but so does Kofi, so does Ziggler, so does D-Bry, so does Cena, so does Del Rio etc. I like guys like Punk and D-Bry as much as anyone, but main eventing is as much about selling out arenas and PPVs, as well as having 5-star matches, if not more. It was reported recently that Vince told WWe staff Cena feeds the company. If that's true then how to leave your top draw out of the main events? So you have all these stars like Punk, Cena, D-Bry, Brock, Taker, Batista etc that all want/'deserve' to be headlining, but they can't all be in the main event, is WWe just going to have a 6 way match at Wrestlemania just so they can satisfy all these egos? Maybe if Punk was as over as Daniel Bryan or could draw like Cena he'd be in the main event. Seems a bit ironic to complain about part-timers then go home himself.

I thought Raw was pretty decent, some good tag matches as usual. HHH and Steph trolling at the begining was hilarious.

So jealous of your deadlifting. Since my back injury last year I can't seem to go above 90kg without getting warning signals from back telling me to ease off. Might have to leave deads for a while and strengthen my back/core in other ways, and try and come back to it. Did high rep squats on Saturday for the first time in ages, did a set of 50 with just the 20kg bar, only just recovered from the DOMS.

#03 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Chrono Trigger)
pratty replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not much of a RPG guy but i wanted to play this to see what all the fuss was about. I played it on the DS, and while I haven't played enough RPGs to say it's the best RPG ever, I can see why a lot of people say it is, it's very, very good. It really was an ideal RPG for me, not too long, not too grindy, great story and characters, and no random battles. I'm not really one to pay a lot of attention to game music either, but Chrono Trigger really stands out in that department with some really memorable music. It's hard to think of anything bad about it really. -
