Barca Arsenal Chelsea Atletico Real Porto Munich Juventus Pretty much all the favourites, the toughest to call is City vs Barca, I think both teams are capable of winning their home fixtures so it could come down to which team beats the other by the most, in which case I think it could be Barca that edges it.

Utd definitely deserved to win, that said Utd weren't 3 goals better than us, there was just no beating De Gea, and their second goal was obviously offside to everyone who wasn't a match official or Gary Neville.

I find our weather generally cold, but it's not unusual to see outdoor sporty types such as joggers and recreational footy player going around in shorts and short sleaves whatever the weather. Even some postmen and women will wear shorts in nippy weather, I don't know how or why they do it.

I could list dozens of games, it's hard to narrow it down, but here's just a few off the top of my head: Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Zelda: Majora's Mask Zelda: Windwaker WWF No Mercy Metroid Prime Resident Evil 4 Super Mario Galaxy 2 Goldeneye 007 (N64) Winning Eleven 6 FE I wouldn't know where to start with honouable mentions, so many good games.

Yeah I do get a lot of his frustrations, but there's so many angles to look at things from I find it hard to have either an entirely pro or against opinion of what he said. I mean he says they show favouritism to Cena, but then again he is pretty much their top star. He said he outsold Cena on merch, but for how long? Cena's been selling merch and tickets for years and still does. Considering so many people boo Cena, you can see why WWE would want to make him look good, maybe they shouldn't exploit the make a wish thing for publicity at all, but if they're going to do it doesn't it make sense to do it for Cena? It fits his image more than Punk's, who has been a heel half the time, and probably most of his time as champ. Conversely Cena isn't the one striking fans in the stands and calling them homos. Punk also complained about working hurt but would also insist on finishing matches when WWE tried to help him get out of the Rumble early because he was injured, so he didn't always help himself. But WWE shouldn't have worked him so hard, and should have diagnosed his staph infection. On the one hand I admire Punk's self belief and determination and that he wanted to look out for himself, like Austin and other's have said, you should be striving to be the top dog in WWE. But then equally the show isn't really about him. The Austin/Vince podcast is up here: http://podcastone.com/Steve-Austin-Show-Clean

I listened to both Colt's recent podcasts with Punk, the second one wasn't very good. I agreed with a lot of Punk's gripes to an extent, but equally it was largely his opinion and all from his point of view, so of course he thinks he deserved to main event wrestlemania. The counter argument to that one would be since when was wrestling ever about making sure CM Punk or any wrestler got what they felt they deserved? The main event is and always has been about who the promoter think will draw him the most. Punk also said it was a double standard that Brock had shorts sponsors and he couldn't, but it's not an equal comparison, Brock had those sponsors in place before he signed with WWE, so Brock comes with sponsors or not at all. I'm not hating on Punk for wanting to make money, I hope he makes all the money he can, but I do find having sponsored shorts a bit at odds with his characters anti establishment 'Punk' persona. Additionally I find it very ironic Punk complained about Rock, Brock, Batista etc coming in to WWE to attract a wider audience, taking spots away from full time talent, but now he's going to UFC to widen their auidence at the expense of other established MMA fighters. To be fair to Punk he did say he was happy to start in smaller promotions, and it was Dana White who said the money was in his debut. But if it was a principle Punk felt that strongly about I'm sure he could have insisted on starting his MMa career elsewhere, after all he said money isn't everything.

That was insane, especially as he's not even left footed is he? I was puzzled by Rodgers' selection too, seemed like we put a must not lose side instead of a must win one. I don't understand why in a must win game, it only becomes a necessity to score in the secod half, or even the last 20 minutes. We had 90 minutes to win the game, so why only go for it after half the match has already been wasted? And how does a £25mil attacking midfeilder not get on the pitch during a must win game? That said I do feel slightly sorry for Rodger's in the sense that clearly he was onto something last year, and he's had that sucessful formula scuppered by Suarez and Sturridge, two things pretty much beyond his control. Equally though I think it's fair to say he hasn't responded well to those setbacks.

We should start every game 1-0 and a man down. At least Gerrard made us believe for 10 minutes, that free kick was literally perfect. Hate to say it but Markovic got himself sent off, it was soft but I think there was contact.

The best games you'll never play again!
pratty replied to nekunando's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Probably Chrono Trigger or Skies Of Arcadia, I only have time to play JRPGs once. -
When I can't be arsed working out I do bodyweight isometrics, not moving feels like working out without the effort. Eventually you can up tired but it sort of creeps up on you by which time you're already into it, I certainly sweat a lot less too. The sorts of things I do are squats holds, pushup up holds, front/side/reverse planks (arms extended), 'easy' hollows hold (ie not a strict hollow), glute bridges, something where I stand on a bent leg, leaning forward, with my other leg extended behind me, and somethling like a downward dog except on my knees.
-
Hat's off to Palace, that was an unsavable freekick. I'm taking the defeat on the chin, no excuses, we are utter garbage. I literally cannot remember when we were this bad. The Sturridge injuries are joke aswell, what on earth is going on at Liverpool?

Just as easily as someone could say his shirt was objectifying women, you could also argue he was celebrating women and the female form. Here's my issue with the idea of 'objectifying', if I look at an image of a women whether it's sexy or not, I can't help but 'objectify' them because it's only an image. Yes I'm sure the model has a personality too and is infact a person, but if all I have is an image of them how am I supposed to admire anything other than their form, and why is it wrong if I do? To say if I enjoy the image of a women that means I subsequently regard all women as mere objects is a huge, unsubstantiated and generalised presumption, ironic coming from feminists. It's refreshing to see so many stick up for the guy here. I think there is a culture of fear surrounding pollitical correctness these days, where the safest option is to condemn somebody or something first, then wait for the prevailing concensus as to whether it really was sexist or whatever, that way even if you're wrong at least people know you don't condone descrimination, even if you're not really sure what it is.

I don't think it's so much a case Of McMahon being a Murdoch puppet, simply WWE had a deal with Sky which probably gave them exclusive rights to broadcast WWE content, the network is probably a bit of a legal grey area. Sky likely argued the network it breached their deal and threatened legal action. Even if WWE could sucessfully argue that the network doesn't breach their agreement with Sky, it would still sour their relationship as the network undercuts Sky Box Office selling PPVs. The independant network was always going to take money out of Sky's pocket, I believe WWE have burned several bridges with PPV partners in the US already (they literally tell the viewer you're a fool to by PPVs outside of the network), I don't see why WWE thought Sky would be any different. To be fair to Sky they're well within their rights to call WWE on this, although it should have been forseen and sorted out one way or the other ages ago. I don't know how WWE didn't see this issue coming.

Bench/chair dips? Be careful though, some people find these wreck their shoulders so they aren't for everyone. Also you can try this: Get into a reverse plank like this, with your hands pointing forward. Then, keeping your hands where they are and your legs straight, very gradually slide your heels backwards so your hands end up slightly closer to your hips. This will cause you to lean back slightly and put more stress on the triceps. You shouldn't have to move much to get the desired effect, only an inch or two, anymore and you might risk your elbow joint. Don't try to make it harder by leaning back too much, just shoot for holding it longer, or doing more sets. It might not replace your pushups but it might be something you could add for more time under tension on the triceps.

I would add many of those players weren't exactly cheap.

Borini, Kolo and Mignolet impressed last night, Boroni starts against Chelsea for me, would be tempted to start Kolo aswell. Encouraging showing from Can too, Markovic could have been better but at least showed flashes, in fairness it was a tricky game to show his stuff considering the opposition and context of the game. I back Rodgers over the team selection, we supposedly left out our 'best' players, the same players that did nothing at Newcastle (not to mention generally sucking all season), the whole team could have been dropped. Our away fans deserve a special mention too, they outsang the Real fans all night.
-
Yeah it is a bit harsh. Especially with the some of the free/loan players who cost nothing and were mostly just padding out the squad. And I'd say the jury's out on more players too. The signings that annoy me the most are Borini, Aspas, Luis Alberto, Ilori and to lesser extent (based on the lower fee) Assaidi. Millions wasted on unproven hopefuls, at best squad players that we just bench and/or loan out for the rest of their contracts and will be lucky to get anything back on in transfer fees. I fear Can and Markovic (£20 mil!) could end up the same way. Add all the fees together and we could have actually signed proven talent. Borini is especially odd as Rodgers clearly rated him to buy him for £10.5mil, then suddenly this summer we were desperate to sell him, and bought Lambert and put him ahead of Borini in the pecking order. Clearly an admission from Rodgers that signing Borini was a mistake, but I don't get how Borini can be rated by Rodgers 2 years ago, then look an improved player at Sunderland, then suddenly be almost forced out of the club. I mean don't we have homegrown U-21 players who could at least not score goals for us for free, instead of signing all these foreigners to do the same at the cost of millions?
-
Depressing isn't it. We''l likely lose to Real (maybe heavily) and Chelsea, and I think the press will be talking about the sack for Rodgers. The fans are very patient but will the owners be? I like Rodgers but he has wasted a lot of money on signings that aren't making the difference. I'm getting a bit tired of the geniuses pointing out that we miss Suarez and shouldn't have sold him. Er, does nobody remember that he was suspended for this virtually this entire bad run? And not only did people say we should have sold him ages agobut some said we should have outright sacked him, can't win what we do can we. We're idiots/scum to keep him and now we're idiots to sell him. Suarez forced our hand at the world cup, we couldn't go all this time without him, the problem is we bought Balotelli and other gambles (eg Markovic) instead of another Suarez level player, and Sturridge got injured. And the lack of belief now that our star strikers are out of the side has trickled down the entire team. The fact that we were in for Sanchez showed our intent to replace Suarez is a similar player, but he turned us down, the irony of it all is Balotelli had been linked with Arsenal all summer.

If you do make sure you do back three times a week too, or at least mix in some upper back/rear delt work with your extra chest stuff. Trouble is most people have have tight front muscles and rounded shoulders as it is, from bad posture and sitting too much. Doing loads of extra chest/anterior delt work is going to make it worse and probably lead to injuries/pain as well as bad posture. So to prevent that you'll have to do more back. You don't necesarily have to do more taxing heavy rows or pull ups. Maybe more lower weight, higher volume posture work. E.g. face pulls, bent over flies, band pull aparts, bat-wings etc, and stretch your chest and anterior delts (and maybe biceps too) often, the doorway chest stretch is a good one. Additonally you may find that the extra back/posture stuff improves the look of your chest itself.

We were lucky with the OGs but I don't know about QPR being miles better, no doubt we were poor, especially the first half, but I didn't think QPR were that great either. They roughed us up a bit, put us under pressure and created some good chances but it was a closer game than people think, nobody seems to remember we had our fair share of chances too, such as Balotelli's open goal miss or Hendo being one one one if the linesman knew the offside rule. We created problems for them aswell, 3 goals worth in the end. Would have been perfect if Mario to got the winner there at the end, he can't catch a break, but I'll take the OG. Draw woufd have been a fair result but when a game is that close they can swing either way. I'm worried about Real though, it could be ugly.
-
Sanchez's goal was rather nice though. I'm jealous. And a clear foul on Hull's first goal. Bruce had nothing to say about it on MOTD, surprise surprise. He would have lost his mind over that if it happened to his side.

I've tried watching NXT a few times but I've found it quite overrated when I have. Most of the matches are short and very one sided. Usually the main event is good but that's about it. And I don't think the talent is as good as people say, there was a lot of hype behind people like Paige and Bray (and even Emma ) coming to Raw, they're decent enough I guess but you'd think they were the second coming of Kurt Angle the way people raved about them. I will say though the one hour is a nice change from the slog a 3 hour Raw can be.

With us being so crap at the moment Real might actually rest the big guns against us.

We were unlucky not to win, took a last minute one in a million strike for Everton to hold us. Still we should have scored more and put the game to bed earlier. I take it as a compliment that Jags saved that goal for us, was a great hit. Barry should have gone, was annoyed listening to the commentary taking about how they hoped the ref would be lenient as it's a derby, why? Why does the rule book suddenly not apply because it's a derby? And John Motson is an idiot. Watched MOTD and his commentary for the Rooney sending off was hilarious, he doesn't have a clue, his surprise at Rooney's red card was utterly bizarre, I've never seen something so underplayed, what was he watching? It's the most blatant red you could ever see. But Utd fans needn't worry, like all the other stuff before it will all be totally forgotton about after this weekend.
