I was saying my thoughts out loud. I can understand why we'd need the sensor bar, for tracking. So, it must have one on the back of the Upad, surely? For precision. I'm not sure if the gyroscopes would be precise enough for the tv to detect exactly where they are. I actually don't know now. Hmm. We need a tech-y guy in here.

Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen

There's a sensor bar on top of the television, still. Although...if the sensor is on top of the Upad, how does that work?! As you'll have the top facing the ceiling. Mind. Blown. -

The Ucontroller is exciting and its great to see Nintendo trying to move the industry forward with that idea. However, I still feel that there is still life left in MotionPlus. There's plenty of unexplored ground. Do you think Nintendo should continue to explore this avenue, or should they rely on The Ucontroller as the primary method of control for the console? Personally, I think the WiiMotion+ should be bundled in with the console and Ucontroller, and maybe even a classic controller pro as well. Except, possibly a wireless version. 3 different methods of control. What do you think?

Is that in response to my post? If so, the Upad is a bit too bulky and wide to be used as a pointer device, particularly in an FPS. I think it would be too complicated, personally. -

You no like AvP2? That first level, where you go into the base and its empty. Shit me up so much. Also, when you have to go into the hive to rescue your friend, and then escape. I was running at full pace, turning around and trying to shoot those bastards. I was closing some of the doors on the outside, but the aliens were finding ways through. Its actually one of my favourite all-time levels in any game. Properly shook me up. This one time, I was close to the APC and then died maybe a few feet away. I let out a noooooooooooo. I could see my health was dropping but just ran and ran, hoping to make it. Then...dead.

The Gentlemen's Mafia II - Hunter's Chance
Fierce_LiNk replied to Jonnas's topic in General Chit Chat
Wohoo, goooo town. I was pretty inactive in that last day phase, due to having lots of work to do and going to work. I had an incline that The Peeps was mafia, think I started looking into it properly in the day phase before, so I'm not surprised. You played well! Thought the mafia played well during the day. Kinda shot themselves in the foot by Smeagol giving away the info about the keys early on, but luckily we got him in the end. Bit flukey, but they all count. Chuffed to win on my first game, although I don't think I played all that well. But, I know how the game works and its been a great learning experience for me. Best player in the game was Mr Paul. We needed someone to start pointing us in the right direction and he took charge well. Only things I didn't like were: - The night phases were toooo long and it kinda killed some of the momentum of the game. There were phases where it was awesome, we all got pumped, and then we wouldn't play again for 2 or 3 days. The game struggled in that respect. - Nefarious...I think you realised at the end (in your post) that you got that one wrong, so fair play to you for coming out with that. As for the rest, loved the game. It was so exciting to play. I can see why people rate your games highly, Jonnas. This was fun. Moarrr. -
Are we going to be using the dual analogue sticks for this? Or, will we have the option to use Wiimote/MotionPlus. As great as the Upad is, I would...feel a bit bleh about going back to dual analogue on shooters. It's going back a step. I want to use the pad as a motion tracker and use the motionplus at the same time. How can I do this? With that WiiZapper type thing? Hmm. Issues!

Oh Jamba...you're starting to show your True Colours, now. The Least You Could Do is play along. There is No Way Out of this one. ...But Seriously, You'll Be In My Heart, good man. Everyday.

I don't think it's Against all odds that Nintendo fans would jump on metal gear. Although, I hear that Twin Snakes sold pretty well. But, there are Both sides of the Story, for instance, I didn't play that game. I hear that the game was like another day in paradise, but I cannot believe its true. Maybe one day I'll play it. I believe I will. I can feel it. In the air tonight.

This is my number one request. Apart from a fully fledged single player mode with tons of depth, similar to Smash Bros Melee/Brawl. Lots of stuff to unlock. In Smash Bros, you have the option to turn certain weapons off or to turn them all off. It would just be nice to have the option. Or, to be able to customise how often you'd be getting certain weapons. It could be percentage based, so if you're in last place, then 20% of the time you'll get the bullet bill or something. It might be more complicated to do that. But, something to be able to actually tweak certain things.

Nintendo's Conference - Tuesday 7th 5pm/6pm
Fierce_LiNk replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
To be honest, this might actually be a blessing in disguise. It might mean Nintendo are focused more on the online aspects of the Wii, online multiplayer, as opposed to just sticking with local all the time. It could force their hand. Of course, local multiplayer is awesome and I prefer it to online. But, the time is right for them now to do something special with the online aspect. -
Yeah, I agree. Thing is, who would you want? Getting a world class defender isn't easy. It would have to be a big money buy in order for their clubs to let them go. It really depends on how big a player you're talking. Arsenal could do with a Vincent Kompany type of character. Clear leadership skills, consistent performer, has some experience of playing in Europe. Also, young, only 25. You won't get him, cos City won't let him go to anyone now. But, that calibre of player I think is what Arsenal need. Somebody who is a leader and consistent.

NO. You are totally wrong. They are taking the best source material to create a space/sci-fi action-shooter game. This will be totally awesome. I'm not going go to lie, when I read that the screen will be used as a tracker...I came. My body is so ready for this. How will we actually control the action? Dual analogue? I would...actually like to use this and the Wiimote somehow. So excited for this. This is the only game I would ever even think about getting a 360 for. Don't need that now. Need this. Want. Also, loved your quotes in the first post, Gaggle. -

Most United fans were saying that about Chris Smalling when we signed him. After Nemanja Vidic, he's been our best defender this season. The difference is that he was playing alongside an experienced player, a master of defending. There's no problem with buying promising youth if they've got somebody experienced to learn from. I like Jones, but he's not a player we need at this time. I think he'll probably do well at United, but he's not an essential missing component. We need a midfielder, a creative one who knows where the net is.

Gah, probably the only time I've had someone's alignment revealed in my write-up, and they die. Although, Jonnas might have done that for funs. Are we still with the same suspects? The Peeps and Zell? I'm really not sure about Chair, considering he's been enhancing ReZ all game. Maybe this clears his name. -
Tomorrow, eh? Be careful not to take that video at Face Value. Make sure you prepare yourself before you Dance into the light of tomorrow, when this trailer is shown.

Be careful not to hurry that love, Phil. You just have to wait. It's a game of give and take. -

Yeah, I'm with you there. Seemed good to me. Although, it's been a while since I've played Galaxy, so maybe it is slower. Doesn't look awfully slow. The best part about watching that trailer is knowing that it's going to look even better in 3D on the actual handheld. I can't wait to hold the 3DS in my hands and see this game. This and Luigi's Mansion...beautiful.
