  1. Post your team on here so we can take a look at it. If it's anything like the team I had when I started, you'll have 4 or 5 terrible players with no future. I remember having a 29 year old 3 skilled player. Thanks, Xpert.
  2. Yeah, that's the one I thought it was. Bidded 49,300. Can you see eet?
  3. Yeah, that's what I meant. Anyway, should be a good game. Did anyone see this? Brilliant ending to the season.
  4. Sending you a PM now!
  5. Unfortunately, I think this is the year that Wigan go down. Fortunate for you, unfortunate for them. I'd like to see them stay up. Villa should be the ones going down and I think they'd benefit from it a lot, but they'll just manage to keep themselves up.
  6. Noooo, the IMAX at Southampton. The tickets for that are expensive, and the Empire in Tower Park seem to only be selling tickets for the 3D version, which I don't really care a lot about. They're doing both versions at the Odeon but I don't go to the Odeon in central Bournemouth as it's not as good as the Empire at TP, in my opinion. Tempted to IMAX it in Southampton, but it's a long way to drive and the 2D version is only being shown in the morning/early afternoon for some bizarre reason. In general, how do you feel about going to the cinema in the morning? I always almost regard it as an evening affair, like it's some sort of main event at a Wrestling Pay-Per-View.
  7. As it happens, there are 2 keepers who are 29 7s up for sale. One is 50,000 the other is 49,300. What's the deadline day? I think your keeper is the latter?
  8. Bought 2 tickets for Star Trek Into Darkness. Only cost £10 as it's on a Tuesday evening. But yay. Trying to get tickets for Man of Steel. Empire are only selling tickets for the 3D version so far, which I don't want. The IMAX in Southampton is charging £15 a ticket, which is a lot to me, especially as it's a 40 minute drive to get there. Hmm. Don't let me down, Empireeeee.
  9. @bob, I'll have that keeper if you're still up for it. I'll pay the estimated transfer price or what he's actually worth. Bagged myself an 18 5 defender with a training cone for less than a million. Swish! Was expecting the bidding to go much higher. It went higher earlier in the day from the starting bid, but it never got past a million. Delighted.
  10. Shocked by that score. I had just switched on the car radio and the game was being talked about. It sounded like a bad result for Newcastle, but I was imagining it to be a 2-0 or 3-0. I gasped when I heard it was 6. Insane. Really underperformed this season. Losing key players hasn't helped. Ba is difficult to replace, too. Newcastle will stay up, but they need a massive kick up the arse for next season. As for the game against Arsenal: It's a bit sad in a way to see Arsenal giving us the guard of honour. I'd rather be going to their ground and hoping to thrash them in a season where we narrowly pip them to the title. It's not really the same any more. 21 points behind and a goal difference of 13. It's sad.
  11. Oh, I noticed the puns. I'm just tired of hearing anything about that prick.
  12. Yeah, it's going to be tricky to find him, but it's do-able. If bob put him on the market for something like 50,001, that would make it easier to spot which person it is, right? Or even at the 58 300 price he is estimated at.
  13. A woman I work with tried some sort of insane diet about a year ago because she's a bit on the larger side. I don't think she exercised a great deal, from what I remember. Maybe some cycle rides here and there, but nothing more than that. Her diet consisted of her eating no grains, pretty much just protein and very little else. I'll be surprised if she even made it to 1000 calories over the day. She lost a ton of weight, but now she has put it all back on again and more. JonST is right, it has to be a lifestyle change. She's trying something similar again now and I told her it'll be very difficult to sustain for a longer period of time, but I get the impression she'll try again. In the same amount of time, I have become more fitter as a result of skipping, football and squash, whilst also becoming more stronger and upping the weight for all of my lifts. My hamstrings feel bigger than they have ever done, my body feels good and I feel great. I do think personally think that there is a place for counting calories, but only because I used to be a skinny fucker years ago who hardly ate. For me, I've become fitter, stronger and I'd say I look physically better because I've been looking at the calories, but that's only because I am serious about improving myself. Many people don't do it that way, but no two people are the same.
  14. We will be treating this as a warm-up. The real battle will begin when the season starts. We will laugh at your 1million econ win bonus as you squander your money to try to defeat us. DRA-GOOOOO
  15. Fancy a game on Tuesday, duuude? I need to buy a shitty keeper to just make up the numbers. I'm tempted to not go with a back-up and to put an all-rounder in goal if that plan backfires. I won't be using the back-up, so it'll just drop in DV/skill, over time. Looking at one more defender, (then solving the keeper issue) and that should be it. Only area of the field I'm worried about is the midfield. I think it's time to stop using Daan Wielink as much and start promoting the others. He's 31 and won't have too many years left in him.
  16. Yeah, yesteryear, you should try to eat some kind of breakfast? Do you eat eggs? Scrambled eggs/egg whites are good for you. I love that stuff. Deadlifts suck arse, today. Not sure I'm going to hit the same heights whilst on a cut. Gutted. Also, I never skip breakfast. If there is one meal I make sure I eat a day, it's breakfast. Gimme my oats!
  17. OHHH MYYYY. HNNNGGGGGGGG! I have two tickets to see Mogwai perform the soundtrack to Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait. They'll be performing the soundtrack live as the "film" plays. Oh GOD. Just....AAHHHHHH! Never thought they would do this. Too awesome. Too many people don't know about the soundtrack. It's beautiful. It's chilling at times. Eerie. It's just perfect.
  18. Yes, they would get less matches because it would be a first offence. The FA SHOULD use it against him because he has served a ban for it, yet has committed the offence again, showing no sign of learning from his mistake. It doesn't and shouldn't matter where the offence took place, it happened. Brendan Rodgers is so wrong on this. There is no rehabilitation for being a prick. Rehabilitation? Has he got a serious injury? Has he been the victim of assault? Liverpool bought him AFTER he committed a similar offence, why didn't they look to rehabilitate him? This reflects badly on them. They signed a player knowing he did this, who has then gone on to dive, cheat, racially abuse and now bite his way through players, and yet they still believe they are being wronged? I thought Brendan Rodgers was a decent and reasonable guy. He's acting like an absolute mug over this with comments like that. It's sad to see a club as great as Liverpool FC go through shit like this because they can't control or discipline their own players.
  19. It's a good suggestion, I'm just not sure if it's worth thinking about at the moment. Also, if we take it into account that teams have players that are 20 years old now, the players might only have 1 or 2 years at the top before the reset takes place. If somebody did manage to break into the top part of the Elite League, it would be a good achievement, but it would ultimately be short-lived before the reset. The more I think of it, the more I can't see if there's much to gain from it. Getting to the Elite league is fun and finishing in the top half would be nice, but there's still loads of fun to be had in the Middle and Lower Leagues. It seems like people are enjoying the game as it is for now, and there's lots of good rivalries going with teams trying to out-do each other.
  20. Sorry to hear about that, dude. I hope you find it. If it isn't in the gym or in work, it might be worth notifying the police in case somebody has done their good deed for the day and handed it in. It's a long shot, but you never know. Hope it turns up.
  21. I'm already looking forward to the next bulk. :p Cutting is hard. I'm being very clean about the whole thing, checking EVERYTHING I'm eating. It's amazing how easy bulking is in comparison, it's easier to make the numbers add up and you can snack on stuff in between to get the numbers up. Friday is pizza day in work but I'm not going for it, gonna get something else instead. I'm expecting my lifts to take a hit. Obviously going to try and outdo my bests, but not going to be too downhearted if they're not quite as good.
  22. You won't have built a great deal muscle on a deficit that huge. You need a surplus of some sort in order to build muscle. If anything, you'll have lost muscle on a diet like that. Just like @MindFreak mentioned earlier. It'll affect your strength in the long run, too. No food = no energy = not giving your maximum during your workouts = not fulfilling your potential. Food is everything. Post your diet in here and we'll have a look to see if we can help you out. I'm cutting at the moment and am aiming for around 1800 a day. Only been on it a few days, so I'm not going to have lost an awful lot. Also, fuck the sit-ups and spend more time on the weights. You're going to need a rest day in there. That's going to hold you back, too. Put in a rest day on the Saturday, maybe. Use that day to recover and then get recharged for the next day. I'd be tempted to put 2 rest days in there.
  23. I'll have him for 10k, but don't tell the others! Sending you a PM now.
  24. Only because you're poor and can't afford a VIP account, braaah.
