  1. I always laugh at how we/the British always moan about political voting. Maybe if we sent a good artist and with a good song, maybe we'd do better. Last year's winner was absolutely brilliant. I still listen to it to this day.
  2. I've always used it as a way of shortening Pakistani, as have the majority of Pakistanis that I know who have used it. Of course, I've also heard it used in conjunction with swear words, which alters the meaning of it. In itself, it's not "racist" in the sense that I'm not using it to say that Pakistanis are better or worse than others. (which is what racism is, but now people have misunderstood the meaning of the term and are now shitting bricks over using words such as "black" to describe inanimate objects such as pencils) There's no "card" that you speak of. Also, who ruled this to be a racist term? Probably somebody who doesn't have any relation to the term whatsoever.
  3. Actually, it's not. But, I love that gif.
  4. Well, no. Spending 100m on shit during one transfer window or in three transfer windows will still produce shit. The players bought dictate how the team will play and perform (as well as how the manager uses the players). Spending the money wisely is how you can build on and gain success. Look at the players Mark Hughes brought into City (25 million for Adebayor) and compare them with who Mancini brought. 24 million for Yaya Toure is money well spent. It's definitely possible to be successful and to spend less than your rivals, but it's fucking hard and it's harder to do it for a longer period of time. Inevitably, you need to spend money to bring in players to your club and to also keep the good players that you have. If there's no money at the club, players can and often do move on.
  5. Just started playing this. Have completed the first level. I LOVE EEEEET.
  6. I worded my post wrong. The dreaded "oh shiii, my battery is dying and I need to post everything before it dies" feeling. I don't particularly care about 3D. I've seen it in 3D and I enjoyed the film more today because it was my second viewing. Not for the 3D, but for the actual film itself. There were one or two moments where it looked nice, but it's not essential. I'd be coming out just as pleased had I seen it in 2D twice.
  7. My Dad and Granddad both have bald spots at the crown of their heads. It'll probably happen eventually, but I've had almost the opposite problem. I've got proper dark, thick, Paki hair. It needs to be cut every 4 weeks, otherwise I'll look like the missing Gallagher brother. Can be a pain in the arse to maintain and it means you can get hotter in the summer if you haven't had a cut. I've been bald once, as I decided to shave off the lot when I was around 13. The shape of my head doesn't lend itself well to baldness. In short, I'm screwed when it eventually happens. Hair transplant? Stress will definitely alter your hair, @mcj metroid. My youngest brother has many grey hairs at the age of 23 and he suffers from anxiety and stress. It won't help at all. Also, I'd imagine your diet would have something to do with it, too?
  8. Really? What makes you say that? It's beautifully crafted, it's new and it's memorable. Fragments of Time has been stuck in my head all day. Maybe the problem is that you expected Discovery II? That would have disappointed me more. Every album should feel fresh and new. They're all new journeys. Anyway, can't wait to have the actual album.
  9. But saying that something is selfish should be considered "bad". Also, I don't really understand the notion that you should feel bad because you're doing something else that you want to do instead of giving all of your time, energy, money and devotion to children. What I have a big problem with is that people jump into the whole "family life" idea too quickly. I got told last week that, at the age of 26, I would be classed as an old parent in Wales, as many people have kids at 18. Fuck that. I don't hate children. In fact, I love them, otherwise I wouldn't be in this profession. But, I also like so many other things and value the time that I dedicate to those things. Once you have kids, the amount of time that you get to spend on those things grows less and less. You're a parent 24/7, which is a fucking huge commitment. Why rush into it and do it when you're my age (26) rather than waiting a few years and having much more information, wisdom and stories to pass down, and do it properly with better financial backing?
  10. Money certainly helps, but it doesn't guarantee anything. Look at Real Madrid yesterday. Look at QPR, they've spent lots of money, but on dross. Spending wisely, man-managing the team correctly and training your team to attack with pace and defend carefully makes a successful team. Spending 35million quid on Andy Carroll isn't going to win anyone the league.
  11. Meh. My left leg/knee area still doesn't feel right, so not even going to try attempting squats. Going to leave it for a few weeks and then come back and try again when it feels better. Disappointed. Should have done push day today instead. Will do that tomorrow.
  12. Oh yeah, no denying that. But, there were also many other teams that were very lucky to not get relegated. Villa were down in the bottom for most of this season and have only lately started to turn it around, for example. Wigan need to sort out their defence. Goalkeeper and midfield positions are fine, but defence is cack.
  13. Second place in the Premier League, behind Manchester United. FA Cup Finalist. Knocked out of the Champions League: Yes, but they were in the same group as Real Madrid and Borussia fucking Dortmund. First FA Cup/any trophy in God knows how long. First Premier League title. Sacking him is fucking insane. If he had finished 5th and had lost control of the dressing room, or if City were playing bad football, then I could see it. The fact is that they finished second behind a United team with Vidic playing football more regularly (he hardly played in the season where City won it), with Carrick commanding that midfield, with De Gea playing out of his skin and with Van Persie on fire for most of it. Yes, they finished second, but at least they were the team that got closest. It's sad, and I sure hope that we don't go through this same process when Moyes arrives and doesn't get immediate success. I'd like to think that we're better than that. Wigan wanted it more. They play stylish and attractive football and it's a bit harsh to see them in the Championship when there are other teams which are arguably worse that are staying up. Newcastle and Norwich (and Villa) have been abysmal for the majority of this system, as have Sunderland. You can add Stoke to that bracket, too. Chelsea are being outplayed by Benfica. Will be surprised if this doesn't end up 2-0 to Benfica.
  14. Eat some quorn or fish, braaaah. Or, overdose on eggs.

  15. I've just come back from seeing this. 2 tickets for a tenner at Empire. Can't go wrong with that!
  16. Mancini has been sacked. The club are a joke.
  17. Hell no. But, if I had a WiiU and had the option to buy it for 30p, I would.
  18. Fuuuuuucccccckkkkk. That last track "Contact" is so perfect. Oh my. Can't stop listening to it. It's sublime.
  19. The time limit for Twozzok was unfair. "Challenge by tomorrow or else we can't play the game!" Not fair. That's not even a full day's warning.
  20. I would play Super Metroid even if I were covered in ketchup and was repeatedly smacked over the head with the genitals of a Nopon. 30p for it is insane, whatever format it is in.
  21. Genuinely cried laughing at that. Fantastic.
  22. Those last 2 or 3 minutes of track 3 are just hnnngggggggggg!
  23. You done good, Bob! Well done. Congratulations.
  24. Also, I am ALWAYS IN for the cup. I love the magic of the cup.
