Yep it would. Do you think you can get a memory stick with the Wii that you plug into the USB port on your Wii and make copies of your games and saves on there, and if neccessary delete them from your Wii and upload the saves and game anytime you want to play. I'd buy a few of them if the games were quite cheap, and I had some money.

I'd just realised something that proves the projector idea wrong. The TGS video showed people playing the Wii but looking at the TV, because the camera was where the TV was supposed to be and I think we got a glimpse of the TV too. I'm sure Nintendo haven't redesigned all their games to fit a projector.

That would be good. That is IF we get classic Game Boy and GBC games. I also hope for Virtual Boy, Game and Watch, Dreamcast and Saturn games on the VC. This thing is going to run Sony and Bill Gates into the ground!

I agree SA, for people like us who were brainwashed by Sony, we never got to play the old games. I appreciate that people put effort into those games, but there are over a million ROMs on the internet that people can play. Though rubbish with a keyboard, they are free. 8 pound per game will not sell. People will get ROMs, the VC will be unused and discontinued. There needs to be a catch, that will sell a lot and get a profit. Because we aren't paying for a box or instruction booklet now, which should knock some value off. There is now an unlimited supply of these games because they are downloadable and on memory. N64 - 6.50 GBP SNES - 3.50 GBP NES - 2.00 GBP MEGA DRIVE - 2.50 GBP TURBOGRAPHX - 3.00 GBP (unsure of how many bits were used to make it, eg 8bit, 16bit, so this is a guess) PROMOTIONAL GAMES - FREE (hopefully, if not then 50p)

You're like my clone, I was the same. Saved months for a crappy Monsters Inc. game that lasted all of twenty minutes! I would do anything to have that era back and have bought a N64, SUper Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, MAjora's Mask and Donkey Kong 64, StarFox 64 too!

Haden I can't find many good costumes (slim to none actually), so do characters from movie based games count?

I can't help it! I want the Virtual Console SO badly! I wonder about the Phillips CD-I Zelda games.... EGAD! The Virtual Boy too!

Correct-a-mundo! If I ever say that again, hurt me. With an oar. Sorry if I stole your idea Moria, I wasn't aware, though I knew I couldn't be the first to think of that theory. SA, I'll get the games for the same reason as you. I was never around in the so called Nintendo Golden Era, and I never thought of the SNES or N64 when I was younger. I realised how much I'd missed when I got the Cube/Game Boys, and enjoyed playing classic Zelda on my bonus Cube discs. Even if I don't play them much, I want to experience the games in their original form from the 80's/90's without buying eBay consoles and games that are on their way out, are rare, and stop working.

Not sure if you've seen this already, but Google now has a viewable satellite picture surface of Mars. The map is very expansive, covers a good section of the planet, if not most of it. http://www.google.com/mars/ Search Olympus Mons for the largest mountain on Mars.

Yep, the fractions are just randomness, just my approximations of how many games will be available at launch. True about number 7, though they could make it so that instead of the bundled with games idea, you get so many games when you achieve a set number of stars from registering the Wii and games. (No idea what SD means, storage device?) Yep you play NES, SNES and possibly Game Boy games on your DS. Maybe a reason why Game Boy games were not functional on the DS, they were waiting for the Wii to be out and functional with the DS.

I am pretty sure that there won't be the full library out by launch. Maybe a quarter to a half of the N64 library, three quarters NES games, about 2 thirds SNES, and probably not a lot of Sega and TurboGraphx. Hopefully the full library will be complete by next Xmas at the latest. New VC wish list. 1. Game Boy Color and Classic games 2. Dreamcast and Saturn 3. Xmas, Easter and other occasions limited edition games that are Wi-Fi, and quite short. 4. Game and Watch games 5. Cheap and affordable library 6. SD cards to store the games on, and for play on your DS. 7. Stars Catalogue links to your Revolution Wi-Fi account so that you can buy games with stars 8. Games included with Wii purchases. 9. Multiplayer N64 games playable on Wi-Fi 10. Games bundled on system.

I wonder if the Game and Watch series will be downloadable for the Virtual Console...
-
I had the Collector's Edition but leant to my friend. Unfortunately he's had it since last year, so I'll get it back on Monday to play MM and hopefully complete it before I get the Wii (although I can carry on on the Wii).
-
But thats about 8GBP (pound button on my computer won't work) per game. EDIT: Just wondering if I get Majora's Mask or Ocarina on the VC, a possibility is that you will be able to carry on from your GC memory card from the Collector's Disk or Master Quest Special Edition. That would be cool.

No one is going to buy a lot of games from the VC at $15, unless they were rich. I don't think Wind Waker would be free with TP though, unless you wanted to pay about a tenner more for the game. I'd prefer it to come bundled with Tetra's Trackers or a ported Tingle RPG.

THis has been hinted at several times, and I am starting to be believe that some Virtual Console games will be released with Wii games, for instance with Smash Bros, get the N64 version bundled with it, along with something like Punchout. Buy Mario 128 and get a little collection of old Mario Bros. games. You get the idea. Also use this thread for other theories of the Virtual Console. My list of game bundles. Super Smash Bros. Wii - Super Smash Bros. 64 and Punchout (NES?) Donkey Kong Wii - Donkey Kong (NES/Arcade) and Donkey Kong 64 Super Mario 128 - Mario Bros. Collection The Legend of Zelda Wii - ANy one of the old classics I also think that promos will be available for certain times of the year, like get a short Wi-Fi Zelda/Mario/etc. puzzle game (kind of like Wario Ware) that you can keep at Xmas when you log in. Game trading is also a possibility if you want a different game without buying, and would be quite convenient.

So, you in other words Rokhed, talking about the old show all the time?

I don't think ANYTHING has been said about TP's place in the timeline as of yet. Nintendo sites and NGC just guessed that it causes the great flood of Hyrule. But then something has to happen to drain Hyrule again if other games take place after the Wind Waker, so there must be a major chunk missing between WW and the game after it. My theory now is that the timeline will all fall into place during TP. Shigsy said this game will change all the following games, and I think Link will be told of his destiny and ancestors, descendants and so on. In order. Or a sidequest of the game is to find out what order the timeline goes in.

Name A Game You Should Play Before Wii.

Q4 2006, but maybe earlier. My guess is October. -
AS nice as Cadbury's is, Galaxy all the way. It's just more expensive.

According to NGC a Link to the Past was centuries after adventure of link. Four Swords must have been quite early, few years after Minish Cap for my reason of the Four Sword origin. I think Phantom Hourglass is a direct Wind Waker follow up, but maybe Wind Waker is just a few years after Ocarina because Navi returns. UNless Navi doesn't age or die. TP may be before Ocarina which would explain the origins of Dark Link.

Yeah, enjoy the Wii Tim, since no one else can (apart from that lucky person who won an E3 ticket! GAR!)

Yes read my last post. Kirby Adventure has not been moved to the Wii because otherwise we would have seen Wii's graphics already, there were screenshots. I highly doubt Kid Icarus for the Cube, that's in development for Wii. I've rethought Ice Climbers, because if it's like the one on Smash Bros. then it will be more interesting flicking the controller up to make them jump, rather than pressing up. I don't think Pilotwings is coming to the Cube, that was confirmed years ago, then cancelled by developers, and apparently Hudson are making a Wii version. Metroid Prime 3 is a Wii game according to http://www.game.net
