Well okay, say for example... the Sims 2 (relatively modern game yes?) I have a £700 laptop with a 8600M GT graphics card. It can be quite laggy at times, and also takes a while to load up (I mean not a stupid amount of time but a considerable gap between it and my £600 desktop) Also the given fact of vista - it whores ram. I have 3gb, and half of it is used with MSN and FF running. Not necessarily a bad thing (better using ram than pagefile right?) but when you take into consideration that integrated graphics require space in the ram, it changes the whole perspective. Also integrated graphics cards wont actually allow you to run some games at all.

Cause they are more process intense yeah, maybe, but its still a problem. Could cause your whole system to die. If its not a major fan...ie not the cpu/graphics, you could *probably* get away with it for a while... I had a PC that didn't have enough fans, and while it worked, it just liked to restart, or BSOD quite frequently. If it is the cpu fan you could be in for trouble sooner rather than later. Try downloading a temp monitoring program, or use the one that came with your motherboard, see what the temps are like.

My day was rather meh so far. I was at work, nipped down to the kitchen, and I come back with a girl taking much joy (like she does, taking joy in my "misery") in telling me that the phone rotation has changed... Which basically means my phone is first to ring. Basically we have a really stupid-ass phone system, which goes to one phone first, then the second only when the first is engaged. So if you are forth or so in the line you take like maybe 5 calls all day, sometimes even none. And the first person generally takes the majority. I think I took 80% of the calls today It usually annoys me a lot, but I was kept busy and the day went in a bit quicker.... My friend also tried to entice me into some sort of gambling thing or other.. when will people learn, gambling only causes misery >_> Also my workmates were all like "ew another piercing that's stinkin!!!!" etc etc. GET A LIFE PEOPLE.
