  1. I'm finally feeling normal again :awesome:

I'm getting a little pissed off with all this medical stuff. My dermatology nurse contacted me directly when they found out I was in hospital, and kinda told me off for not getting in touch with them. But its a bit like... hey... I saw 3 different GPs and not one of them told me that it was *critical* that I stopped the meds I'm on. As in it would have exacerbated the infection enough to give me sepsis and possibly be fatal....

Great faith in the NHS, yo

  2. I think the only good thing about being really sick is that I have a lot of spare cash this month... yay :D

Usually my account is down to about 400 after bills and a bit of spending, but for some reason its well over 1000!! Yay!

  3. Ended up staying in A&E overnight last night.

Painkillers, IV drips, 3 courses of IV antibiotics, blood tests, and a lovely sudden onset fever which left me sweating all night..... exactly what you want to be doing on a Friday night. :(

I'm starting to feel better though :)

  4. I got an adult passport at 23 and it was a nightmare, you have to go for an interview to make sure you are who you say you are.... They asked me what my last bank statement was, who the person was that signed my photo, my parents DOB's oh and asked me to list my direct debits from my account. o____o

I'm confused about the pun... lol

My throat feels like its on fire :(

Welcome back Raining! Sorry to hear about the tonsillitis!

We need to start up a Minecraft server again, I'm sure that would clear it right up! :p

    MINECRAFT 10char

  5. Funny enough my boss had travel insurance, was sent to a private hospital when he had an accident (sandals on a scooter, nearly ripped his smallest toe off) and he ended up having to pay it himself....

    Whats the point?

Most insurance providers would decline me for life/health insurance because of my many health problems... Thank god for the nhs lol

  6. Miaow.

I moved out on my owns about 3 months ago. Landlord has allowed me to have a cat. Huraaaahhhhh. Going to pick one out after christmas. Wee special needs one or FIV/FLV so it can stay inside. :) (i live near a massive dual carriageway)

Murr, your cat is adorable :)

  7. I flipped the bucket big style when i found out he got back with his ex, after dumping me for no fault of mine. He was going through whatever blah blah blah. Heard from a few friends that he was having a really bad time at the moment, thought as I knew what only I knew, I should show a bit of kindness & see if he needed help. Added him on facebook. Never got a response until i messaged him. In the meantime he posts this:

I'm the ex circled in red, druggy bitchface is the ex circled in black

bad fuckin holiday my ass, I was a 5* fucking round the world trip compared to the druggy ex who treated him like shit n stole his money lol

oh and also - there is one fucking thing I hate about the internet - when people air their dirty laundry on it. Really was this even neccesary........

  8. On the living with people topic..... So so glad I live on my own. Not in the biggest of places - 1 bed flat, but the bedroom is a good size and so is the one living room/dining room area. But my stuff is mine and no fecker steals it. No one wastes my electricity but me :heh:

On another note - my life is in a really good place, but the emotional side is a complete train wreck. I really need a hug and a box of kittens :(

  9. In the past 3 months I have spent all but £500 of my savings..... (probably about £4000)

Moved out of parents house. New bed, cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine, sofa, dining room table and chairs, and all the random shit you don't realise you need until you're like HEY I HAVE PIZZA AND NO PIZZA CUTTER lol..... Life is expensive!

And I have POWER TOOLS yayayay :D

  10. Back in singledom again... woooooo... I'm a disaster, right? 2 failed relationships in a year :D AHAHAH. I ended this one though, he was a nice person, but we just had nothing in common, whatsoever. (and our sex drives were poles apart, which really didn't help matters)

I'm having complicated feelings for a friend, someone who I met online 10+ years ago, and only met in person very recently. He initiated the meeting, and diverted his course of work to stop in with me, so it was a secret from his girlfriend. I was a bit reluctant but let it happen as I knew I was not letting anything sexual happen & its not my place to get involved in what he does with his girlfriend.

    Bah, people are complicated :(

  11. We finally got our own house, kinda, got accepted for a council house so not 100% "ours" still renting but rent is dirt cheap :D

Got electricity and gas sorted yesterday and been all over all sorts of shops looking for flooring (getting put down Wednesday), furnature, fridge, cooker etc, beds, TV's (that's every bit of savings I ever had gone :heh:)

Early today started thinking I need to get a phoneline and broadband sorted, brought up an old landline I had and plugged it into wall to see if there was an active line, it was, sorted, rang my own mobile number so I could find out what the number of the landline was, got it. Took that number and stuck it into the Eircom website to see about getting their Fibre and then it comes up "Sorry Fibre not availble in this area"....WTF???? if you look at the town on the map it says "Yeah this town has Fibre" it fails to mention that there may be some places without it :(

The product available in the area is "up to 24MB" which means I'll likely get about 8-9MB :heh:

Ah well better than nothing and I survived fine on that kind of speed before last year. Hopefully they'll have extended the fibre up to the new place soon.

    #firstworldproblems

But other than that little bump in the road can't wait to have the house sorted and moved in :D

Met the neighbours today too, by a stroke of coincedence on one side is one of my sons classmates in playschool :)

Dunno if this helps, but I started renting in a place & they quoted no fibre availability. Got an internet connection installed and magically I now can get fibre. Fibres attached to your cabinet/exchange so it doesn't apply to individual homes persay.

on that note - good thing for me, I'm less than a mile away from the main cabinet in Ballymena, & i'm getting 15mb broadband... yeeehoooo.
