So there are headsets being sold, and on official Nintendo documents it says you can put pics and headsets into the jack. Surely Reggie just confused matters with his reply about online and you can do both. Surely!!!!

Completely understand, and most would agree, I still get annoyed thinking about how amazing Pikmin 3 Bingo Battle online would be, in fact I wrote an article about all the stupid missed opportunities nintendo made about online. I get that. But in this instance, I really don't think it's relevent at all. But because you're obsessed with online you want it to be a part of everything! And when I say obsessed, I don't mean in a negative/attacking way, just that it's what you bring up all the time. Though saying that you do attack nintendo almost daily about online and voice chat True, but then if they didn't show split screen I wouldn't think that was bad either. Also if they showed someone on their own voice chatting with their mates and then taking it away and meeting up with said mate I wouldn't object to that either. I guess I just think it's a great ad which shows brilliantly why the switch is awesome. And you did see the guy on the toilet yeah?!

Mate, you obviously are obsessed with online, I don't think there'd be anyone on here that would say you wouldn't you and voice chat have become synonymous. It's not a bad thing, it's important to you. But you're kidding yourself if you don't think so. As for everything you say, it's all true, but not relevent at all. This advert is about showing you can play anywhere with the nintendo switch. It successfully does that. Them showing you can play online with friends, which you've been able to do with Mario Kart for over 10 years is pointless and wouldn't remedy any of the issues you point out.

@kav82 I genuinely don't think it should've stated it has online, if it did, fine, but I don't, I think everyone knows it'll have online, or they won't care. I also don't think it's the point of the advert, the point is the play anywhere. You are crazy obsessed with online

Exactly on all counts, we know it will have online so why mention it? In that regard, i think 8 player local is a better feature, also one the competition doesn't have. But yeah, the hyrbrid is why this thing is incredible, they just need to keep ramming it home. I think all their adverts are really good!

Probably yeah, as long as it's not like Wii U Mario Tennis where you can't play with friends... Saying that, I don't know if I can justify getting this so close to Switch; will I really play it with having Zelda, Bomberman and my whole library of VC games on such a nice portable screen...?!

But a portable GTA 5, even if in some areas was "weaker" would still be really impressive and offering something that's never been offered before. Also, and this relates to something me and @Hero\-of\-Time was talking about in the "other" board, but all the adverts Nintendo have made so far have been really focussing on portable play, even the initial reveal trailer was; so even though they say it's their next home consoles, they are marketing it as a portable. Which I think is right; it's what is most impressive about it; it's more incredible the more I think about it. A handheld which can handle breath of the wild, Mario kart 8, splatoon etc. It's ridiculous when you think about it!

I don't think I've mentioned this before, but that guy is such an obnoxious dick!! Some of what he says I do like, and I actually quite like the way he talks about things - like the pie chart analogy. But, Tim Gettys is why I watch them, dont' know why but just really like him, he has such a childlike manner about him; quite endearing. And even in this when Colin was speaking I'd say something to counter and then Tim would jump in with the same thing. They all have good points, ultimately we don't know how it'll pan out. But even though his excuse ended up being well nintendo are talking about it as a home console, isn't their point to look beyond that and join not referencing 3DS sales when he was talking about the declining sales was utterly only using eveidence to support his view. The great thing about Switch is it is the merging of their handheld and home console, and I don't care what nintendo are saying currently, you have to factor in the 3DS success when using their past machines as a way to criticise them. Interesting though.

Anouma said a new game he'd have hd rumble puzzles and such, which could be amazing. But this is no surprise, I guess more subtle uses would've been nice, like an arrow moving from the bottom of the controller to out of it (presuming it can be this detailed); and getting hit from different directions affecting different areas of the pad.

I ordered both straight away so I didn't make a silly mistake. Phew! Coloured all the way (but I am buying extra grey joycons anyway so doesn't really matter) Imagine being @david\.dakota who has bought two switchs and BOTH are grey! What a gimp!

The game is blatantly coming along with all the other version. Rightly so I think. Although personally I'd love one straight away, I think it being at the same time, hopefully as well featured as the other versions would put it in the best position for success. EA will be looking for any excuse not to bother with it. I'm certain you said there were loads of surprises for the presentation, and particularly 3rd parties. Didn't you? Bomberman was a wonderful thing (though the biggest surprise was the price). But come on, 3rd parties are currently worryingly limp!

Well considering he "heard" 3rd parties were going to have surprises at the switch presentation I wouldn't put too much stock into it

Not at all. Nintendo is a pure game. It has a hub world you can wander around and meet miis of your friends and people all over the world. It not live. The game is pretty much a mini game collection which shows off everything the game pad can do. It also has some of the greatest local multiplayer games imagainable and some great experiences alround.

Ah okay, well we'll definitely hear about that beforehand, Reggie said so didn't he in the interview? I think this information is what the heck is this app and how that works, how much does it cost etc. I think... Is it huge? Don't we all presume it'll be somewhere between 20-40 a year? I mean it's not going to be some stupid figure... I think the 'value' is the most important thing. Other than it being stupid, what are people quite this upset about? Just general - nintendo still not communicating/messaging properly and being frustrated by them and not trusting them; or specific details about online? I mean, we'll be able to play online; probably have to wait until late summer/autumn to get the voice chat, free game and such. We don't know the details of pricing and how it works precisely, but we kind of know. Personally, I want to know what's going on with VC, past purchases and accounts more.

Nintendo must realise the lack of information is maddening to people. Even if they said - online will play will be available at launch, at the end of march we will reveal the pricing and ful details of our new online service; I think we'd take that more. But vague "after launch" poses too many questions, when they need to be giving us answers. Same with VC and accounts. I bought excitebike, started playing it but stopped thinking just maybe I could play it on my switch... We just want to know! This thing is blatantly a soft launch, and if they can sell out while doing it, amazing, build up ready for xmas. With their online, I presum it's free because there won't be loads of games, but for them to have the confidence in charging, they must have quite a lot of online games coming up!!

Tomorrow coporation have just announced world of good, little inferno and human resource machine are all launch titles.

I presume playing online will all work but not the voice chat and stuff. A bit bonkers
