But it isn't blind loyalty is it, doesn't have to be the other extreme. I would say being a bit down on Zelda after all the hands on and reports and what we've seen is blind negativity personally. Jumping to the absolute worst possible version of most stories/situations is blind negativity. As for rushed. Maybe. I don't think something not being ready means it's all been rushed though as such. Also there's quite a few games int he launch period, I think this is more by design too, not because the games aren't there; by all accounts Mario is done. I think it's because they want to load up the autumn more when their big sales is going to be. Same with online, there isn't many online games until late summer; so they can't charge for it until then; but why release the features when if they hold them back it makes a bigger impact for actually paying for them when they release it? Maybe maybe. I can see the business sense in ramping up for the autumn and holding stuff back. Big launch sales, steady sales until the autumn with a mad explosion. Maybe stuff isn't ready. But the machine itself all looks incredibly impressive so that bit hasn't been rushed (cue someone jumping in with the joy con disconnection issue ) Don't know, maybe it's the worst rushed, doesn't feel rushed, feels staggering controlled in my opinion. The messaging, the presentations, the marketing, the releases - all feels very precise and carefully planned. Not a mad panic ARGH!!!!! Yeah I did listen to it, may stop again, I know I've defended him, and I do think he's got a lot of great stuff to say; but Greg dominates every single conversation - whoever recently played it is, whatever news item, whatever listener question - he dominates everything!!

Rushed why? It's crazy how down on Nintendo you've become. Even the insane positivity surrounding Zelda can't bring any Nintendo light back into you

I don't think people mean it as in not sell as much, more in the fact that this time is not the typical time to release a console, it'll sell out anyway in the first few months; then after that build up the services and features ready for an even bigger push in the autumn when people are really looking to buy this stuff. Like you say the marketing is amazing, gets it into peoples minds about the system, it feels like a big new product; that could be hard to get, particularly in US and Japan. But I also don't think no VC, no Browder or media app will affect that. Seems to be me it's also about messaging, being really really clear. No outlets will be talking about how well it plays media apps, or talking about the virtual console etc Or even the touch screen or anything like that. But about Zelda, 12 switch, the other smaller games, and the device itself. Then slowly add in all those other things which add quite a lot of complexity to the message and what it offers.

It makes a lot of sense, it'll sell well straight away, virtual console will not help this at launch. With arms and Mario kart coming in the first couple of month, maybe launching it around May could be good?! Personally, I'd dump every single NES game on the service they have, just dump the lot and let people buy whatever, people don't care about them. Then the usual drip feed, but maybe at a faster rate. And obviously introduce Gamecube, and it would be amazing to introduce seas consoles, Neo geo, go even crazier and whack in Jaguar and the Cdi Zeldas

Although an extra set of coloured joy cons is tempting, a £5 saving probably would't make me do it. Bizarre Nintendo don't have preorders up for it...

Nando was Liverpool too. They were good games, but I also don't think it would matter who the teams were

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

That's fair enough, but it's still not how I remember it. It may have reviewed well, but it didn't have this hype I mean; the hands on is very different. People don't like Skyward Sword because of the motion controls in the main, a lot of the reviews say it's revolutionary because of the motion controls. A lot of people don't like them. Personally I loved Skyward Sword, it's incredible. If Fi shut the fuck up I'd barely have anything negative to say about it. This though feels different. The hype, what people are saying about it, it feels very very different. -
If you got your arse kicked by @nekunando maybe it's best we don't play each other

That's just not how I remember it at all... -
Pfft. Anyways. I've got the taste now if anyone else fancies a game.
-
I'll give you a game now if you want? Can't voice chat as my toddlers asleep and I'm next to his bedroom
-
Sorry, I meant the joy con bundle. If it's buy joy cons get this for free or a five or something I'll wait; of not I'll pay the 17.99 at launch for this!
-
I really want to know the price of this... I want this at launch, but if it's a bargain, like FREE, then I'll wait.
-
I'm buying it, multiplayer bomber man will be great! And likewise, great to see it return, let's have versions of micro machines, worms, NBA Jame and fuck it sensible soccer!!!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I don't want to watch anything I don't think. But in general what're people saying, is it all immense praise? Any niggles here and there or anything? -
Haha, talking to the wrong man. I DID disagree with AVBs sacking and thought he was given a bad deal. Our best players were sold in both transfer windows he was with us. So, your point doesn't quite land.
-
Was going to say something similar. I'm gutted, sightly annoyed, but it's not a huge deal. For me, I also think this is obviously a soft launch, and they're gearing everything up for a big autumn splash with the paid online service, probably browser more apps, virtual console etc.
-
And I couldn't be happier. I was just annoyed he played such a strong team. But it's an atrocious competition with far far far too many games. Plus we don't have the squad for challenging on three fronts. Now we can focus on winning the fa cup and finishing 2nd But you're Leiecester. This is not far off your level, and he won the league last season and deserves to finish the season, especially until you're out of the champions league at least, he got you there. Unless there are private reasons, it's disgusting on every level.

I'm going to try and avoid everything. But I am curious to hear what people think of it. Risky thing to look for though... -
I guess so. But I just can't imagine there being many people whose purchase of the console is based purely on it being utterly incredible. Don't think that person would preorder and spend do much money on a device not knowing it's that good, but demanding it is or else they won't get it. Just can't see that scenario.
-
I can't imagine anything less curious... I don't understand the kind of person to buy a switch and Zelda purely on the proviso that Zelda is utterly perfect and if not cancel... I also don't understand the worry about the late embargo, all the reviews are 1st, this is 2nd, are all the games terrible? Or, is the Switch just happening at an infinitely more condensed time than we're used to in general? To presume it means bad news doesn't make any sense to me.
-
Still refuse to buy anything until we know what's going on with switch. Shame as I'd definitely get this! Two great games in 2 weeks!
-
But isn't 6 months extra time with it worth the £30 odd pound? I always think this when people say they'll wait for a price drop, I just think I'll easily get whatever value owning it well in advance.
-
They are really annoying. Also, I don't want to watch any more of this, seeing the puzzles for the first time is too important. The only thing I wouldn't mind knowing is what the single player is like and how it scales up to 4 players. Are there separate puzzles for each grouping?

Neon? thought you ordered two greys? At least you've sen the light!
