  1. Actually, we all know the best bit of music in the game... Audio
  2. As long as they didn't touch the music for Majora's Wrath then I don't mind if it's easier or harder.
  3. Full 360 degree camera control with the new 3DS, like in Wind Waker? Yes please
  4. How do you know that's what the community wants? I certainly don't. I couldn't care less if Splatoon doesn't even have an online mode. Maybe it's a vocal minority of people who will be buying the game that complain. I'm not trying to start an argument but just saying "the community wants voice chat so Nintendo has to give it to them" is a little simplistic. Maybe the reason Nintendo are so reluctant to put much effort into online is because they're in a position to know what percentage of users actually use it.
  5. It wasn't essential at EGX and from the looks of things people had a blast playing it. Might be essential for something like COD but Splatoon is pretty much just a free for all shoot em up. Can't imagine what kind of tactics people could want to discuss in a game like this but I guess I don't know about it enough to know.
  6. I'm just not that interested in online multiplayer gaming full stop, nor first person shooters. Give me a single player campaign any day. That's probably why I love Nintendo so much. I'll play Mario Kart, Smash or Splatoon online but it's not the be all and end all for me. And when I do go online, I prefer to not have anything bothering me over a headset at the time.
  7. I take your point but I personally wouldn't because I have zero interest in voice chatting during games.
  8. Much, but please don't turn into @Wii, calling PR reps clueless liars and 'hating' everything you're not keen on.
  9. Cringe. After a brief spell of positivity, we're back to moaning about voice chat as the be all and end of all of gaming and calling Nintendo lying c*nts. Greeeat.
  10. I absolutely loved it, that's why I kept going back to play it over and over again. I don't think it suits voice chat though. It's very different to other shooters like COD in that it's way way more chaotic, just none stop blast em up, that's why I don't think there will be any need to discuss tactics during the match. There's too much going on for that kind of thing, you need to fully concentrate on watching the landscape and obv shooting ink. I couldn't imagine speaking to people whilst playing, and even if I could I wouldn't have much to say. There's just no need IMO, it's too fast paced.
  11. Even if they didn't have any in-game functionality I'd probably still buy most of them. I do think Nintendo would sell more if they released them a bit slower, but I guess Smash necessitates a quick turnaround.
  12. I think a minority of users care about voice chat, and an even smaller percentage would allow such a trivial missing feature dictate whether they buy the game or not. I played it at EGX half a dozen times and not once did I feel the need to talk to my team. And they were stood right next to me.
  13. Nice collection! But it needs some Wonderful 101 goodness in there. Laying all the games out like that, you can easily spot the 1st party titles, so colourful.
  14. You keep scraping that barrel...
  15. £500 once all the Smash Bros ones come out. Talk about an eye opener...!!
  16. He still doesn't grasp you're paying for figurines first, game functionality as a bonus. It's getting so tedious.
  17. That's rich coming from the most insular poster on these forums.
  18. Having amiibo work across multiple games is a great move for Nintendo. Disney Infinity and Skylanders don't work like that. They do seem to have cut back slightly on that very good positive with this news though. At the end of the day only a few games will actually write data to the amiibo so it shouldn't be much of a problem, especially if Nintendo create a way to back up data to the console, which should be pretty straightforward. It also tempts people into buying more than just the one Link amiibo, which is an easy to understand business decision for Nintendo.
  19. I assume they're wanting to release all the Smash Bros amiibo before giving us other games' ones. No wonder they're rushing through them in that case. Captain Toad amiibos coming later in 2015 with a dozen DLC levels attached maybe?
  20. I like how the amiibo copy the Smash Bros poses. Does anyone have access to Nintendo's press centre for downloading their high res artwork? I'd love to take a look
  21. I would agree with you re: Pikmin 3 but for some reason the ending left me a little cold. Not sure why, it seemed a bit anticlimactic. The boss battle itself was great, but everything after that was a little short/meh...
