Let's face it, at worst the game is an 8/10. No one in their right mind is going to cancel their Switch pre-order because Gamespot gives it an 8.5.

Apparently the press embargo for the Switch is up on the 23rd, maybe @Ashley can confirm. Edit: Previews up on the 23rd, Reviews up on the 1st Zelda though is up on the 2nd sadly. Then again, less chance for spoilers.

It's very easy to write an article that lists all the bad things about a consumer product. It's far more challenging and interesting to provide a balanced commentary, or at least hint at an opposing view. The headline is 100% clickbait.

Yeah I posted that YouTube video earlier as a counterpoint to Polygon's doom and gloom. The headline is pure clickbait. "Nintendo are repeating the same mistakes"... except for all the many, many things they've improved on since the Wii U. Apparently the joy cons are more comfortable with the straps attached. Bit more surface area helps and the shoulder buttons are probably easier to use.

Have you looked at pictures of the coloured straps? I think the neon joy cons look way better with black straps.

Yeah, the only reason to get extra straps is if you want them coloured. The packed in ones are black.
