  1. New Super Luigi U is live at midnight on Thursday. £17.99
  2. Not bad this week...not good either Mario Bros - £3.49 Wrecking Crew - £3.49 Both Luigi focused though
  3. What I'm saying is that it's easier to get around the issues with a racer
  4. Mario Kart, as a racer, uses the system which I mentioned earlier. As you're essentially just going forward, it extrapolates in times of latency in order to make it appear non laggy. It's why it seems jolty sometimes as it's been doing that, but the person did something it didn't expect
  5. Just watched the Bonus Round from GameTrailers. Seriously, what is wrong with these gaming journalists? They say Nintendo should go on mobile? Do they not realise that mobile cannot properly do the games Nintendo does. How can you do a 3D Zelda or 2D Mario on a pure touchscreen platform. They also negate the fact that if they were to go third party, they'd have to scale back their output. We'd never get the smaller franchises again As a journalist, it sickens me that they ignore facts just to follow their agenda. Yes, I admit I am a big Nintendo fan, but I do point out when they screw up and they DID NOT screw up. They provided the heavy hitters, as they promised, but no...people wanted other heavy hitters, ones that don't actually bloody sell. They also complained that too much was known beforehand, well guess what...that also happened on Sony and MS's conferences, with less than a handful of games being announced there. The "I love Nintendo games but I'm not buying a third console" thing is just ridiculous, as well. I wish I was there just so I could bring the facts to people -_-
  6. I have to wonder, if the Developer Directs were part of the E3 Direct, similar to how developers present the games at MS and Sony's conferences, would people have been less disillusioned?
  7. It'd be incredibly tricky and result in some issues. If all players don't have top notch connections in Ratchet & Clank, things start going south. Nintendo doesn't want any part of their game to appear subpar, surely you can see the logic in that?
  8. Today's picture of the day is from the 3DS game
  9. The 8 directional stuff is a misnomer, as I noted earlier. It's not 8 directional, but it snaps you. If you look at the videos, you'll see it's not exactly 8 directional. Besides, Super Mario 3D Land had this and I never even noticed Technical limitations are actually a major factor. Those games have extrapolation, and it shows. I've played LBP online and it's not as smooth as they'd like. I have a degree in Internet Technologies so I know full well the capabilities of these things. The level of interactivity Nintendo puts in these games is more than the games you listed. Don't get me wrong, I want it online as well, but I know exactly why it's not. Latency would kill these things
  10. Not at the level you desire. Look at Pikmin, for just two player online, it'd have to track up to 200 individual Pikmin in realtime running independently, not to mention the enemies etc. That much data being transmitted and sent constantly will cause issues. In this circumstance, the level of interactivity between the players, the environment and themselves would result in latency issues again. Most games, such as racers and first person shooters get over this through extrapolation to determine direction, speed etc. which is why if things are a bit laggy, you'll see people jump about. With games such as Mario, things need to be in severe real-time and even the slightest bit of latency would destroy the experience, and that is not what Nintendo wants people to see with their titles
  11. Online mechanics are not as simple as many believe. There are reasons why this game, Pikmin 3 etc. are not online. It's just not as feasible. Besides, local is better
  12. Villager wanted to visit my house at 12:30...I went there at 12:05 since I had work to do and left 3DS open while doing work...12:30 hits, villager didn't appear. Went to find them and they said I weren't there. Tf?
  13. A house is being built right where I planted my perfect pear tree Not happy
  14. Am I the only one who still manages to kick arse despite being hit by several blue shells in a race?
  15. Grinding sharks and seahorses...great cash
  16. I won mine too Bit annoyed that Isabelle still won't let me do any renovations on the town, though
  17. Blue Shells are good fun...they just need to be less common and less damaging
  18. The Gamecube footage is from the second quest of Wind Waker, which lets you play in Link's Outset clothes, and has Aryll in her Pirate outfit from later in the game
  19. Well, technically there is in that the characters you have in the 3DS version can be customised and then sent to the Wii U one, so maybe that's why?
  20. Nintendo have made a video for you worrying about camera etc Right Stick & Gyroscope control
  21. To have a portable Smash Bros you can enjoy, and a HD Smash Bros you can enjoy?
  22. Nothing wrong with 2D Zelda. My fear when OoT came out was that we wouldn't see any more ever again. Now we do, with 3D models so I'm happy
  23. Getting the approval rating up is such a pain. Done so much and yet still at 50%
  24. There's a slight misnomer going around that this game only has 8 directional movement. Technically true, but very untrue. It's like Super Mario 3D Land where control is analogue, but it snaps you into a direction (not just 8 of them) to give you more precise control
  25. Just a small 5 room cave under Outset Island would be nice
