  1. Yeah, I know it's just a minor inconvenience, but the GamePad removes that and that's what I like. It's something so inanely simple but it works so well
  2. I'd check in 90 minutes
  3. I think they clearly wanted to surprise us with this.
  4. That's fair enough, but I feel that it is really useful. It saves time, especially as the pause screens on AC3 take a few seconds to load up the map etc. Plus I like decluttering the main screen. It's these simple features that made me fall in love with the GamePad, not anything that changes gaming as a whole.
  5. The notice saying it's up is up. The game itself, however, isn't yet. Told you guys something wibbley was going on :p
  6. Holy hell North America is charging $9.99 for Earthbound http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/82s5n1dbV4gstayVNhVYtOneSXTIXACS
  7. I dunno, having much of the HUD including maps and so forth onto the GamePad may seem like "oh that's such a lame use", but it's so helpful. Compare Arkham City and Assassin's Creed. On the Wii U, you can just look down and spot stuff. On the 360/PS3, you're just constantly pausing doing it. It streamlines the gaming process. Even when it's not used for something miraculously awesome, it does have its uses, even if they are lame. I tried playing Arkham City on my friend's PS3 after finishing it on the Wii U, and it just felt so cumbersome. I honestly don't get how people could enjoy it without the GamePad I don't know for sure, but I believe components have come to the point where they're breaking even on it now Deja Vu
  8. Just came to post that too lol
  9. In Japan, figures are 200Yen but in gachapon machines while the game was 1800 Yen In America, figures are $3.99, while the game is $18. Chances are figures will be £3 here and the game £15
  10. Todays picture
  11. I really don't get it. I vastly prefer Brawl to Melee. It had less clones than Melee too, barring the Starfox trio
  12. They will not ditch the GamePad. It is vital to the system. You may not like it, and there may not be massive innovative ways to use it coming out of Nintendo, but it NEEDS it. Trust me
  13. Out of curiosity, what are the rumoured "bad works"
  14. In Japan, no. In America and Europe, we're not sure at this point All the press people said to me was "Each figure will be sold separately and packed in a concealed capsule."
  15. Oh, that'd be very much appreciated if you can do that
  16. North America is getting all 18 figures, $3.99 each, exclusive to Gamestop
  17. It's not just that. Japan has turned into a very portable country. It's irrational to assume home consoles are going to do massive amounts because of this. They'll do moderately to decently, but they'll never set the country on fire.
  18. First party release calendar I can knock one up for third party (and all) if you want. I have nothing to do today
  19. I dislike hyperbole. It is not a dead console, far from it.
  20. Wii U is all week, but the promotion boost and the White Premium console came out on Saturdays. Pikmin and NSLU are two days. Everything else is 7 days except new games which are four Saying a console is dead is one of my pet peeves with people on the Internet. It's dead when nobody is buying it and no games are being brought for it. People ARE buying it, just not as many people as we'd like. Games ARE being brought out for it. At least one first party game a month for the rest of this year, and at least a dozen third party games, too
  21. Yeah they have Wonderful 101 on August 21st. I can imagine, especially after this, they'll be even more aggressive. They have to be. They also have Lego City next week, and Lego is fairly big there. Strangely though, despite that, Lego games haven't been released there so there's no frame of reference for how well it'll do
  22. The console isn't dead. It's just not setting the world on fire. Pikmin was never really a system seller. NSLU and the White Premium were also only tracked for two days
  23. Last week in Japan: 3DS LL 29,594 Wii U 22,199 Vita 15,662 3DS 13,841 PS3 12,698 PSP 5,830 Wii 1,434 Xbox 360 396 Pikmin 3 #1 with 92,720. NSLU #5 with 24,881. Could have been better, really. However, this was only over two days rather than the usual four for the Wii U/Pikmin push. Plus, hot holiday weekend.
  24. European release: August 15th
