  1. Thing is, with games like WaveRace, I can't see it getting a fullretail title anymore. Thankfully, the eShop provides an alternative, but that may mean a reduction in quality due to the perceived value in download games. It's a shame as it'd look absolutely gorgeous.
  2. Yeah, I'm the same. It takes an awfully long time to do it. It's ridiculous
  3. We've only had financial details from one fiscal year so far since then, FY3/2013. In that fiscal year, despite an operating loss, Nintendo hit a net profit and added to their warchest. They would have had net profit again this FY just passed but several one-time expenditures have caused a projected loss. Their Q1 through Q3 figures were much better this FY just passed than the two prior and were set at a Net Profit and very small operating loss. These expenditures come in the following $1bn on buyback of Yamauchi family shares. Family had to sell due to tax laws and Nintendo didn't want there to be a position where someone could buy them and gain control 15bn¥ one-time injection into R&D 8bn¥ one-time injection into marketing As such, they projected a 25bn¥ financial loss for the FY. Essentially covered by these.
  4. Pic of the day. Your character starts a Smash Run as a relatively ordinary fighter. But before the game, you can outfit yourself with certain items that can help power you up early, which will give you a big advantage later on!! These items are much like the Powers you'd find in Kid Icarus: Uprising. For those who are wondering what Smash Run is, check out the Super Smash Bros. Direct. You can find the link on the post two days before this one.
  5. I'd have thought that, if he was in it, he'd eat a power pellet, grow into a large retro pacman, and akin to Ganon, race through from side to side once, taking out anyone he hits
  6. Pac-Man, probably. Others? No. Sakurai has spoken out about putting too many third party characters in the game. I wouldn't expect more.

  8. That's a good design, but I'd keep the sensor bar. It's necessary for many things. Also, I do use the TV control bit :p Not sure about the home button position though. Seems like it'll be accidentally hit a few times.
  9. Oh god. So tempting.
  10. Nope, it's different Check Greninja's use of it here at approx. 1m 45s It's clearly its own 3D model. Unlike the food, the substitute is meant to react to the ground, to attacks etc. and move accordingly so an image like food doesn't fit.
  11. See, while I found the Direct hilarious, I don't think I'm going to get this game. It's really not the sort of thing I play.
  12. Yeah, totally not laying people off http://www.gamespot.com/articles/sony-layoffs-hit-driveclub-killzone-and-the-playroom-developers/1100-6418519/ Yes, Sony's rating got reduced, but that's only because they did some really drastic stuff. Stop losing context in your posts. Problem is that Metroid games don't sell well on successful consoles, let alone on flailing ones. That's why it's unlikely we'll hear it.
  13. Yeah, they've had one year of loss and are projecting their second. They've been expanding like crazy and they're nowhere near bankruptcy, but people continue to push it. Some have believed the various things and believe Nintendo have completely drained their finances. Conversely, Sony is doing well with the PS4 but is losing money, laying off people like crazy and is categorised as likely to go bankrupt soon. Yet people all think they're doing amazing. It's all about image, not about facts. Nintendo can't really afford not to have a conference, even though I find them pointless.
  14. This Direct is hilarious Miyamoto in love with Peach. Aonuma with Zelda, Shiabata with Samus
  15. Guarantee I'll get a large again. Thin guys never catch a break with gaming t-shirts
  16. They're very good. Always tweeting about new features of games, new game announcements, trailers of upcoming games etc.
  17. The vocal people are negative about Nintendo no matter what they do. It's not actually the majority of the opinions. It's just how the Internet works. The more vocal people are the ones who have negative views.
  18. True, but at the time it was revealed, it had been in development for well over a year, before the Wii U's issues occurred. As such, what would they do? Just can it and rush something?
  19. And nobody would notice it because it was just posted on a blog to little fanfare
  20. It'd be the same if they did it in a generic blog, though. The way they provide the information doesn't change the actual content.
  21. What "fans" want to hear are unrealistic expectations that make no sense. People go in expecting Metroid etc. to be revealed every time, when that's not logical. What actual fans want to hear, however, is often given.
  22. I argue that a stream with hype buildup is a better way than a run-of-the-mill blog.
  23. Yeah, it's a Pokémon move. It will take a chunk of the Pokémon's Hit Points and replace itself with that substitute to absorb hits
  24. And a second And a third
