  1. This is true, but those examples you list are increasingly becoming the exception as opposed to the norm. There's a really bad growing feeling that, due to patches, publishers feel they can push out an incomplete, unpolished game and just fix it with patches. Yes, Wind Waker had more content planned, but it really wasn't necessary. If I hadn't have been told that there were two further dungeons intended, I'd have never suspected. As for Pilotwings Resort, that's a quality question, not a polish issue. Pilotwings, although it wasn't the best game, was a well crafted game, technically speaking.
  2. I'd say around £10 is likely, but it is fairly recent (no moreso than the N64 was when the Wii N64 VC came out. That's a scary thought). The way I see it working is that you can have the games run a variety of ways TV Topscreen, GamePad bottom Both screens on screen in standard Both screens on screen in "book"
  3. His approach to game release is also very beneficial for the industry. Sure, Nintendo has lacked a bit of variety on the Wii U (about to change ), but the fact is that he is fine with delaying a game even if it damages the overall business, just to make sure it's a solid product. This is such a rare thing in the industry. More companies should have CEOs like Iwata so we no longer get travesties like Battlefield 4 and games that aim for running the best rather than looking the best at expense of frame rate/smoothness.
  4. Yeah. It's ridiculous.
  5. To be fair to the DS, the screenshots used in the before are blown up considerably from their rendered resolution. It's not that they look terrible, it's just at higher resolutions they look terrible
  6. I would be very surprised if there's not a Mario Kart 8 bundle by Christmas. For them to not do one now is a better business decision. That way, they get more money. If they bundled it with the console around launch, it'd hamper their revenue somewhat for the game as it'd be absorbed into the console cost.
  7. True. I'm not surprised at all this really. I mean the assets for Nintendo's titles on the Wii were much better than the Wii could output. That's why games like Skyward Sword, Super Mario Galaxy etc. look fantastic when rendered in HD on Dolphin.
  8. Yeah, it's five very vocal people on GAF :p I kid, I kid. I remember when Iwata was voted as one of the world's best CEOs. What a difference 5 years makes. I still maintain he's a great CEO. It's the board as a whole that faltered, not just Iwata. Can't scapegoat him. They're fully capable of making a bounce-back, people just need to realise that it doesn't happen overnight.
  9. Now now everyone. Let's not get into this. Let's go happy happy. Thoughts for E3?
  10. Contrary to popular belief, I don't believe that. :p
  11. That was good. I didn't realise that Rusty's Real Baseball was using the payment tactic Iwata referenced in January.
  12. I think it is possible. If they get M2 to do it like the GBA, then we'll get the option. Fingers crossed as they do look stunning.
  13. In those situations, it's still handy here and there. "Say, did you hear about _____". Simply bring it up on device. Though I hate tablets, it makes sense for phones. Obviously it's rude to just be sitting staring at it constantly.
  14. Na, it's not too much. It has become a tool to make us all feel a part of a larger world and to stay connected. It gets us up to date on the goings on. It also serves as a learning tool in helping children's brains develop logical puzzle solving as well as hand-eye co-ordination. Though of course I'd say that. I have to have my phone or laptop with me at all times. It's not too much until this happens I honestly don't get no computer days or people trying to cut technology out of their lives somewhat. It is vital to be a part of the world as it is today. Obviously, for kids, you limit the use somewhat, but as adults it's a necessity.
  15. Congrats on the shiny! Tyrantrum shiny is awesome
  16. Erm, we're classing Wonderful 101 as a Nintendo game because it's paid for by Nintendo and Nintendo owns the IP, not just because they published it. I may be wrong, but Sony actually only own Driveclub, The Last of Us, The Order: 1886 and Uncharted.
  17. I like playing Donkey Kong as Link, the idea of beating Bowser as Peach, going through a Mario level as Kirby etc.
  18. Na, NES Remix is different to WarioWare. Much different.
  19. Actually, The Wonderful 101 is Nintendo. It's Nintendo owned. It's a Nintendo IP. It was developed by Platinum, sure, but it's Nintendo. As much as inFamous was Sony's before Sony bought Sucker Punch in 2011, maybe even moreso.
  20. You didn't specifically say that Pocket Football wasn't original. You said it looked like a rip-off of another game, which I countered with facts. Don't try to change your argument in an attempt to disparage me.
  21. So we must discount all sequels? Ok. Also, Nintendo Pocket Football Club technically predates the game you reference. Nintendo Pocket Football Club, known as Calciobit in Japan, is a sequel to a game of the same name released on the GameBoy Advance in 2006. This sequel then was announced in 2011 fully and released in the middle of 2012 in Japan. The game you referred to appeared around the same time as this version was announced. This is the first time that this series has hit the west, however.
  22. Explain. I don't understand what you're trying to get at.
  23. Nintendo doesn't have less development teams, if anything they have more, and all EAD & SPD teams are capable of doing multiple projects at ones. Retro & Next Level Games, among others, less so, but Nintendo can do these things. Nintendo EAD Kyoto 3, for example, did The Wind Waker HD, A Link Between Worlds and Zelda Wii U at the same time...now they're just on Wii U
  24. How is a Kirby game Mario milking? Also, I'd love a 3DS Wario Ware. It's long overdue :p
  25. F-Zero GX HD. I'd day one that. Hell, they don't even need to improve textures, just have it render in HD and it'd still be godly and look better than 90% of games out there. Throw online on and godly. F-Zero GX was so ahead of its time.
