  1. Which they aren't doing, I might add. People seem to think that the endgoal of consoles is to get units out there. Well, yes, that is the main goal, but not at the cost of the entire company. Microsoft is still $6bn in the red cumulatively because of that. Sony lost the entire warchest they made from the PS1 & PS2 doing that. Why people want Nintendo to, I have no idea. Hell, people keep suggesting putting it at a price lower than PS3 & 360 are new. It's ridiculous.
  2. Yoshi & Peach Wii Remote Plus coming out on May 30th.
  3. Two special Nintendo UK Official Store bundles for £299.99 A Mario pack and a Luigi pack. Special Wii Wheel, Wii Remote Plus, GamePad case, Mario/Luigi hat and strategy guide with the Mario Kart 8 bundle No. It's the same price as normal: £249.99/€299.99 RRP.
  4. Bundle confirmed
  5. I never found Brawl to be broken. How was it?
  6. Ever consider the fact that it's not one or the other, but could actually be both at the same time? Simply something that tugs on nostalgia for the classic gamer and lures new people in. Aside from locale, A Link Between Worlds had no ties to A Link to the Past.
  7. Pic of the day. Yoshi's Egg Throw now leaves a rainbow trail, and we've improved the pose Samus strikes when she fires the Paralyzer. Every staff member is working hard as we brush up whatever we can.
  8. Mario Galaxy is as much a new player grabber as Zelda.
  9. That's bull. If Zelda did that, we wouldn't have the long tutorials that us classic Zelda gamers continue to whine about.
  10. Yeah, like the Developer Directs they did. Those were awesome.
  11. Nuts to that. 3DS is old. Wii U all the way! :p
  12. Advance Wars with the Wii U GamePad. Glorious
  13. Smash Bros is just throwing all your toys into a box, mixing them up, and having fun. An adventure game is a bit different.
  14. You're erroneously implying that Nintendo's "iterative" releases of the franchise are based on nostalgia, though.
  15. Na, I don't like crossovers like that. It doesn't fit or seem logical.
  16. Not yet. Don't see why they can't do both.
  17. There has never been a bi-monthly Direct without some sort of big first party announcement. I have had the feeling recently that they really are holding back on us for a huge E3 reveal and this furthers it. This month, though, we've had a load of content that would have fit perfectly into a Direct: -Mario Kart details & trailer. Yeah this came with hands-on previews, but trailer could have held off -Smash Direct. Could have existed separate with Greninja/Charizard in the Direct -Tomodachi Life localisation -Mario Golf DLC details -Inazuma Eleven 3DS localisations And various other small bits. There may be a Direct next month, but it won't be a big worldwide one. Things are being saved for E3...I can taste it.
  18. No, but its high software sales everywhere were heavily aided by the third parties.
  19. Not entirely true. Talking japan side Fire Emblem Awakening: Jp. Release: April 19th 2012 First DLC pack - Xenologue: Champions of Yore 1: April 19th 2012 (and more came weekly) Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Jp. Release: November 23rd 2012 First DLC packs, all November 23rd 2012 PokéForest, Ivy Park, Scalchop Beach, Pika Land, Mt. Travail, Skill Treasury (next pack came two weeks later)
  20. Ah, but the difference between DS and 3DS is that the 3DS has practically no third party support in the west, so is relying on Nintendo published content and so only those count.
  21. Day 1 DLC has existed on Nintendo properties before. Both Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and Fire Emblem Awakening both had it. I do agree though, this is the one issue I have it. However, I don't believe this content has been ripped from the game. Don't forget that even though it's day 1, the game would have been sent to testing back in January and marked as complete in March. It's fully feasible for two 18 hole courses to be designed and ready by launch, after work beginning when the game was sent for testing.
  22. Pic of the day. Don't eat him. You can't eat him.
  23. Which is a weird thing to say, seeing as they have. Just because they haven't capitulated to your views of games doesn't mean they haven't grown nor that they aren't diverse. This happened in the early 2000s too. It's quite common and runs in a cycle. The popularity of the 3DS and Pokémon proves that it's not completely gone.
  24. UK press release came We get a discount! Now that's doing it right
