For one, people in this very thread have said it. Second, again, the content wouldn't exist if not for amiibo.

Providing the amiibo content to everyone is a bit silly. Some amiibo content, as per the Smash stuff, isn't possible without amiibo and the rest is created to give amiibo further worth. To just give it as well would make amiibo pointless.

The content "locked" to amiibo on games is all content that wouldn't exist in the game without the amiibo so your argument is flawed. In no way is the game incomplete without amiibo. PLUS, if Nintendo did do that, the exact same people would be bitching. I mean hell, even Wii here was saying they should just not bother putting any amiibo content in games because of how "evil" it is. They'd use it as a vehicle to complain about locking content once more.

Hard to find ones are more easily purchasable. If people actually stood up away from the bitching to actually see this, then this shit would be over. Yes, some amiibo are hard to find, that doesn't mean Nintendo should stop putting content for the amiibo in their games until they aren't. That's not how it works and anyone who knows anything about the industry, like Jim Sterling, should know that, know that amiibo take a while to make, and shut the flying fuck up about it.

They didn't mention any of the games we know are going to be there, mentioned Splatoon, implied they would only have 3 games and commented on Zelda's delay, then spent half of it talking about MS and Sony. How is the single player virtually non existent? I understand you're only on Turf War at the moment because you're not Rank 10 yet, but the single player is most certainly not virtually non existent.

With the Nintendo Directs last weekend and now the announcement of Lucas' release, I'm getting massively hyped. With all the stuff they're showing not being in, many of which we assumed would be in, the Digital Event is going to be rammed with new content

Lucas is coming on June 14 Miiverse stage and Splatoon outfits coming same time
