  1. Nice job! How far did you get earlier?

Ok. You probably have medium or light strings in your ele, as opposed to the heavier ones in the acoustic, right? In other words, ele is easier to play... Well the best thing learning-wise is to attend a beginners' guitar class. A teacher will get you started and show all the basics you need...Should you not have the money or interest, you can always self-study through the internet as well. Might not be so convenient though...
  3. Well you didn't specify if this was for movies or games, so I'll go with this:

Hi drahkon, how long have you been playing? Just starting out? In regard to learning, trying to play along some of your fav tunes is a great way. Just play what you can, and try to nail the rhythm and the general feel of the song. As for the Hysteria main riff, you can start with just two strings: D---14 A---12 That's the basic power chord. Never mind the muted xs for now...You can also play just a single note, if your fingers will get tired. And yes, they do feel quite stiff at first. But no worries, flexibility comes just by playing...I don't think you have to worry about technical exercises at this point, as they can be pretty boring too. Just experiment jamming along some tunes and your stiffness will start to vanish automatically... Right, forgot to ask: what kind of guitar are you using? Electric, acoustic, classical? Heavy or light strings?

Well based on my personal experience, not at all. Like the lucidity and clarity of my dreams, hypnagogia also seems to go hand in hand with my level of awareness...i.e. heightened awareness resulting in both. Neither are very common experiences for me normally, but seem to become rather frequent if I have been meditating a lot or am meditating lying down in bed. Might be sounds, might be sensations...also, I remember a few times when my mind fell asleep while I was still fully conscious. Note that this was not at night, but in the morning or day...I think I had just meditated lying down on my back, and then turned to my right side. After a few minutes only, everything started to spin and then...I was inside a dream. Now that was interesting... You said that you could not sleep and were lying in bed...However, the body will start getting ready to sleep even if your mind might seem to be awake...So sounds perfectly plausible to me that you experienced just that. Especially if you were still and letting your mind just be... Yep. In my mind, a scientific mindset should also have room for uncertainty...and not label everything that cannot be 100% verified with current methods as impossible.

How about... HYPNAGOGIA Unability to move sounds like sleep paralysis as well...
  7. Good job Eenuh, extra points for that I've been wondering the same thing...a parent's strong reaction doesn't really help the child to accept whatever is being yelled at...just transfers the same (irrational) fear. Well still, that scuttling pic is adorable.
  8. Hmm...blood and blood vessels. And this is an odd one, because the circumstances leading to a reaction vary quite a lot. I don't think I've ever had a reaction from a movie or a video game, even though I really don't like excessive gore. Also, I'm fine with cuts and nosebleeds too...However, hearing a nurse describe a person with blood gushing from their neck...almost fainted. Same thing in biology class, but now with a video of human embryos. Those black eyes and bulging veins...Third case I remember was also biology or health class, this time with me imagining the blood pumping through my veins... It's quite rare for me to get these reactions, but there surely is a pattern here...Maybe it's the mental image of blood vessels that triggers a reaction, don't know...Still, I did try to induce the reaction once by thinking, but couldn't get such a strong one. Although, I was lying down, so that might've actually prevented it...
  9. Hmm, surprised that these haven't been posted yet: This has to be one of the most beautiful intros ever. Man and woman embracing and becoming one...then exploding into a sun of life. Just wow...Also, haven't studied French, but I really like the sound of it... And then...how much more badass can you get than starting your cartoon with a short version of Bach's Toccata and Fugue? Get chills every time I watch this...
  10. Well I'm glad...in both Emerald and Platinum, it felt like I was encountering some of the Pokemon for the umphteenth time. Too much repetition...

    Gym?

Good question. Did yoga today as well, felt a bit tired once again, though still did nearly the whole set without any problems. Part of this tiredness is probably because of my recent slump period: bad posture + too much time on the computer. Slowly trying to climb up from there... Indeed. When I started doing daily, full length practice last Autumn, went through all kinds of resistance coming just from my mind...At some point, it finally just went away on its own, with my desire to constantly think. So glad of that...In the end, I remember doing 2-hour yoga sets daily (minus 1 or 2 rest days per week), and no problem with energy. Turns out my mind was lying all along...It truly is a fine line with what you can do and cannot do...I guess the only way to find out your limits is just by testing. The mind will try to con you by various means, so don't believe everything it tries to sell you...
  12. Well screw your friends, it's your pizza...I've ordered cheeseless pizza in quite a few places, and no problems thus far. After all, it's not a hard request to fill, is it? Judging on some of the waiter reactions, haven't probably been the first one to ask for that either...Also, I don't think it's that weird anyway...just think of all the lactose intolerant people etc. Only once have I gotten a pizza with cheese on it, but even that was because of a new-looking employee who got half of my order wrong anyway
  13. Solution? Pizza without cheese. Works just fine.
