  1. Its all to to with dollar. Make them see the dollar.
  2. Apparently, Sumas refers to Metroids as spastics in the UK version of MP3.
  3. Is it really likley that Nintendo are holding a show? Honestly, by this point, most of the media would have received their invitations, and i'm sure stronger confirmation would have been found on the web.
  4. Krauser I found to reasonably easy. TMP to shoot his feet and then a swift magnum in the chops. IF I run out of ammo, the knife suffices. I found Parasite Salazar amazingly difficult - refused to get the rocket launcher.
  5. Proper voice acting seems to also be added for NPC's.
  6. i managed to complete it last night, at 4am much to the annoyance of my girl! I very quickly had a go on seperate ways, and Ada moves like a fox! The pacing of this game is superb.
  7. I liked the Echo Visor, can't remember the second visor - was it a trans-dimensional thingy-me-bob?
  8. We're all entitled to our opinions, but i know people who casually play games, and they'd admit it. I know people who play games 24/7 and are happy to be called 'hardcore'. Its not about being derrogatory or elitist, they're just simple handy terms to describe general gaming behaviours.
  9. At E3, Nintendo finally announced the long-rumoured WiiFit. Another example of Nintendo thinking outside the box and providing software for those who are not traditionally gamers. Much like Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, the software actually aims to have a measurable, real goal - improving your health. Its an aim that will appeal to parents, grandparents, and perhaps even those excercise-shy hardcore gamers..! Although Brain Training et al have come under fire for not being 'taditional' games and an example of Nintendo forgetting its hardcore fans, they've provided a valuable money spinner for the Big N - and WiiFit is likely to be no exception. So, here's the question - will you buy WiiFit for Wii?
  10. 1080: Avalanche on Gamecube. A superb game, definately one worth tracking down if you can.
  11. Its an XBOX 360! My Wii has been on since 4AM 8 December 2007. I've, so far, had no problems (touch wood), but if I notice anything it'll be straight back to Nintendo (sod's law, my Wii goes down the day before Metroid Prime is released!). Hopefully this is a mminor issue with a handful of Wii's, otherwise we may be looking at another 360 mess.
  12. Damn Americans. Damn Resident Evil Remake. Eternal Darkness was not a big seller on Gamecube (which arseholes chose not to buy this game?!). Its sold reasonably well in Europe, but failed to win an audience in the States, possibly due to the perceived similarities between it and RE Remake (although the games are quite different) and a lack of advertising by the Big N. This is probably a big issue with resurecting the franchise - where would it sell more? Wii? Xbox 360 or PS3? Silicon Knights are also keen on horsepower which would discount a visit on Wii. That said, even if the Too HUman trilogy os release of three years, we'd be near the end of this gen, and Nintendo may be planning a HD machine.
  13. Agreed. Looks stunning.
  14. Mario Galaxy look downright amazing. The more I see of it, the more its clear this game is going to be the Revolution.
  15. If you look through your instruction books, Nintendo seem to refer 480i as ED/HD. Its been commented that Wii CAN support HD visuals, however, this comes at the expense of framerates which drop to terrible rates. Miyamoto has gone on record a couple of times to say that Nintendo would create a HD console in the future, and thats a no-brainer. Perhaps upscaling is an option in the future for Wii, but expect a new consle for Nintendo HD.
  16. I never listen to anything but the game music. I'm sure Kondo would be rather insulted if he heard people were listening to Oasis while playing Ocarina of Time.
  17. Where was the disk split on the GC version?
  18. The debacle of Mario Party 8 has led me to consider exactly what Nintendo do for localisation. In the UK, we receive American English games - alongside 4 other languages (the translation of which consistently slows down the European release). So, given that in the Uk we're usually happy to read our text in American Bastardised English, why don't Nintendo Europe allow a swift UK release, without any translation into Italian, French and whatever else.
  19. Hubba, hubba, hubba! Its great. Its one of my favourite games of last generation, and definately worth hunting down. The levels are brilliantly designed, controls are spot on (although the vehicles do have some weird physics going on - likely to stop you getting jammed in scenery, just takes a little getting used to) and the challenge is superb. A thinking action game.
  20. Didn't the Chozo place the Metroid Prime in the Impact Crater as a deterant for any species trying to exploit Phazon?
  21. And get shot of that bloody triforce treasure hunt. We've had a Zelda fix on Wii, is there any reason to get a new Zelda out so soon. I'd not actually mind if the next Zelda appeared on the next Nintendo console - its only 5 years away!
  22. Glass floor, perhaps? Double Dash is the weakest link in the MK series, without a doubt. I don't think many can argue otherwise. It has some dudd tracks, and the two-racer mechanic just seems gimicky . That said, I still find it enjoyable and thoroughly entertaining - and thats what counts . Just because its the worst in the series, doesn't necessarily mean its the worse game ever.
  23. All you really need to know about Dark Samus is that she was created from Phazon in Prime, and has some super dooper powers. That could be reasonably well explained during MP3 with a cut scene or two.
  24. No, no, no... F-Zero GX was a good looking game no matter your speed. The game really pushed the hardware to the limits.
  25. To be fair, it'd be a PR disaster for Nintendo to have not recall the game. However, is there any need for the PC brigade to continually create new offensive words - whats wrong with the word Spastic exactly? I thought it was hillariously used in The League of Gentlemen! Oddly, however, no one has told the marketing department that the game's been recalled... i've just seen an advert on Channel 4.
