Constructive arguments only please: I don't really know if I'll be able to get enough money to buy either of these whilst having a Wii at the same time, but after playing on these consoles they offer quite a lot of stuff Wii doesn't, and keeping with Nintendo systems has its downfalls. I don't think I could sell my Wii, but the first party offerings don't seem enough now. Whenever I look on the shelf for PS3 and 360, it seems they have a large amount more on offer. Having played the 360 and PS3 recently, I really like both, but I'm not certain on which is better, although at the moment I'm rating the PS3 more than I did before. Factors include the downloadable content looking better, and also a couple of franchises I know about, I'm a fan of Tekken, Metal Gear and I've played the Haze demo which stunned me. Thing is I don't really know the specifics and exactly which features are better on one console, although apparently online is better on 360. If you could give your arguments for and against both consoles that would be good, but please exclude price issues because that one I'm not worrying about that for now, I'd just like your opinions on the better machine. Cheers.

^ Which site are you looking at? Play-asia? I'll buy it for $30 - please.

I am deciding to import this, as I think it will be be worth putting in the Freeloader to gain the viewing superiority. I was put off by the comparisons. Hopefully the few spoilers I've seen and heard about won't kill it for me. Can anyone give me word on the controls: Is there enough variety in what you do to keep busy or does it get repetitive and mashy? The game looks really good and I'd just like to hear what the core-gameplay is like. Cheers.

Yeah, can't remember who has the funny sig containing that scene, but it's quality.

It's a shame seeing all of these games going to waste. I think most games if uncompleted are a waste of dosh. Thing is, once you stop playing a game, it can be extremely hard to get into it again, and that is the big killer of games like Metroid. I found them interesting enough to beat all 3, but I guess some don't feel like making it to the end. Only GC game i didn't complete was F-Zero.

I think the DK Jungle Parkway is the best retro course, it's really challenging and has pretty much everything a Mario kart circuit needs. The pipeline one is also good. Many of the choices are questionable though.

Sorry I got pissed off then. I just cringe when I see someone make a thread really early just so they have the right to it. It wasn't really necessary. I'll leave.

May 22nd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPTJ4v6KPrg Yes! Watched the Lost Ark film today on BBC 1 and it reminded me of how I love these films, hopefully they keep the slapstick fighting in-tact. Who else is jumping for joy? Edit, how do you get the vid to work?

That, my fellow forumer, was a brilliant post.

Daz I think you like the buzz from creating a fairly 'big' thread. You feel powerful amiright? Guarenteed posts here. Anyhow, wasn't there a 3D Kirby game in the works that was originally intended for GC. There'll probably be a mini showcase in the backrooms or whatever. Edit: been mentioned.

I saw Alien the other day! Some good shit.

Data>Records>Brawl Records or something like that, and you scroll down and it'll say how many CD's you have. If you don't want CD's tally, just go to sound test and there's a little number display that shows you how many songs you have in total I think. There'll probably be a notice saying you've achieved getting all of them, there's a trophy for it too.

I watched this film last night called Halloween H20, it wasn't too scary, but at the end I thought the parts when Laurie takes out Michael would make a quality Ownage compilation video. I hate horror movies, get scared quite easily by them, but this wasn't too bad as there were lots of other people. Everyone was just cracking up at the film, I was in hysterics and everyone was cheering for Laurie. When she brakes hard in the van and Michael shoots through the windscreen I shouted "Two-Nil!" which was met with great reception at the time. You may laugh but I was put-off horror films when I shat myself watching 'What lies Beneath'. The bit where she gets out of the bath and the blood-prints are on the carpet put me on a knife edge.

Good point, I think I'll move it to there as well then.
-
No, I was just saying how it would have made a good 'ownage video'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlthnkLtAmc Tis a shame it misses the last part of the film, with the beheading, but oh well.

Right to clear-up. Yes, I admit that the game wasn't as bad as I said it would be. It is better.
-
Not really, because I said it would be fun but I still stick to what I said it being another MK. It's obviously one of the funnest Wii games, but that's mostly just because it is MK and also it is good multiplayer. Thing is I've only played it for about 8 hours worth and I'm getting a bit bored if I'm being honest. At the start drifting with the wheel seemed really cool but now it's just standard. A comment I would withdraw is the one about the tracks being too wide, it actually doesn't make a great deal of difference. Yes I'm stubborn.
-
Its basically what you expect, which I guess is good enough for most although I won't be buying it. Some of the new courses are fun and also it is as much fun as any Wii game yet. Wheel is good, even the wiimote alone is nice for drifting pleasures. So I'd say well done 8/10 King Boo is playable so that is win.
-
Played this quite a lot now with a friend and really like the wheel, tis what the Wii is about, feels good to control your drift by turning/leaning. I'm rating all the retro tracks atm, they seem to be the funnest ones, but I do like a couple of the new ones. Dunno if I wil get it, it kinda seems like ive done most of it. I only play as King Boo though so I could be missing out on something. Does he have his own kart/bike or is it just the Petey one you can unlock 1000.

I know what you mean, but they need the money I guess (footie adds rake it in) so if ITV have the main rights then people will watch anyway. Don't know where the money goes though, ITV only gives me Harry Hill.
-
Im getting slightly worried that Freeloader has fucked my Wii up a bit because it can tend to make a loud 3-tone hum when turning on and some loadin times are a bit excessive. Works fine atm though. There's a problems and support page btw.
-
I've seen that before somewhere, but not on N-E. Pretty funny though. "the electrical current and molecular structure of the central processing unit is altered, causing it to blast apart like a large hand grenade"

Isn't 3 grand a bit steap?

Chelsea deserved to win and Eseqiel, I really think he got those decisions right. Thought the game was very good.
