  1. So Dannyboy is watching the thread, but isn't answering my question. Sure, he might just be afk, but in a game like this even that sort of information is important. Maybe he's on the mafia forum discussing what to say....

Lollerskates its fun to get really suspicious to the point where even insignificant facts make people look guilty

I was in the process of answering your question, you douche! :heh:

    ...fail on my part.

Okay so that means we apparently have three killers in the game. Seems unlikely. Who are you trying to kill? And what have your targets been so far? I thought you said you'd been talking to people so far - not killing? Why can you suddenly kill?

Have you even been listening?! :heh:

At first, I woke up with amnesia. My objective was to ask around to learn my identity. First night I asked Sprout. He knew nothing. Second night I attempted to ask Cube, but he mistook me for Angus and pushed me over. This lead to a debate in the thread about my identity, and I theorised I might be his thought-to-be-dead brother, James Barker. Come night time, I received a PM that this was, in fact, correct, and that my deduction had given me my memory back. Like my brother, I'm a hunter, and I can kill people at night or remain protected by my traps, but I'm also good and so didn't kill anyone tonight.

  2. Actually, scratch that scratch. It's still entirely possible that Dannyboy is Angus, but think's he's his dead twin brother (this theory is part of the mafia disguising as Angus and is not supposed to make Dannyboy look like the killer).

An interesting theory. When I first got my amnesic role, I did ponder whether I was actually Angus, and the killer James Barker posing as me. Whatever the case, I believe myself to be James Barker now and is on the town's side.

So what exactly is your power Dannyboy?

Basically the same as my brother last time: I can kill a player if I so choose, but if not I protect myself with my traps. I wonder if I've got a room since regaining my memory, or if I just lay out the traps in the main room where I've been sleeping so far. :heh:

My theory for that part is mainly due to the wording of "mysterious man".

Ah, yes, I had misread what Flink said. I thought he had admitted to receiving the key.

So what exactly is your theory in its entirety at present?

  3. I suspect that Angus is not in the game at all and that a band of thugs are using his guise in order to wipe us out. And if one was under the guise of Angus then perhaps it would seem that they did nothing that night.

A pretty good theory, actually. Likely the real Angus is the leader of the bunch (you know him well, he's finally back to kick some tail :p).

I also think the person who took the key is the same person who gave me my restored power for one night. I have a sneaky suspicion who it is, but it's a wild guess.

Wait, didn't Eenuh give the key to Flink because he happened to be at the scene?

  4. I'd like to know the information you have Dannyboy, please reveal what you can about your role.

And hey, maybe if you don't stop voting for me I'll be even more likely to believe you're Angus, and then I might have to do something :p

    Oh, right, sorry. :p

    Withdraw Vote

It turns out that I am, in fact, James Barker. Last night I received a message from Jonnas that through my deductive reasoning in the thread, I had managed to regain my memory. It turns out Angus only thought he had succeeded in killing me, and since then I have worked for Princess/Queen Olivia.

As for Nintendohnut, I'm still wary, but I do want to trust you. (Though I know what a great liar you are, so I hope you'll excuse me for being a bit on edge. ;))

  5. Oooh, another kinda interesting development.

I believe you have some idea as to who I am, amnesia boy. =P

Nope, none at all. The only thing I got was that you didn't know me, so I didn't get closer to learning my identity.

I simply picked you at random because I hadn't seen you in a mafia game in ages (if ever). :heh:

But now I'm curious: What is it that you think I know about you? ;)

  6. Oh, and on Night 1 somebody (don't know who) attempted to talk to me. That's all I got

    That was me.

I can't believe anyone would make that up. Change Vote: No Lynch

I can, because I would. :heh:

(although, would killing dannyboy be too cruel...? You know, just to see if he's telling the truth :P)

It would be what in technical terms is known as a "dick move". :heh:

If people are still in doubts about me, I can reveal some info about myself.

  7. I just remembered something I read somewhere: some religious scholars pointed out that the way in which they disposed of the body was not in accordance with Islamic traditions. Does anyone know anything about that?

  8. No, not targeting anyone could be part of the plan so that you can come out with this excuse during the day.

It's always hard to say since reverse psychology can be reversed an infinite number of times (we've faced this issue before recently).

Is it just me, or does this outburst sound made-up...just thinking out loud. I think there should be more than one thief, if there's more than one protector.

No, it's not just you. Especially the "You tell me!" line was awfully direct, though I'm not sure anyone if anyone who was actually trying to sow suspicion would be so forceful. But then we're back at the reverse psychology argument.

In any case, it does lead me to believe Ellmeister may know something that suggests to him that Sméagol was the thief in this case.

  9. Why not? He's alone and there is a seperate group of evil doers, a new Angus. It is entirely possible, though I doubt that is the case.

It is more likely Angus is indeed part of the mafia who are a group that he has "hired" or acquired in some way.

I'd like to hear from Sprout and other people who haven't spoken much, I saw Marcmillian looking earlier as well.

The thing is, there has been absolutely nothing to suggest that Angus is working together with anyone. Quite to the contrary, everything so far seems to point towards him working alone.

I'm not saying there isn't a mafia working together with him, but I'm starting to think it's not the case.

  10. Nintendohnut has traps and knives in his room. He has the ability to kill.

You know these things for a fact (presuming nothing interfered with your investigation)?

I suspect him to be Angus.

Someone mentioned a theory earlier that Angus may be the only 'enemy' in the game and that his goal is to get all the keys rather than kill everyone. I'm quite inclined to believe this may be the case although maybe Angus is neutral and there is still a mafia to face.

Aye, but if Angus is neutral and there's a mafia somewhere, it doesn't really make sense that Angus has done all the killings so far.

Unless Jonnas has seriously mixed up the structure of this game.

  11. I think it'd make sense to have the same player a returning character. In the big baddies case anyway; because there'd be a sense of "Nah, he wouldn't do that" that you could fall back on and also the town may have a hard time believing it as well. I certainly don't think it's out of the question.

I do see your point, but I can't really say anything to it. We both have valid points. It's up to the people to decide.

Rest assured, though, that I am able to defend myself against eventual accusations. I just don't deem it necessary yet.

  12. I just want to point out that no-one should take this as having any relevance at all. This could all be one big lie and I have no reason to believe nor disbelieve Jonnas wouldn't ironically make you the murderer again.

Also, my character is quite topically given, though it has nothing to do with the previous game so if anything, this proves that Jonnas may make your character so as well.

As we have already established, my character is definitely also topically given. That does in no way mean I'm actually Angus. I also fully realise it proves absolutely nothing, but you have to admit it would be a bit evil of Jonnas to make me Angus again. He knows I'd be a suspect from the beginning in any case.

  13. I seem to have been roleblocked again. But I am not angered, as this was only mildly impeding. Although I don't have any information, I do know that it is very likely that the person who roleblocked me on day one, roleblocked me again today.

This couldn't all be just for some sort of neutral, and Angus could not act alone. He is their the leader of the mafia and the only one who can kill, or the mafia disguises themselves as Angus every night for the kill, and are themselves Scottish. Maybe a family of mafia?

It makes me suspicious of Dannyboy, and I don't care if he has come out with the info himself, as he has tried this tactic before. I would like to know if anyone is even able to target him, that's a strange ability to leave out of a role PM. But he may just have been protected.

I don't really ask you to trust me, though - I ask you to trust Jonnas not to have done something as unfair as to make me the number one bad guy again.

That being said, I am able to dispel suspicions directed at me should the need rise to pressing levels. For now, though, I find it best to stay silent in this regard, and I do say I believe we have more interesting leads to follow. Don't you agree?

Good sirs! I have valuable information regarding Nintendohnut. I targeted him last night and discovered traps and knives in his room. He is a most sinister person and I do not think we should trust him.

Vote: Nintendohnut I think we may have found Angus

The sinister part, did you add that yourself? Or did you discover that as well?

    In any case:

    Vote: Nintendohnut

How curious. Was the wearer of the Sir Nut of Dough mask not the leader of the Black Masks last time?

  14. Also, if that was Flink hurrying away with the key, who is the note writer?

They are not necessarily two different people. It could be that the keys are passed on in case anything happens.

In fact, could Angus still have the same goal as last time? To get the queen? In that case, the keys are what he's after, not majority. It means there's no regular mafia, only one powerful player who needs to find the five keys to win!

Though, it does beg the question why he didn't get hold of Eenuh's key immediately. Either it was a failsafe in her role, or whoever received the key intevened in some way.

  15. Gentlemen, this is going to sound really stupid, and it might be a strange thing to say.

I have a theory. Not....not any evidence or....anything...but a theory. That either...very few or even perhaps NO mafia voted for Mundi. It was a reasonably slow boiling lynch that nearly didn't even go through. Did the mafia sit back and watch us take down one of our own?

Obviously its not a theory we can particularly test in any way. And it still doesn't particularly help. In fact having written this out now, I'm not sure I should post it, but I feel my hand veering towards submit...

...But not before CTRL+A and Green.

This is a very strange and vaguely suspicious theory to throw out. Is it an attempt at removing suspicion from those who voted? Place it on those who didn't? Or a genuine case of simply pondering out loud?

Okay, since no-one has said anything, I think Maddog is evil. I'd like him to speak up and tell us what he's done every night so far, I may have something I may not.

It's as good as anything. Dyson and MadDog, speak up!

  16. I love how conspiracy theorists are always capable of denying any evidence found as inconclusive or fabricated. Conspiracy theories work exactly because they're self-sustaining: Any and every proof, explanation and piece of evidence (or, indeed, lack thereof) provided will be used as proof that something is going on that someone is trying to cover up, Occam's razor be damned.
