  1.

The Kung Fu Panda review is about 1 minute or so long and it reveals virtually nothing.

(Thats fine if you still don't want to though)

That's cool, but I try to steer clear of any form of review or preview of films I plan to see, since I like my initial impression to be unaffected. :)

  2. I'm pretty sure there're thin lines between confident, creepy and "cock" though. I'm pretty sure that when I'm not being quiet and keeping myself to myself, females tend to think the latter two.

Of course, but that's the trick; self-confidence ≠ arrogance/cockiness, nor is it being pushy. When you're self-confident, you don't need brag or try too hard to come onto others; when you're self-confident, you rest in yourself.

  3. I think you did very well in the latest Gentlemen's Dannyboy, normally if you had a role like that you would be lynched! But I think Dohnut being very similar to you helped your cause immensely.

Yeah, I am pretty surprised I managed to gain people's trust. Not exactly sure how. :heh:

Also, I do think people were being a bit unreasonable in the beginning by just assuming I was Angus again. I mean, really? That would've just been too unfair.

  4. I saw Saving Private Ryan for the first time last night. It's a brilliant film. It also looked amazing on Blu-Ray: Thanks to the setting and effects it doesn't look like it was released 13 years ago - goes to show that proper effects, extras, etc can help make a film timeless.

I don't know why it took me so long to see it, but if anyone else here hasn't seen it then go buy/rent the Blu-Ray right now.

    Oh, and:

Is that ... Nathan Fillion? In Saving Private Ryan?

(The image title seems to suggest so.)

  5. Listen to these guys, Kurtle; they speak the truth.

I was where you are a while ago. I was absolutely crippled by low self-esteem, never thought I'd get anywhere with the ladies. I found myself unattractive and believed myself to be an all-around loser. But people helped me realise that the only thing you really need is self-confidence. You need to learn to love yourself before others can love you, but once you do, you'll find that the rest comes naturally.

I'm still working on my self-confidence, but as soon as you realise and accept that you just need to believe in yourself, you're on the path to success. And eventually you'll get there. :)

  6. So you're this Loelia Ponsonby person?

What actually happened? We know two other people were in the room with ReZ, one of whom was likely Esequiel/Loelia Ponsonby, so the third person must have been the redirector/switcher, correct?

  7. Diageo laughing at me after my last few deaths has inspired me to design a very creative and cool role for the next Pokemafia. What it is is this Serial Killer Neutral Role, but they appear evil under investigation, a 85% chance that their power fails, if they are roleblocked they get killed, they aren't allowed to lie in the game thread, to lynch them it only takes 50% of majority, and one random townie is sent a PM at the start of the game stating that the player is evil.

I already know who I'm gonna give the role to too. :p

I've received a PM that ReZ is evil.

    Vote: ReZourceman

  8. A very fair point. For me in this subject it's easy because I feel removed, I haven't been directly hit or affected. A point Dyson touched on in his original post. This doesn't seem a terribly personal affair, I realise some of their actions may have personal repercussions, which I don't approve of. However not being able to play minecraft for a few hours, whilst I can appreciate could be a big deal to someone, just does not strike me as a big deal in the grand scheme of things, nor I am sure, will they remember in years to come as a massive low point in their life.

Release of personal data that could seriously affect one's life so badly that they will however, does. I don't approve of that. I know it was mentioned earlier in the thread about somebody using some data to email someone.

But then it comes back to the point of asking, who's responsibility was it to keep that data/information secure?

I see your point very clearly, and I can't say I disagree very much in any way.

Regarding the responsibility, it really is a complex matter.

This is what I was trying to get at. Why blame just these guys, and not both parties? Why disapprove of one, and not the other? Sure, they're bad for breaking in, but aren't the people being broken into somewhat at fault for not being secure enough? I don't believe anything is just one or the other.

Still, as somebody mentioned, you need to be careful about blaming the victim, as it often seems to give the perpetrators an excuse for their actions, possibly even prompting them to refuse to take responsibility entirely. I think what's truly relevant, the core point of it all, is the morality and responsibility of people's actions.
