Yeah, I agree I got caught up in he moment, and didn't actually say what it does for me. I'd basically reiterate what Haggis said about relating. That right there is what I hate. I love Candy Shop, but that doesn't mean I have a neurological problem. I can just as easily say; "There are people who like Mastodon and Metallica, does that mean that he's good? No, all it means is that they've got a neurological problem." I can say i'm right. Becuase you're too immature musically. Expand your tastes a bit. Whatever. Music is so subjective, I think it's pointless having strong feelings and saying they're "right", because theres always someone to "disprove" you. I like Avril, you don't. Fine. Just don't assume you're in the right. (Edit: And I won't assume I am, either)

- I said I was mature for my age. I did that for a reason. I didn't say I was mature for people above my age. - I said Music is an art form. And it is. If someone likes it, doesn't that make it good in their mind? - And, I'm not "A stray cat in the crowd". This is funny because it all comes back to the fact that YOU DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT ME. I'm the only person in my entire school who actually dares to be different, and I get shit from the younger immature fuckwits. I dyed my hair black, I have it over my eyes. I stuck the v's up when they forced me to become an RAF cadet. (Just so you know, i have immpecable manners, and am extremely kind) I pride myself on being different. As Haggis said, there are many things in life we can't choose. Music/Art taste, Sexuality, basic appearance etc. Things that shape us as humans. I don't give a flying fuck if Avril Lavigne is going round people houses flogging her albums. I don't buy her music for her personality. I buy it because I like her music (generally). By the same token, I wouldn't care if Bjork were lighting up the charts and selling truckloads. It doesnt matter to me. I like the music. People should get over themselves. In no way does Avril suck, IMO. I like her songs, especially the rockier ones, and I love her voice. But I'll repeat, music is art, so you don't have to like her. I'm not even that big of an Avril fan! It just grates on me when people are so randomly opiniated. EDIT: I think, after thinking about it, that it comes down to my uncanny ability to like most music. I'm listening to the Animatrix soundtrack, with it's very "deep" beats and shit, and I love it, but I think I enjoy jumping around to easy-to-access pop-rock too. I don't think I'll think to myself in 10 years "What was I thinking?", becuase as I said, I think I'm pretty unique in my musical taste. (lol sounds boastful, not trying to be) I'm over it anyway. This'll never go anywhere. Age is a big factor. I'm full of "teenage angst" and raging hormones while you (don't actually know how old you are) probably aren't. Personality clash.

Really? Well, I think I'm pretty mature for my age. If I compare myself to other people in my peer group, i'm 100 times more mature than many. And it's insulting to be called a mediocre person by someone who has never met me, and never will. How dare you presume that about someone?

If you want to. I don't care what you listen to. I'm not ashamed to say I like a few of their tracks. It's not all to my taste, but I like "Wake Me Up".

I kinda hate how the whole family is so beautiful. All the women are gorgeous (for their age) and the guys are all typical hollywood "hunks". I love the stories though. Anyone else that one brother (the one that works under the oldest sister) is being shafted a bit, story-wise? He has no backstory, and his GF/Wife has had about 4 lines in total.

Everyone's entitled to their musical tastes. Music is an artform. You wouldn't say, "Oh, you like Andy Warhol, LAME!", so you can't dismiss someone's music tastes. You can not like the artist in question, but at least let others like what they want. I love music in general. I like all genres, with Rap being my least favourite, simply becuase theres often no originality, beat or good tune. But I can't say "I hate rap". Because I don't. I love oddities (like Bjork, who is a genius, yes) but I also love mainstream people like Avril, MCR, Madonna (depends what style though) etc. All of whom are put under different genres. I think Music is such a personal thing, it's awful to have people dismiss it totally. --- In other (music related) news; - I got Siouxsie and The Banshees - Once Upon A Time, Alanis Morrissette - Under Rug Swept, the Cabaret soundtrack and the Animatrix soundtrack. There were only 4 songs on the Siouxsie album I didn't have, but it was cheap so i got it anyway.

Yeah, it's good. Better than Innocence. It's like.. she coulda left that off and no one would have really cared. Not saying she should of, but yeah. I just don't like it. On the other hand, "Innocence" by Bjork = Awesome.

Bjork - Innocence, out 23rd July! I once had no fears None at all And then when I had some To my surprise I grew to like both Scared or Brave Without them The thrill of fear Thought I'd never admit it The thrill of fear Now greatly enjoyed with courage When I once was Untouchable Innocence roared Still amazes When I once was Innocent It's still here But in different places Neurosis Only Attaches Itself to Fertile Ground Where it can flourish The thrill of fear Thought I'd never admit it The thrill of fear Now greatly enjoyed with courage When I once was Fearless Innocence roared Still amazes Untouchable Innocence It's still here But in different places Fear is a powerful drug Overcome it and You think that you can do Anything! Should I Save myself For later Or generously give? Fear of Losing Energy Is draining It locks up your chest Shuts down the heart Miserly And stingy Let's open up : share! When I once was Fearless Innocence roared Still amazes Untouchable Innocence It's still here But in different places

Keep your current signature, and use one of her faces from that as your avatar. Sorted! -
I thought so. She performed it on Friday Night project last week. Urgh. Why that, over "I Can Do Better" or "Everything Back But You"? "EBBY" is my favourite on the album.

I think Emma Watson's like a year older than she's meant to be, Daniel is 2 years older, and Rupert is 3 years older. So yeah, 19,20 and 21 roughly if they keep at it.

7/10 I prefer the avatar as an image by itself. The close ups have a different feel, and detract from the drama of the image in your avvie/on the left. Who is that? -

I think I'm going to a midnight thing, but I really don't love it. I can't remember anything that happened last book, except when Dumbledore and Harry were like in a cave, then Dumbldore died. Can't remember what horcruxes are. Oh, didn't the barlady reveal herself as evil in the end? I remember that. They really don't do much for me. I need this one though.. it's pointless reading the first 6 and not reading the end. I hate people who don't bother reading/seeing the end of a series. coughcoughchairdrivernotbotheringtogotopirates3coughcough

I hate being like left behind music-wise. I actually have to buy my own music, and I realised no one does that anymore. I would limewire it if I could, but my dad's an IT consultant, and hates limewire with a passion.

We did it at school for a few days, but I can't remember much. I just like run away if people have fits in public.

He was he first mainstream superhero to come out. There were gay characters in comic boks befroe that, but they were mainly parody types. Like Captain Handbag or something like that. (Comic geek correction: He was actually in Alpha Flight when he came out. So, he wasn't yet totally mainstream at the time. He was a sortof test by Marvel. They didn't want to make any of the Avengers or X-Men gay before knowing how a gay character would be received. He did join the X-men a few years ago though, and know there are more gay characters in the mainstream, in both Marvel and DC)

Alien Vs. Predator (second watch) It's not as bad as everyone says,IMO. I think I should stop thinking of it as an Alien film (no experience of the predator films- dont appeal to me), and instead see it as the prequel to the Alien series. It's just not scary, or overly exciting. Alien was scary, beucase of the surprise, and Aliens was amazing becuase of suspense and excitment rolled into one. AVP is really just a mediocre action flick. 7/10
