  1. JP2 was interesting as it took a totally different viewpoint from the frst one. JP3 went back the first one in terms of how it played out, and I enjoy it. It's more fun that The Lost World.
  2. I'm intrerested in this (I did a mock-report on it in Modern Studies); So has the push for health food (I presume that's why the money's lost) caused young people to go and buy more takeaway/fast food?
  3. UBERRESPEKT for those ones. The ones in bold are the ones i'd give 10/10 for too, but others there are basically up there too.
  4. I'd prefer if they didn't have guns. Realistically.
  5. Before Xmas, around late November, my mum asked what I wanted for Xmas. Since there were no "things" I wanted, I jokingly said "Bjork tickets, but of course she hasn't posted ANY UK dates..." THAT night she announced the Uk dates. (Got tickets)
  6. ^ I love. Oxigen, I now you love Joanna so E-props. YS is just amazing. I need to be in more of the mood for it than White Chalk by Pj Harvey, which I can just always put on, but even so, great. 10/10
  7. Currently listening to one of the best/my favourite albums ever; By Joanna Newsom
  8. I agree. I have to say, Tori Amos GH, is very interesting as it has like less than half of all the singles she's ever released, and most of the songs are album tracks, with rerecorded B-sides and 2 new songs completely. It's what got me into her, but even so, had I had the choice, I would have just got the albums. Why is it a shame CSS being there..? Prefer them to the others realist. Of course metalheads will probably boo them off stage or something.
  9. I lowered Superman to 7/10 a while back... Otherwise Batman would be 8/10... Gawd.
  10. In that case DONT buy her greatest hits. It's NOT a singles collection (good thing), it's a very clever colection of songs that are good for easing you into Little Earthquakes, and making you want to explore further. I suggest getting Little Earthquakes, as that's got some of her most popular stuff on, and it's accessible. See what you think after that. -------- Only thing that stops ADP from being great is the fact she started singing weirdly. I'm sure it's to mask a fading voice with age or something, but I'm not a fan. It's almost like I don't include it with the other albums. I like Santa's songs best, as her voice is best in them I think, and I like all the songs on it well enough, but yeah, somethings off. Still Tori though, so it's better then most. The Beekeeper is her worst by miles. ----- I might be going to see Avril with some friends (inc. Chair) so it's interesting to see bits of the tour.
  11. Tori Amos is great. Ideally start at the beginning, or with Tales Of A Librarian: A Collection, if you want an overview. However, the Greatest Hits doesnt truly show all her styles, as she's sipped into electronica and rock fairly too, not just her amazing piano stuff. Plus most of her 3rd album was harpsocord+electronic beats. GET THEM ALL!: peace:
  12. I love your face, Letty. Anime character look-a-like.
  13. Batman Begins Felt like watching it after I watched Supes the other day. It's very good, and does Batman on film as he always should have been done. Only gripe is that it's not very well paced. Cillian Murphy is awesome, and was great as Dr.Crane, but if his scenes as Scarecrow/scaring people were actually made to look even mildly scary/tense, it would have worked a lot better. SPOILER When he gasses Rachel in the lift, there could have been even a little bit of a chase scene, for example. ----- Overall, 7/10.
  14. Antony is one of the greatest male singers ever. Hope There's Someone by Antony And The Johnsons is one of THE defining songs of my life, you can tell.
  15. I keep meaning to pick up some CocoRosie CD's. ---- My December by Kelly Clarkson was a failure compared to Breakaway, it did ok though, I think. Apparently, it was going to be made more radio-friendly, but decided against it, which I respect. She wanted it to be her album, not anyone elses. It's ok as an album. Sober and Chivas are the best. Hole too.
  16. How is it a big contradiction? It never states "Oh my god, no Jimmy! As if Superman could lift an island laced with Kryptonite, that's impossible!". The fact is, Superman is stupid, and can do anything. Anyway the island wasn't a completely kryptonite island. Just bits of it. And if you remember, HE DIED after doing it. Actually getting what he deserves for once. Why should it be normal to it's genre? I'm glad Singer did something different with it. It can't be as good as the other Superhero films because Superman is impossible to relate to. Attempts have been made (Lois & Clark, the TV show), but aren't true to the comics enough. It was a good, interesting take on Superman. Worst thing was that Kate Bosworth just doesn't strik me as Lois Laney enough. She's too baby-faced. Teri Hatcher was best I think, then Margot Kidder.
  17. Chair; I don't understand why you think Sara is the best looking. Neither were particularly pretty, but that's because they had lesbian haircuts. When we saw them live, Tegan had normal, short-long hair in a ponytail, and she looked stunning./prettier than usual. Both are very plain, with Sara looking most often slightly retarded. ---- Listening to Rilo Kiley for a lagh. I quite like it. --- Could you? Thanks a lot. --- For any interested; http://ghosts.nin.com/ NIN have released an Intrumental album.(s)
  18. I know. It's a bit silly at times how psychic we are. It's like that scene in the X-Men cartoon. Wolvey; Don't worry, Cyke, we'll get Jean back. Cyclops; Thanks Wo- Agh! My Head! It's as if Jean were...re-entering Earth's atmosphere from outer space at light speed?! That's impossible! *Jean is re-entering Earth's atmosphere from outer space at high speed* Bagsy i'm Dark Phoenix.
  19. I loved Ghost World, and I laughed everytime I heard her voice (metaphorically). Really deep for no reason. I have no idea if that's her real voice, or not, but I'm sure she's on some make-up commercial and it's higher. I suppose she's not meant to have much character in Ghost World though.
  20. Coolness, you're some crazy character from a cartoon, epitomising childhood innocence. ---- I'm not that bad in the mornings. I wake up, then suddenly am up. It's later in the (school) day that lack of sleep hits me..
  21. When I said "Batman and Spider-Man", Spider-man meant all 3 films. (Mainly the second) ------ Superman is the worst superhero in recent times. Simply because he is unrelatable, and just stupid. Who wants to see someone who can't lose beat someone up? Sure, there could have been a villain, but presumably that'll be in the second one, and this was re-establish him in classic terms. I assume the island he lifted wasn't totally kryptonite. Otherwise why did it show the small glimmers of green purposely? Either way, it's Superman, he's stupid. For a Superman film, it did something different from the norm, which I applaud. But, ReZ, isn't this just you claiming Transformers is better than Atonement all over again? Not everything has to be all up in your face.
  22. *smiles gleefully, having passed Chemistry GCSE, due to the coursework he got help to do*
  23. Does anyone happen to have Sunshine by Regina Spektor? I can't find it anywhere. (from 11:11) I would have bought the Cd but they only stock bloody Begin To Hope around here..
  24. I hate shit. I hate his face. I hate their pretend geek dress-up. I hate his facial expressions. I hate his voice. I hate cliched songs. I hate.
