You will need 1GB at least, people say 2GB should be the minimum however I beg to differ. I have 1GB Memory and I have several applications running as well as music, the voice recognition system, and I have no slowdown rate at all. I do however plan to get a 2GB stick just to get a little extra from it

Yes you can do that as well, you put it into listening mode by simply saying... "Start Listening" and "Stop Listening" for the opposite effect... The features are virtually endless with this, also if there is a particular phrase which you cannot say yet it has a hyperlink on the Internet you can say "show numbers" and so will show numbers for each individual link. You then, say the number and say okay and all access it automatically, this also works on other applications. There are many ways to use the voice recognition system to access programs be it by saying the applications name itself, or by the above number of method. It is amazing at how the voice recognition system can understand such complex words, and different applications names. And due to the excessive amount of times that I visit the site all I have to say is "N Europe" on my desktop, and without any fuss it will launch an Internet browser already linked up to the site. This goes for any site on the Internet. However, this does take some getting used to but as I said in previous posts the more you use it the more the System learns, one way of doing this is taking the tests preinstalled on this PC to help better recognise your voice. Anyway Jasper, I know you like your mac, you obviously have a slight hatred of those who use Windows Operating systems. But by the sounds of things there are many threads relating to a PC v Mac argument so hopefully you can continue on your argument in one of those threads. This is a thread relating to Windows Vista and the voice recognition system, if you do not have anything to add to this topic apart from provocative, and perhaps annoying arguments which have no place in this thread. Then I suggest you start up your own thread regarding your PC vs. Mac argument.

Marshmellow, I have had it for a day now and find voice recognition easy to use. It is good the way it progressively learns the more you use it, try using it a lot more and regularly, because the more you use it the less mistakes it makes. And once again you can guess I am using voice recognition as we post... This operating system is the dogs bollocks

I think it is very much pointless, Blue Ray, HD-DVD.... I have an Xbox360 and I will be getting at HDTV soon. I will be connecting my PC to that, and streaming my high definition video files such as lost and 24, high definition video files will become more common on PCs and those with the know how will probably not spend hundreds of pounds on equipment which is not necessary.

I've been using windows vista of the 24 hours now adding finding it a very enjoyable experience. The voice recognition system learns progressively and the more you use it the more it understands your voice. Windows Vista certainly offers a lot of potential and in my view will become one of the favourite operating systems. And as you can guess I'm still using the voice recognition service and finding it very easy to use. If people are willing to put the time and effort into understanding windows vista they'll benefit from it. I have encountered very few problems and all of them are resolvable, and if anyone wishes to know my PC specifications so they can see if windows vista will work on their PC let me know.

I have nothing against apples PCs, however what's so bad about PCs? Granted that they can be a frustration when you have a virus, but if you have the right software and know what you are doing then windows may not be a frustration. Anyway I'm enjoying windows vista and see a lot of potential in this operating system.

I installed the latest operating system on this PC late last night. I encountered no problems and have just started to use the voice recognition and as you can guess I am using the voice recognition right now and not using my keyboard. I am surprised at how easy it was to install and how eloquent this piece of software I have encountered no slowdown rate at all and found that this works better on this PC and a lot more faster surprisingly than windows XP. What are your thoughts and feelings on the latest operating system? and if you are thinking of getting vista is there any questions you like to ask me. Voice recognition rocks!

To be honest, I think they are creating a Much more, realistic feel to the game, yes GTA: San Andreas was incredibly fun, but at the end of the day, if they based the next game of the same old concepts of the last two, but in a different era, it would be utter shite, and it would be in many ways boring... I think R* Are going to make this game believeable, the storyline wil be more in depth and the character will have alot more substance then the previous... This game from the early stages sounds as if it will be very deep... I think they will create a totally unique experience different to those of the last two...
