  1. Yep, sorry, I meant the people above you. Thanks.
  2. Um, you're all barking up the wrong tree. This is nothing to do with the Alien films. SEGA have not bought the rights to anything. It's a follow up to one of SEGAs 1980s arcade games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_Syndrome
  3. SATAM's finally getting a full DVD release. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000M8N41W/teamartail Still no word on a region 2 release, though. Anyway, back on topic, Sonic and the Secret Rings looks utterly awesome. I can't wait. The single player does look stunning in some of the gameplay videos. I'm not too bothered about the multiplayer aspect, but it would be a bonus if that's fun too.
  4. These two sites are good to keep an eye on for release dates: N-Europe release list UK Wii release list I guess I'm most interested in Sonic and the Secret Rings and Super Mario Galaxy. I'm also hoping that Phantasy Star Universe will get released for the Wii.
  5. Didn't you ever unlock the AX cup? "Lightning: Thunder Road" and "Green Plant: Spiral" had some of the most impressive graphics I ever saw on the GameCube. "Outer Space: Meteor Stream" was pretty spectacular too. And don't forget that there were 30 different machines on the track at once.
  6. Wow. It looks quite stunning, doesn't it? Fingers crossed for this to be the first 3D sonic game to live up to the Mega Drive era titles.
  7. Aw, OK. I hope Streets of Rage is out soon. Buh? What's wrong with asking a question?
  8. Did the little bird mention anything about: - Streets of Rage (Mega Drive) - Comix Zone (Mega Drive) ?
  9. I think these stats are for the Japanese territory only. Can anyone confirm?
  10. VC games? Getting classic games released is better than nothing.
  11. Most overrated series? The whole Tomb Raider saga. Dreadfull gameplay and appalling controls make it a miserable experience.
  12. Nonsense! When SEGA launched the Mega Drive they aimed at older gamers than Nintendo were targeting with the NES. It was their main marketing strategy. When the SNES was released, it was again aimed at kids. Nintendo started to target older gamers too, after the release of Mortal Kombat, of course. Nintendo had censored Mortal Kombat to remove the blood, but SEGA allowed the blood and gore to remain. When the SNES version of Mortal Kombat became a total mockery, Nintendo had to re-think their stance. Mortal Kombat 2 was released to both consoles without the censoring. Although the Mega Drive got a lot of ports of SEGA's arcade games like Afterburner, Outrun and Space Harrier, it also had a wealth of immensely deep and challenging games. For instance the Phantasy Star series of epic RPGs and the immense Shining Force tactical RPGs were both deep and immersive.
  13. 1) Skies of Arcadia 2) F-Zero GX 3) Soul Calibur II 4) Super Monkey Ball Can't think of any more GameCube games I really liked. Those four are awesome, though.
  14. The first one had a much better single player mode; it was all about skill. The second one was much more luck based, which grew tiresome. The first one's mini games seemed more well rounded too. The first Monkey Race was much better than the second.
  15. Where did you see this, Scorp? It will be great if it's true. I've not actually played a Mortal Kombat game since the 16 bit era. Are the 3D ones any good? I'd heard they weren't, which is why I have avoided them.
  16. Sonic Rush is the best 2D sonic game since the Mega Drive games. It's much better than all the GBA Sonic Advance titles. It's also the fastest 2D Sonic game ever. Sonic Rush is easily my favourite DS game so far, although Mario Kart comes close.
  17. Comix Zone and Streets of Rage will be well worth getting. Both excelent titles.
  18. Cannon Fodder (Fun arcade / strategy) Comix Zone (Stunningly stylish beat 'em up) Ecco 2 - The Tides of Time (Beautiful 'platformer') Gunstar Heroes (Fast paced side-scrolling shoot 'em up. Awesome graphics and gameplay) Micro Machines '96 (Top down racer. Immense fun. This is the better version) Outrun 2019 (Fast futuristic Racer) Phantasy Star II (AWESOME RPG!) Phantasy Star III (AWESOME RPG!) Phantasy Star IV (AWESOME RPG! Even better than the last two!) Shining Force (Great strategical RPG with huge turn based battles) Shining Force II (As above.) Sonic 2 (Probably the best Sonic game! Awesome gameplay, graphics and music) Sonic 3 (Another great Sonic title) Sonic and Knuckles (As above) Sonic 3D Blast (Isometric 3D platformer. Very impressive visually but you may get bored before you complete it) Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition (Top fighter) Streets of Rage 2 (Legendary beat 'em up) Streets of Rage 3 (Same formula as SoR2 but better graphics) Toejam and Earl (Unique, original game. Try it!) Toejam and Earl 2 (Completely different gameplay to the above. Fantastic graphics and great fun) Vectorman (Probably the best looking Mega Drive game there is and flawless gameplay to match. This game looks even better than Mega CD and 32X games!) Vectorman 2 (As above. I preferred the first one, although they're very similar)
  19. Great, thanks guys. I'll try it later. I had tried taking it slowly first, but fell, so I'd been trying to race across as fast as posible.
  20. Sonic Team are unlikly to reuse music from a previous game. "It Doesn't Matter"? Actually, there were two, if I remember correctly; "It Doesn't Matter" and "Escape from the City".
  21. I'm stuck on the 5th stage of the 7th world (Volcanic Pools). You go down some steps at the start and turn right, then there is a series of flipping platforms that you have to get across. I have been stuck here for ages. Has anyone got any tips?
  22. I thought Amusement Vision did a really good job with F-Zero GX/AX. Some of the tracks in the AX cup were breath taking. It will be good if they're developing a sequel. The story mode was a nice touch.
  23. Yay! This is the game I'm looking forward to most at the moment. It better live up to my expectations!
