  1. Indeed. And now I've finally reached... This game is a marvel!
  2. Was it the one in Caelid? One of the coolest, most amazing and incredible boss fights I've ever experienced. Now that Caelid field boss mentioned in an earlier post/spoiler...still too much for me. I may resort to assigning more FP flasks and make him my bitch with sorceries from a distance
  3. I won. And got 65k souls. Highest I've gotten from a single encounter so far... Am I in a high level area?
  4. Need to take a break... Two boss fights are kicking my ass. Welp, time for Bundesliga. Go FC Bayern Munich
  5. Thanks I'll just wait and see if I figure it out naturally. Anyway, I'm off to Caelid now
  6. Fair enough Now now, my friend. Tell me of this place (as spoiler-less as possible, please ). Great to hear So the "legacy dungeons" (I think that's what they are officially referred to), i.e. the "Souls dungeons" with big bosses, are what you hoped/expected them to be? A friend of mine, who's only played the first Dark Souls and dropped it pretty early on absolutely loves Elden Ring. This is all I can tell you, 'cause I enjoy the Souls games and also love Elden Ring
  7. Nope. Hate 'em, will avoid them at all costs. Whenever I read those statements I always think: "How freaking long do you play at a time?" In my most recent longer session (7 hours of H:FW a few weeks ago), my fully charged controller dropped 1 power bar. And when I stop playing, I charge it. I never have problems with battery life (well, sometimes with my PSVita, but that's 'cause I overclock it ). Gonna throw in a quick two hour study session now and then spend all of this Saturday conquering Caelid.
  8. Yeah, I'm blind. Found quite a few now. I'll never reach BFF status with Caelid. It's not aesthetically pleasing to me, I hate those big-beaked-bird-bitches and that swamp can suck it. I have to admit, though, the atmosphere is awesome. Bleak, dead, full of despair. Fought... Also found... But first I'll finish the Caelid Catacombs I just stumbled across. Can't wait! There's still quite a lot for me to do in this red wasteland. I have the north-west and north-east of it to explore and Redmane Castle needs to be conquered eventually. Not to mention an area south of what's mentioned in the second spoiler tag. I do wonder if there is a main boss waiting for me somewhere in Caelid. Looking forward to finding out.
  9. Stupid Caelid and its stupid humongous ravens can suck my nads. Stumbled upon a boss which gave me a quest item as a reward. Actually managed to start and complete that quest not long after Very fun. I enjoyed that sorcery town, too. A short and sweet "puzzle" to solve. Are Sites of Grace in Caelid rarer compared to Limgrave and Lunaria? I feel like I missed a few, but I generally explore quite thoroughly.
  10. Thanks, @Julius Might give it a go, as soon as I reached that place in 20 hours Currently at level 60 something, if I remember correctly. I think for now I'll just explore Caelid, help the occasional player to farm some runes and Rune Arcs. Think that'll help me level up for now. Edit: Some character spoilers coming up: More spoilers just in case:
  11. Shit...I may need to get this after all, don't I? Thinking about trading in my last Switch game (Super Mario 3D All-Stars) and H:FW to get this for 10 bucks...
  12. I did, but the ahead path is locked by something I only have half of, if I understand correctly. Went to Caelid, spent an hour in a catacomb and went to bed last night Tonight I'll explore the area more . And yeah, to echo H-o-T, where did you grind?
  13. Can't go further north (unless I use some Sites of Grace I uncovered thanks to some treasure chests). Guess I have to go to Caelid now. I wanted to avoid that place for as long as possible. Well, time to get over it and bring the noise like Anthrax and Public Enemy back in 1991.
  14. Probably not necessary. Been working my way through there for a bit. You get swarmed with those...fucking...things, which makes it quite difficult, but if you manage the pressure, it's not that bad. Think I'm getting closer to the Manor's inevitable boss. Can't wait to see what it's like
  15. Just entered Caria Manor. WHAT THE FUCK, FROMSOFT?
  16. Not to discredit your skills, of course, but you're using a pretty strong weapon. The Blood effect is ridiculously powerful. I'm using a Katana myself and its damage output is stupidly high If I can consistently get hits in, almost nothing stands a chance. Only when enemies gang up on me, I get into trouble. I Should maybe invest in some Vigor. It's interesting, though. Many people say this is the most difficult Souls game, but I, as do you, disagree. It's actually pretty easy. Maybe I should give Sekiro another go...I remember people saying it's very hard. The messages here are so annoying. "Fort, night" "Try finger, but hole" "Dog?" I enjoyed the message system in the older Souls games. Sure, there were also some stupid ones, but those were mostly genuinely funny. And the amount of actual helpful messages made that system worthwhile. In Elden Ring, it's just dumb thanks to some of the playerbase. I can only imagine. Been playing the game mostly at night and a mate and I chat via a PSN party while we both explore the world. We're kind of similar in that we explore a lot, so exchanging information is very helpful.
  17. No idea. Remind me to tell you in a few weeks. I won't see my family for at least two more weeks
  18. Link to the Level Obviously, you can also donate somewhere else without getting anything in return, but why not use your (most likely) biggest hobby in conjunction with helping others.
  19. Same. My sister's boyfriend has a racing seat and one of those cool and awesome steering wheels (his words, not mine). I'll try the game at his place in a few weeks and make my decision
  20. Horsey can be annoying at times. He just can't stand still after a double jump Just found a new location with an interesting character. Went to that location again at night, because messages all around said to do that...and boom, boss fight That dude kicked my ass for a while. Shame that the reward for victory wasn't great. Also finally did the thing with the finger snap. Turns out I completed part of that quest much earlier.
  21. Sony's output has been nothing but spectacular in recent years. Especially PS5 players are feasting with (obviously) superior versions. GT7 is still not really a game I'm willing to buy early in its lifetime. Something to get further down the line Can't wait to read some impressions in here. And I need screenshots!
  22. I didn't mean to be negative. I was just genuinely wondering, why you'd give the game a go when you knew beforehand that you most likely won't enjoy one of the major aspects of it. Sorry if I came across as patronizing. I'm always open for opinions, even if I don't agree. Very valid reason. I forgot you did the same with BotW. But now I know what to expect from your future posts This time, however, I'll probably mostly disagree
  23. Why did you get the game, then? You knew what you were getting into:
