Yes it invoked the same feeling in me. Thank god the boss was cool otherwise I probably would have snapped the game disk in half.

Obviously I'm not suggesting TP is EXACTLY the same as OOT, but look at the facts: Adult Link, Hyrule on land, Temple of Time, Hyrule Castle Town, Kakariko Village, 3 temples followed by 5, Lake Hylia, Epona, Ganon, Hyrule Castle taken over by Ganon. I'm not saying it's a bad thing that it copied the OOT formula, after all that is the main structure to most Zelda games. I'm just saying it did it badly imo.

No I mean, 'TP Lite' as in it tried to be as fun, magical, interesting as OOT and failed. In my opinion of course. I could have called it MM Lite or WW Lite but TP was trying so hard to be like Ocarina, it seemed to fit better.

Trust me, if you'd been around for the past 6 months, there's about 200 posts in the official Zelda topic on these boards as to why I think OOT, MM and WW are better games than TP. We ALL give reasons why we prefer certain games. .....no . lol

Are we allowed to bitch that TP was inferior to the previous 3 3D Zelda games? I don't believe it's a crime to talk about a game's shortcomings.

Agreed. If that's repetitive then sign me up. The fact that Zelda games are still adored just as much and getting 9 or 10 out of 10 in reviews after 12+ iterations of repetitive dynamics says a lot. Anyway it looks like Phantom Hourglass is changing the structure of the quest a bit. I just hope to god Nintendo don't fuck with the series too much for the next Zelda.

The mod who locked the Windows vs Mac topic thought he had grown a pair of balls by locking the topic... surely it's cowardly to stop people having a heated debate about the issues of both? No one was throwing any racist or harsh abuse towards other members, yet the mod goes down the censorship route? I say grow a pair of balls and realise that discussions like that are going to get heated. God sake it's not like we were talking about TP vs OOT or Rugby v Football or anything ;-)

That timeline of yours doesn't make sense whereas the one I posted at the top of this page is air-tight from a storyline point of view. And as Raw says, Aonuma confirmed the split timeline theory.

I don't compare 2D and 3D Zeldas. Minish Cap though is a very good game.
