What do you mean no-one talks on cube-europe... the others no-one talks in because it'd just be the same people they'd be talking to... But in #cube-europe there's generally at least a couple of people in there... Admitedly in the last week it's been a bit quiet, but then it is nearing christmas.. and everyones on dodgy sleep cycles. Edit: for horrendous spelling.

The reason no-one uses it is because everyone that would use it stayed at the old channel... aka... #cube-europe just type /join #cube-europe

Ok, for hosting i'm gonna say http://www.hytekhosting.com. They are awesome, very very cheap and the one time I had a question, I got a reply in minutes. They can register your domain for you, and it'll be in your name (see twozzok.com for proof :P), but if you're not sure if you're gooing to keepo the same hosting, host it on godaddy or 123-reg. This'll enable you to change the Nameservers when needed

Errm, Sibelius is notation software first, other stuff last. Depending on what equipment you have available, i'm gonna say either Cubase SX or as you said ACID. If you're recording though, with mics and stuff, i'm gonna say ProTools HD

No it won't be merged... there was a press release saying it's staying as a seperate site. Also, I don't think they'll be cutting out the illegal content until they get sued or something, I mean, they surely know thats what makes it popular, the fact people can just upload stuff.
