  1. Lilo & Stitch Super Bowl Spot: I mean, yeah, that's Stitch alright
  2. Golden Sun has been added to the service today.
  3. Super Bowl trailer for Thunderbolts*: ...can they not decide on a font for the title or something?
  4. It's hard to not feel a little discouraged, but at the same time, it feels like every team outside of those working on Final Fantasy titles and Team Asano projects in S-E have been seriously struggling post-COVID. It's wild that we've seen multiple AAA Final Fantasy titles and HD-2D projects from Team Asano, yet the likes of Kingdom Hearts, NieR, the rest of Dragon Quest outside of these HD-2D Remakes (even including the spin-offs for DQ, there's been a weird drop in quality! Remember when that new Dragon Quest Monsters ft. Erik and Mia became whatever the heck Treasures was?!), and so on, have been totally MIA for a good while now. Like you say, it is down to management, so hopefully the S-E reshuffling last year helps them all a bit. Horii isn't exactly the most spry fellow these days, either, and yet seems pretty involved with the HD-2D Remakes and the tweaks and additions being made to the writing there, so I wouldn't be shocked if his attention is split. I think the Switch 2 Direct is going to be a good way to gauge where this game's at. Totally MIA? Yeah, 2027/2028 around the launch of next-gen (gross that we're already thinking about this...) seems pretty plausible, I'd have to agree. They can take as long as they want with this, XI is one of my favourite games of all-time so I'm happy to wait as long as needs be, and in the meantime Dragon Quest seems to be making more of a name for itself in the West with these HD-2D Remakes if the reception to III was anything to go by. My biggest concern when it comes to XII at this point honestly is that the HD-2D Remakes end up such a massive success that after I & II they end up greenlighting remakes of IV, V, and VI, potentially further splitting the attention of Horii and some of the other DQ creatives.
  5. In a total non-update, Yuji Horii has confirmed the game still exists: I'll honestly be shocked if we don't hear more about the game in the Switch 2 Direct at the start of April, I know we're waiting for more news on DQ I & II but it wouldn't make sense to me to only bring those games and not XII, which I think would absolutely be seen as a declaration of support for the platform (paired with whatever else S-E have cooking for the event), similar to XI being announced for the NX so far out. How much we actually see or hear about it, though, that's what I'm a little less bullish on.
  6. Always enjoy these threads @Glen-i, thanks for doing them! Looking forward to seeing what turns up The one and only time I tried to get into competitive Pokémon, back in Gen VI, the Gen IV Destroyer of Worlds finally revealed itself: Still one of my favourite pieces of Pokémon fan art
  7. Capcom are understandably looking at extending OBT 2 by 24 hours following the PSN outage earlier this weekend:
  8. All PS+ members will be getting 5 days of additional service tacked on:
  9. Balance is restored
  10. Damn it GameStop
  11. 18 hours now PSN has been down and this was the last update on it, nearly 17 hours ago: Wild, and pretty grateful I got my weekly online session with a friend in last night and wrapped up just a few minutes before this went down. Sucks for anyone who had plans around online for the weekend, or for those taking their first annual leave for the year this coming week. Without any communication, this seems to be the leading theory as to why it's happened: Whole thing is weird, and lack of communication makes it weirder. It going down in the evening hours on a Friday in the US surely can't have helped much either.
  12. PSA: PlayStation Network went down last night around midnight, some people are still experiencing issues. Wild. Wonder if the Monster Hunter Wilds OBT 2 gets extended? EDIT: bahahahaha some folks are playing Black Ops on Vita
  13. New additions teased for PlayStation: The Concert! Hilarious to me just how much the Naughty Dog one made me think of Days Gone – Bend just can't escape their shadow! Third one I could tell purely from the colour of the video lmao, 0:19 and the fourth one had me FREAKING OUTTTTTTT Super excited, this'll be my first concert and it's exclusively celebrating one of my favourite hobbies
  14. While I agree when it comes to the image shown in the patent, because it looks like it'd get caught on just about everything, the trailer itself had the add-on rail which bulked out the "bottom" of the Joy-Con in Mouse-Con mode, and seemed to have grips similar to what you see at the bottom of your typical computer mouse. So I imagine it'd be fairly smooth to drag around. I can't say that it looks particularly comfortable, though, especially for long-term use, so I've got to imagine there are going to be some accessories to improve the ergonomics of it when used as a mouse?
  15. Per the game's page on the Japanese eShop, the download size for the Definitive Edition on Switch will be 13.4GB, compared to the 22.7GB on the Wii U. I'm beyond convinced that Nintendo just has a room full of wizards they put to work for occasions like this
  16. Take-Two Interactive's quarterly earnings report has been released today – and they're still maintaining that GTA VI will release in Fall 2025. At what point are we allowed to actually start believing them?
  17. Dungeons of Hinterberg finally arrives on PlayStation on 13th March!
  18. New patents relating to the Switch 2 have been spotted, seemingly confirming that the Joy-Cons will have mouse-like functionality, but also showing off some other configurations. So we've got typical Mouse-Con use, dual-wielding Mouse-Cons, and then Joy-Con + Mouse-Con. Not quite sure what dual-wielding Mouse-Cons might add - seems weirdly perfect for a modern take on Katamari? I also wonder if they could be used in place of VR controls with the mouse detection to move your "hands" around a horizontal plane while using the sticks to move vertically? - but the Joy-Con + Mouse-Con set-up seems bang on for what you'd expect to see from an FPS I feel like...and could also be seen as eerily similar to a nunchuck + Wiimote, if they were to use the Mouse-Con on the right as the "pointer" and then the Joy-Con as the nunchuck to move around. Hmm. Interesting stuff! Bunch more images to look at in the link, too, including a potential dedicated Joy-Con charging dock.
  19. Three story expansions are set to drop across the next two months, per the game's Kickstarter page: Totally forgot these were coming; man, I really need to read these backer emails... Anyways, feel a little less guilty about not getting to the game last year now, and there'll be more for me to play when I do get around to it! Very happy that Murayama's last involvements with the game are seeing a release
  20. Release date and the accompanying trailer have both been taken down from the PS Store... Big yikes, someone's getting a good slap across the wrists today I imagine
  21. Grabbed the trailer: That music! The eye bulge!! Snake vs Monkey?!?!?!
  22. Well, there it is: the release date of 28th August 2025 has turned up on the PlayStation Store, including a release date trailer (which isn't yet up on any official channels, so can't share it). Guess I'll wait until it's officially announced to update the thread title with this release date just in case, but it's awesome that we seemingly have a date for this, at long last! Seems a good while off still, especially seeing as PlayStation had it earmarked as a 2024 release at the start of last year and it was playable at TGS...I can't help but wonder if they've avoided earlier in the summer to avoid potentially clashing with Kojima and DS2?
