I'm not sure that's totally true, as I've had zero issues with Rest Mode since launch. I did flirt with turning the console off every time I used it very briefly for a few hours around launch, but quickly forgot. *touches all the wood* Only crashes I've had so far were on launch day with Miles Morales, and that turned out to be down to be something I could reproduce through the mode I was playing in (Fidelity) before any major updates beyond the Day 1 patch.

Out of curiosity, can you still hear the game/console it crashes? And are you using a TV with a Game Mode or HDR? Because I think I've read a few accounts where disabling the Game Mode/HDR worked for some. Might be a bit of a pain but have you tried turning the console off rather than putting it into Rest Mode? Not ideal but I know it was a bit of a concern for some at launch. Either way, sounds like you're having a rough go of it with your console so far though, sorry to hear it

Looks like Ghost of Tsushima might be getting a Director's Cut after it was rated by the ESRB: @Mandalore I know you were asking about whether this was getting a PS5 version, so this might end up being what you were looking for. I loved my time with the game and the thought of using adaptive triggers for the sword...but I'd probably have to pass on it myself. Maybe. Maybe... Also...

Apparently it's been confirmed to be legit through Tweetdeck, as it still shows deleted tweets, so...yeah. All but confirmed until we hear more I guess, but that's definitely the one I've been hoping for! Great shout on the time, I hadn't even thought about the time in the US -- if it's going to be today, got to imagine it'll be around midday Pacific just to have everyone in the US covered, which would be around 20:00 this evening; but then again I could be totally off and they could do it at 12:00 Eastern, which would be 07:00 Pacific and 17:00 BST. It'd be a massive day for PlayStation if they announced both on the same day. Not sure if they'd do that, but either way, I think it's their way of getting eyes back on them after going quiet over E3 ahead of a potential State of Play, which would be smart.

There's also this interview with Hulst and Irari by Famitsu which is well worth a read. Some really amusing parts where they have to explain the jokes too I think it's great, they just seemed down on their luck a few years ago and now they've got a big hit on their hands and financial stability. It's got to be great as a creative to have that backing, and I have to imagine it boosts morale and confidence exponentially. I've liked these PlayStation acquisitions so far because they've been for companies that they have already teamed up with shown that they can get great results. It gives me confidence that they'll fit neatly into PlayStation's portfolio moving forwards, as they already have that working relationship, from which they will have already gained insight into expectations, wants, and needs. As soon as PlayStation start pulling the trigger on massive third parties that they don't necessarily have that sort of working relationship with, like Xbox have, I'll be the first to call them out on it. It's why I'm nervous about them not tying down Bluepoint, because Xbox could just as easily try to pull a move for them when they don't have that relationship at all. So, tell us what the deal was with that tweet in Japan about Bluepoint being acquired, PlayStation!

Sony have acquired Housemarque: I take it Returnal was a hit for them in the end then, which is great, as they seemed a bit lost and on the ropes just a few years ago. I'm still looking forward to getting around to playing it, think I'm just waiting on a Quick Save option to be honest. Now can PlayStation please stop messing around and acquire Bluepoint already? EDIT: Uhhhhhhhh guys, PlayStation JP apparently posted this before taking it down: They even included the Slayer of Demons in that lineup between Selene and Aloy. It could be fake, but I'm struggling to see how someone could possibly cobble something like this together that quickly. There was a link to the post which is now dead too. Did someone jump the gun on a Bluepoint acquisition? They don't have a post up about Housemarque, so I'm wondering if they got the two mixed up, but at the same time...the background image has another character included alongside Selene and a different (Bluepoint's) logo. Maybe this is something we'll hear about in the coming weeks?

People have been complaining about the balls in the past? Admittedly the Jabulani was a bit much at the 2010 World Cup, some of those balls flew in almost comically looking back, but knuckleballs are a meta unto themselves, and I always loved figuring it out with a new football each tournament. Yeah, agree with you and @LazyBoy that Sancho has to play tonight. But considering how many times we've said this so far in the tournament, it's hard to go in without doubting that he'll be there!

Yeah, the Laws of The Game dictate that tonight's big game will be boring after last night's matches. If anything I think that Sweden vs Ukraine will be the better one to watch for neutrals, can see both teams giving their all from the first minute to the last. It's tough for me to predict anything other than a Germany win, and yeah I think it could be a pretty boring one. Obviously deep down I'd like to see England do it, but if we go ahead I think it's clear that we don't have the maturity to manage the game and see it through, and on the other side of things, if we go behind I expect Germany's big game experience throughout the squad to shine through. There were glimpses of brilliance from Saka against the Czech Republic, but we're going to need to see that hunger and desire all over the pitch today if we want a result. And, unless there's a dramatic shakeup in the lineup today, I just don't think we've seen anything from this England side so far in the tournament which would point to us turning on the style in the way this Germany team is capable of.

Apparently there was a 30 minute stream late last night, around 6-8 hours ago, on the Pixel Remasters. Video seems to have been made private on YouTube since, but the biggest takeaway is that the first of the Pixel Remasters arrives in July. Also, more screens from each of the games: And a better look at some of the sprites: Still not a massive fan of the lighter coloured sprites but definitely looks better on Final Fantasy V than it does VI. I know people will point at how they looked on CRT's, and how this is closer to the true intent of the originals, but having played the SNES version of VI last year, it looks great as is and really doesn't need this done. It's your biggest IP, S-E. Give us some options to swap between this and the original colour palette and sprite work, and then bring them to consoles, you monsters. But to be clear, I'm not hoping for that, just bring this to consoles damn it.

Was finally able to catch up on the latest episode of The Bad Batch earlier today after a very hectic weekend.
-
Yeah, I wasn't confident at all that Mbappé would put his away. Just something in the air about it. A great penalty shootout. Brilliant night of football. France just didn't kill the game off, and their concentration lapsed in that final 10 minutes. But don't get me wrong: Switzerland deserved to go through just as much.
-
Penalties it is then. Cracking game. I know Benzema had to come off to protect him against potential injury, but Deschamps will be ruing taking Griezmann off, as he's been their usual penalty taker before this tournament. Really hope these penalties deliver some more excitement
-
Deschamps will be happy he held onto those subs. This France side seems to be struggling to see this 120 minutes through.
-
Crossbar from Coman after wonderful feet from Sissoko in the corner. Being a neutral is the best naturally this means tomorrow will be a boring 1-0 win for Germany against us
-
WHAT HAS TONIGHT BEEN?! This might be one of the single most enthralling nights in international football history. Another last minute equaliser. Can see Deschamps regretting bringing off Griezmann...
-
Oh my goodness, game on again. How many times is that today? Great day of football! France definitely took their foot off the pedal a bit there.

Bought the second Fighters Pass over the weekend as I had my brother over, had some good fun playing around with Sephiroth and Pyra/Mythra in particular. Look forward to digging into Kazuya with him next time I have him over As for the final fighter...am I the only one who wants to see the chaos that ensues when we find out that the final character is a sword-wielding, anime-styled Goomba?
-
Beautiful from Pogba. Shame he ruined it with the celebration but whatever
-
Well, never mind then. Not even two minutes later, France really turning it on, and now they're ahead. Great build-up play, that back heel from Mbappé was a beaut
-
The hoops I've had to jump through to catch the rest of this game...I'm currently having to watch it through a free trial to ITV Hub+ on Prime Video. Such a pain. But great timing, great goal by Benzema. Mind taking this to extra time please guys? I've missed the rest of it
-
Well, that's not a scoreline I imagine most of us expected to see tonight with Switzerland taking the lead. EDIT: funny thing is I had to tune in on my phone and just caught it as it loaded that match. ITV Hub app has been frozen in the corner in the 4th minute for a good 20 minutes or so now...

Insane match of football, great stuff. Hope Luis Enrique has learned his lesson tonight, for Spain's sake -- those substitutions towards the end of the second half very nearly cost them the game.
-
Of course it was Morata. Thunderous strike, absolutely deserved based on the rest of his game today!
-
Oh wow. Momentum was definitely swinging Croatia's way, but I wasn't expecting them to capitalise on it. Luis Enrique will be kicking his teeth right now with his substitutions, they're missing their strength. Koke is one hell of a fighter in midfield, Ferran Torres has been lethal up front, and Sarabia has perhaps been their best player in the tournament for them so far.
-
First impression was definitely that Spain somehow managed to keep that out, but that replay showed it was clearly well over. Thank goodness for goal line technology, extremely underrated piece of tech since it's come in. Will always think that they should effectively have a (much more) dynamic version of that with chipped boots to help figure out offsides and track player's feet specifically. Considering fingertips, elbows, a dip in the grass -- I really think it's just taking the wording of the rules too far.
