I will be dissapointed if brawl doesn't use the motion sensing, but remember there are those weird slots on the back of the retro controller so it might just be possible that the wiimote can be attached to the back of the retro controller and therefore create something like the controller for that thing sony have made, whats it called, the ps3? Anyway yes, i would be suprised if Shiggsy oe someone else at Ninty can't think up a way to use the motion controlls in brawl, its another thing that we will just have to wait and see what the final outcome is!

When it is launched in europe i plan to get the retro controller at launch and have everything ready, but i will wait a week before i connect to wiiconnect24 just in case the same thing happens, knowing my luck though i will probably still get one that has a problem... i had 5 original DS's! Until No5 they all had amazingly bad placed dead pixels! one of them had three right in the center of the bottom screen, in the blackboard cleaning game on warioware i kept thinking i had missed a spot!!! Anyway, lets all keep our fingers crossed that nothing untoward goes down in Europe.

That is one of my 'looking forward to' games as well, and so is the new mario smash football, i know its not very innovative but me and my dad spent so much time on the gamecube version it has to be a purchase, my dad was playing it on his own for ages once and he broke my controler!!

What Third Party Titles are you looking forward to next year? I don't know of any except elebits, the games i am looking forward to are all first party Nintendo games. I was just wandering what else was out there for next year, and what people would be looking forward to. (My first party 'excitement list' includes: Excite truck Smash Bros. Super Mario Galaxy-The real game i want above all others WarioWare Big Brain Academy and maybe Metroid)

Is it just me or is this motion sensing not sounding as perfect as it once did? Thanks for the responses

At the moment i am planning to have my wii set up permanantly in my living room, my tv is on a cabinet which means that i can either put the sensor bar on top, which i am not overjoyed at as it will look odd so i will likely have to put it out of sight when im not playing, or i could put it on the floor beneath the cabinet which is where i always planne to place it, if i put it there it will be about half a meter below the tv screen so i was wondering if it would be possible that the distance below the tv would cause a problem for the motion sensing and alter the way the controller behaves. Anyone got a wii and tested it out? Anyone else wondering about this? Anyone got anything at all to say on the matter?!

With all these quotes of figures flying around it is important to remember that as right now Sony would be able to sell as many consoles as it could make as far as the ps3 goes, any comparison of launch numbers are quite literally just a measure of which manufacturer could make the most units. In six months time i will be suprises if the situation looks anything like it does now. (I really do hope that the wii destroys the ps3, not much would make me happier than to see sony go out of business and have to pay for all the lies they have told and all the merciless sueings they have dished out, sony is such an immoral company i wouldn't put anything past them)

How the hell is this counter working? How do they get the information so fast to update it? Also we don't know how many wii units there are out there, obviously it is a lot more than the PS3 but did they really get a million out there? Still i don't see how the information could possible be transfered this fast from round america and japan (and Europe when it comes to 360)

These things always happen with home consoles, look at the trouble with the 360, handhelds are the only consoles that really have good working records. I assume that a lot of consoles have problems at the beginning because although they will have been tested they wont have been tested truly in a consumer environment until there are hundreds of thousands being used in real situations, and when you are dealing with that amount it is only natural that some go off the walls! We will just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best!

Now thats just taking things to far!

I couldn't let this opportunity pass, i have just realised that: I will have to use my dongle to have a Wii (Yes i know that you don't need one but just enjoy the childish humour for what it is!)

A while back i read somewhere that if you had the Nintendo Wifi USB adapter for the ds you would be able to link up the wii to the same wifi connection. Now though there is no mention of this anywhere, and with Nintendo and ONM constantly recommending that buffalo wireless router for the ds (apparently) it looks less and less likely that i will have the abaility to connect the Wii up to my broadband. I have seen all this ethernet stuff they have talked about but i know absolutely nothing about this except for it a actually connects to your wii with a cable, if this is the case then how does it work? Do you need to connect it straight to your broadband modem or does your modem still go to your pc and the ethernet cables goes from pc to wii? I was just wandering about this as a few people have raised concerns over their ability to get online. Anyone know, or does anyone want to thrown in their own questions?

Well seeing as how this has turned into a free for all of attacking retailers: Most Game shops i have been in might as well just change there name to 'Sony Official Shop' Yes that is game as in GAME the retailer

I have just read the following: http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6161926.html?sid=6161926 I was very suprised at the news especially how long the News and internet channel will take to become available. I was expectiing them to be either on the console all ready or available to download from the wii shop on launch. Strange that they waited until two days before its worldwide debut in america to tell us this as surely it will make some people feel cheated. I am dissapointed but it's not greatly important that i have news weather and internet channels at this time! What do you think?

Thats pretty much my view! The raw speed and incredible size of the environments when you are 'catching some serious air' makes it look so good!
