  1. Check out my sound activated lights!: I play this game way too much.
  2. Oh cool, cheers. Leaving my gates open while I have dinner if anyone would like to visit. BTW, @Ronnie, I can pop round again later on to re-water those white hyacinths, if you like. Have you got blue roses now?
  3. No worries. Any chance you could mail me one of those surfboards though? It didn’t save. Guess I’ll have to find that tree DIY again sometime too.
  4. Yep. Is it just the plain white cushion? I could send one to him. Watering!
  5. Does anyone have a spare Water Flooring or Underwater Wall DIY recipe that they’d be willing to trade for a Tropical Vista one? I didn’t think you were supposed to get duplicate seasonal DIY recipes before collecting the entire set first, but apparently you can. It can’t be ordered, no. But I happen to have a spare one if you’d like it.
  6. Cheers @Aneres11. BTW, I said 20 birthdays left to go for the Nook Miles a minute ago, but it’s actually not. Having just unlocked the last slot I can see that it’s 20 birthdays in total. Not too bad then. I know Marina’s birthday is this month too, so that’s potentially a few more right there as she’s on mine plus some other N-E islands I believe, and you can celebrate the same animal’s birthday on multiple islands while still increasing the Nook Miles total. Don’t have the recipe either I’m afraid.
  7. Cool. Ooh! Any chance I could pop over for that?
  8. Ok, so the unusual thing on my island is that your character will only leave footprints on the small section of beach directly south of my home, not on the rest of the beach areas! Likewise the sound of footsteps are pretty much muted when moving around on the footprint-less areas of beach! Now the reason for this is because I have covered the all of the beach (except that section near my house) with transparent floor patterns. As many of you will no doubt be aware, placing floor patterns prevents things from spawning in that particular location, which is useful for stopping weeds/fossils ect. appearing where you don't want them to. I'd been using this technique in several areas of my map already and one day thought, how about trying it on the beach. Now, why would you want to do that on the beach? I hear you ask. Well, it turns out you can use it to force all of the Manila Clams to only spawn in a certain location (in this case, directly outside my house) also increasing their rate of appearance (this was actually another potential way to solve the mystery for the competition BTW). Not only that, it makes collecting Gulliver's communicator parts super quick! Got 'em all within seconds the last time he visited. So yeah, it just started out as an experiment really, but when I noticed that it also removed footprints I decided to make a game out of it. Anyway, thanks once again to everyone who visited for this, and congratulations to Katie! You are officially the most observant Animal Crossing player on N-E!
  9. And we have a winner, @Katie submitted the correct answer via PM! I’ll post the details shortly. Thanks to everyone that took part.
  10. Nice try, but that’s not it. I have another clue, but it’ll pretty much reveal the answer I reckon, so I’ll wait a while before posting it. Remember, it’s something unusual.
  11. I hope you will be able to soon. Ok, another clue in addition to the one I gave out in-game yesterday about listening carefully: Paths are nice, aren’t they? I especially like the ones you can make yourself. Looks like you can’t do that in certain places anymore though... Leaving the gates open for a bit now, but will probably be AFK. As always, feel free to purchase anything from the shop.
  12. The gates are now open if anyone would like to shop or have a go at the competition. That fantastic golden prize is still up for grabs!
  13. OK, going to start doing some clues for the competition, here’s the first one: We often look up at the sky in the world of Animal Crossing, the weather, floating balloons, shooting stars... How about looking down for a change?
  14. OK, gates are closed now. Thanks to those who visited and for the bells you very kindly left behind. 172 for my afternoon price. Will open the gates again later on, probably around 8pm.
  15. I’ve left the gate open, so yeah just pop over anytime before 12.
  16. 414 on my island this morning! The gate is open if anyone would like to sell. Saharah is in town Bam is doing DIY (Barbell) Buy whatever you like from Nook’s Please water the flowers if you can, only the ones in fences though Oh, and the competition is still on.
  17. @BowserBasher, not going to be able to make it tonight now.
  18. I’ve finally changed outfit after discovering this tee:
  19. Attention fellow N-E villagers, I’m running a competition at the moment that you’re all welcome to enter! All you have to do is identify something strange about my island, and be the first person to submit the correct answer to me via PM on here. Now those of you that have visited before will be aware there are many unusual things about Saltopia, not least a giant Baby Face pixel art area on the map. But no, it’s obviously not that... And just to be clear, it is outside, so forget about any of the oddities inside my house. Anyway, the first observant villager to correctly guess what it is will be able to claim one of the following golden prizes!: “Ooooooooohhhhhh!” Golden watering can Golden slingshot Golden dishes Golden gears Gold rose wreath or simply a fabulous Gold nugget itself There’s no time limit, it’ll just be running until someone wins. Good Luck! Gates will be open at around 8pm, Nook’s is fully stocked (buy whatever you like) and the resident AC drug dealer (Leif ) is also in town.
  20. Size comparison: Probably not completely accurate, but either way, this thing is pretty much microscopic! I love it.
  21. Now THAT is my kind of handheld console.
  22. Yay! “I’m excited...”
  23. Some pics from tonight: Poor Bella. Extreme closeup!: I also discovered today that you can’t trick someone visiting your island into getting attacked by a wasp, I knew there was one in this particular tree and told @Sméagol to shake it, but all that happened was a tree branch fell out of it. As soon as you left my island I shook the tree and... Way to spoil my fun, Nintendo.
